I have the shroud my first battery only lasted 3 months, that being said i Like it!
As long as it works for you, that’s what matters. Just keep that reminder to swap the battery!
I’m a new gun owner with a new Sig 365xl with a new Romeo Zero....
1) Paid full pop at my Local Gun Shop ($229). I’m a retired owner of an LBS (Local Bicycle Shop) = kindred spirits
2) Removing the cool, stock, glow in the dark rear sight was hard using the supplied dinky hex wrench. Luckily, I have T-Handle hexs...if you feel you’re about to strip screw - take a deep breath & buy a better tool or go to your LGS
3) SIG sells the metal shroud on their website now - $19.99. Haven’t bought one yet.
4) Polymer Shroud has same grip serrations as the grip itself - I’ve been chambering rounds sideways using the sight lately with no effect on dot
5) I recently clipped my nails & can no longer press the button. Letting my index finger nail grow. Might eventually let a manicurist paint a SIG 365xl w/RomeoZero on the nail
6) Duracell packaging states “10 Year Lifetime”. But that is how long they will last unused in the drawer. Did SIG marketing fall for that claim?:)
7) Cleaned my gun a couple times now. Need to be more careful keeping oil off the lens.
Thank you for your review
All excellent points! Great advice to anyone getting one of these optics.
And buying local is definitely the way to go if you can. Supporting local shops is always a better way to encourage growth in the 2A community around us.
Keep at it, and thanks for the comment! 👊
The sig sauer P-365 Romeo Zero I purchased ( doesn't have a 7 or anypoint light adjustment button )mater fact
the battery went dead after just a few months. It's also so bright it washes out the back drop to the point you can't see the backdrop. Had to replace it with Vortex Defender
I don’t have experience with the Vortex, but I hope it works well for you!
Seems these Romeo Zeros are very hit or miss. Recently took mine out of the safe (sitting on a S&W 5.7 and it was completely dead. Seems like the degrading battery life is beginning to be a trend.
How’s the Romeo zero Rds performing for you now? Any long term updates?
Still going along well with no issues! I’ve noticed a few small scratches on the polymer lens, but with normal use this is expected. Especially since it isn’t glass.
@@RangeDay thanks for the reply! I’m really on the fence with this rds. I don’t want to break the bank but also want to get a decent mrds. I’m mainly going to use it for ccw and range days.
It’s been well to me but others have had mixed experiences. I plan on replacing it with a 407/507k in the near future!
Whats that grip texture? Its awesome!
Talon Grips Pro Texture! We’ve got a review on the channel and are very pleased with them!
Keep ur dot at Level 4 brightness and u should pass a year and a half for sure.
I believe you’re spot on here.
I typically run my red dot a little brighter than most people as well due to my light, so I have to change the battery more often.
The big thing is knowing to change the battery before you need to!
I threw mine away....cheap, cheap, cheap......put a wonderful 507k on it. Love it. My p365 xl.
To each there own! We definitely want to get our hands on and test a 507k and do a side by side comparison.
While the Romeo Zero has its place, we have no doubt that the 507K is probably a top notch optic. With what we’ve experienced, you can’t go wrong with them.
What didn't you like about it?
I agree the red dot that comes on the gun is junk. No light adjustment! Small on of in front of glass fingers better be clean to turn off and on
So bright you can't see clearly. Batterywent dead in two months. Replaced with vortex defender
Um.. 20k hours is 2 years and some change.
Yes absolutely!
After looking into this, I believe how they classify this stat is the optic will stay functional for 10 years on the same battery, but the 20,000 hours is constant on at a lower setting.
Good catch on that!
Thanks for the video but Sig Sauer Romeo Zero is a waste of time and money ,get a Holosun 507c.
That Romeo zero is now actually swapped for a 407k-GR. What a difference.
@Range Day care to elaborate am weighing the pros and cons
I need an RMSc footprint that Does not require me grinding off the posts on my slide. There are only two sights in this category, Shield RMSc and Romeo zero. I don't know of the Springfield Hex wasp uses the posts or not. but their Hex dragonfly, couldn't hold zero and wouldn't say on.. I went through 4 of them
Don't care for it i hard to adjust
Full agree with the adjustment. It is a terrible design. I’m not sure why SIG thought no audible clicks was a good idea.
This is the worst red dot ever! Throw it in the trash, bought a 407k 6MOA green dot and it is perfect for my XL!
Uncle Ray here on the channel got the red dot 407K for his carry and it was a great dot. Thinking of switching over here in the near future to either a 407 or 507K.
What happened on your Romeo Zero? For others scrolling through the comments, it may help decision making. It is quite the polarizing optic. Either works decent or has a load of problems for users!
@@RangeDay it is really hard to change brightness, plastic housing is very flimsy, can’t zero it even with laser bore sighter, (zeroed the 407k within 2 minutes), don’t talk about removing the whole thing when change battery and re zero that crap all over again! 407k now cost the same and it is superior in every way, why waste money on the Romeo pos. For me that Romeo sight is a joke.
It would appear that I’m the only person on the internets that like the Romeo Zero better than the 507k. I’ve tried the green and red 507k, and I just swapped back to the Romeo Zero. I can’t get used to the distortion that I get from the Holosun. And as for now, I also prefer a single dot over the 32 MOA circle, or circle/dot reticle.
You always represent yourself with knowledge and wisdom. And very well on the Intel. Like always you're very well dedicated to your work. And I appreciate that. Keep on representing like you always do true patriot. With love and honor. It always carries you through anything you do. You are blessed by the hands 🖐️ of God. One love. And God bless. Thanks again as always Michael! Hearing feedback and learning from it is one of the reasons we do what we do here at Range Day!
Stay at it, and keep doing what you’re doing brother! 🇺🇸
