Yet, the one thing that most people notice about Patrick isn't his ability to copy - it's his authenticity. Like his heroes, artists like Bobby "Blue" Bland, Doug Sahm, Joe Tex, Patrick somehow manages to blend all of these influences into something all his own.

That is some pretty good guitar picking going on behind that amazing vocal performance. You can tell he feels it. I enjoy the electronic studio recording of this song, but this stripped down acoustic version shows where this song really came from. I dig it.
