I love the Alice Munro interview clip. I'm looking forward to the tribute video. I had been familiar with Danny Ramadan as a children's writer and it was terrific to hear about his work for adults. I have Wandering Stars and now I'm even more eager to get to it.
Well Danny is just lovely and Crooked Teeth sounds like I need to add it to my want to read list right now! I love short stories, especially when they are as good as Edward P Jones 😍
Hi Shawn, I really enjoyed your mystery guest Danny Ramadan. Especially agree with what he said about the difficulty in writing memoir. therapy is needed, but it is also therapeutic to write about trauma. Aloha.
I really enjoyed your conversation with Danny Ramadan and I second his recommendation to you of Rebellious Tide. Amber Dawn’s novel isn’t likely to be to your taste (although I enjoyed it) but I encourage you to check out her memoir How Poetry Saved My Life. Everett’s James isn’t satirical so I think you will get on with it much better than The Trees.
I really enjoyed your talk with Danny Ramadan.
I just started Wandering Stars last night. Looking forward to it even more now.

I really like this interview. ☺️👍
Thoroughly enjoyed your talk with Danny Ramadan; going to check out The Clothesline Swing and looking forward to Crooked Teeth.

You make me want to reread There There before picking up Wandering Stars. 🤩
Crooked Teeth sounds excellent and Danny was a lovely guest. Excellent review of Wandering Stars. Very interested to see how you get on with James.
This was fantastic. Thank you. I am also biased, when it comes to short stories. Danny Ramadan on my radar.

Those titles, most intriguing. Thanks again.
I just borrowed The First Palestinian from the library and I actually found one of Danny's short story collections translated into German!
Wandering Stars took me a little while to get into as well, but once there very much enjoyed it. I've now moved on to Colm Toibin's latest novel.

Great story by Alice Munro
I really enjoyed learning about your mystery guest's work. I'll be interested in hearing your opinion on James. Thank you for this.
I hope you and your family are finding peace in your memories of your Father.
