Benjamin Tod has been one of my favorite artist for the past 5 years. The man sings from the heart. Sings from life's trials and tribulations. Class act fella.
Pretty cool seeing people that grew up in the punk scene, possibly with hard pasts, make it so far in country music. Sierra, Benjamin. Just proves if you have passion for the music, and grind you can make it.
I remember seeing them buskin in Nashville, now I see him every chance I get on the east coast. So deserving. Love him and Ashley and all that they do. Just genuinely good souled people touching the souls of strangers.
I'm 44 brother... I Love you and will always support your music. I Live outside of Louisville in Simpsonville, Kentucky. Just recently found you and your band. I'm obsessed and can't get enough. Can't wait to buy the vinyl album. Your helping me... Trying to get off the booze. Quit the drugs back in 2018.
Hang in there. Don't give up. I was in that bottle for about 25 years. Out of it about 15 or so. Keep trying no matter how many tries it takes. The light you see at the end of the tunnel. Is not a train coming at you. It's the sky opening up and lighting the path. Hoping for your sobriety and wishing for you the very best.
I’ve made every single dollar I’ve ever made busking and selling art work on the street 8 years ago since I turned 18. Benjamin Tod has been a prime example of the kind of man I inspire to me. Spent the last 4 years in that raw creative space alongside abusing drugs/alcohol and discrediting all the hard work I put in. I’ve always found true strength in vulnerability and honestly about these trials that we all may face one day. Your music has been a catalyst so many countless days to understand my pain and where I am and what I wish to be to this world. The love these two share and their “imperfect” story only paints such a more beautiful picture to what life truly has to offer when we find accountability and never “knell” to what we don’t believe.
I love this brother's music so much and Ashley too. Just the best. I do hope to see them live some day. Benjamin bless you man, glad ya'll are still around.
You earned it man. Been listening since barefoot surrender. You are the true goat. Nobody has ever deserved it more than you. Thanks for impacting my life. Thanks for showing us all it’s possible to chase dreams and succeed. From the gutter to a king. Make sure u take care of that dodge pickup homie✊
Ive been following this guy/girl for about a decade LDSB. Most underrated traditional folk/country music players. The violin/guitar is excellent. More than once their songs moved me to tears.
I just recently discovered you and your music. Awesome. Your life story is amazing and I'm glad you survived it all. Keep on keeping on brother, your story and music are amazing. Would love to meet you some day and shake your hand.
Been watching him since GEMS on VHS. However he did talk crap about the Opry and selling out. Either way...dude is a good musician and i hope he does well from here on out. Thankfully he hasn't covered up the HOBO zip code tat 🤘
This couple lives a life few of us would have the grit to willfully endure; yet we all wish we could. They had the courage to reject society's Social Contract in favor of hopping trains to busk for anyone with the good sense to set their bags down to listen to what will become great. We're being swallowed up by Starbucks and brand names... we need to fiercely protect authenticity when we see it, and brother let me tell you... they don't come more authentic than LDSB
I can’t think of a more deserving artist to play the Ol Opry
Agreed!

"What worth is a man's heart, if it beats not freely?" .. incredible quote!!!
Benjamin Tod is the only man in the last 10 years to deserve this.
I remember seeing them like 10 years ago on RUclips and now here they are
Yep, I found them a decade ago on YT too! They've been my favorite band since!
Benjamin deserves this so much..
Its a shame that REAL country and REAL musicians cannot get any mainstream love.
Since his first video on RUclips him busking I'm in tears he deserves this so much!
Ben, you didn’t have to “kick down the doors”, you deserve this more than anyone.. Congrats bro, can’t wait to see y’all in Cincinnati in Dec
American troubadour, poet and songwriter extraordinaire, It all comes from life and experience!
Always exciting when ACTUAL country artists play the Opry
Listening to “I’m Using Again” helped me to not go back to that place ~ thank you Mr Tod
YESS!! Finally! Seeing this, seeing Sierra Ferrell and Nick shoulders song during a commercial during NFL is sick!

If my wife didn’t fight for me, I’d be dead. It’s a crazy feeling.
How do we watch the actual show?!?! What a story
Lets go ben
This couple lives a life few of us would have the grit to willfully endure; yet we all wish we could. The next Johnny cash and June Carter!!!!
Well, in his own words he sold out.But As odd as it may sound I'm just happy to see.He got the chance to sell out
Ashley Mae?! That’s my name! Can’t wait to see ya in Arkansas. We are so excited to see ya!
"Grand Ole Opry is for posers and sellouts" ...I can remember him saying that. Talking about how punk he was and now he's the opposite. Stay trendy !
Was he wrong? lol. A platform is whatever you make of it.
Nah, get what you earned on your terms. And then live the life how you want.
I was just talking about how I went with friends to a show and he gave all the dk kids the cold shoulder
This guy definitely deserves this!
Well deserved!
Fantastic news! Best of luck Ben from Applegate Oregon
How can I see the whole performance?
Trying to figure this out as well to no avail
@@KingEdwardMMVIII thanks for the reply, thought I was the only one.
Legend
benny big-time now
3:30 he looks almost identical to Bryce Mitchell.
Long time coming! How have they not invited you years ago? Genuinely curious.
Shout out to leftover salmon
Authentic… isn’t that Country 🇺🇸
Train geek here. CSX trains don’t run to Montana. This video is edited poorly
Looks like bens going to sell out
I bet he called an Uber when he got off the train. “Let me stop at the expensive cowboy hat store”
You deserve every secpnd of this Ben, i hope to see you and Landon Ashworth doing some work together soon!
