I've watched that video as well... I have a wool-cashmere blend coat that I bought from a mango store in Berlin almost 25 years ago, and I still wear it every year. I also have a client who gifted me a Jimmy Choo clutch that she rarely ever carried. Upon the first time I carried that purse, the tassel that was on the closure fell on the ground before I made it back to the car from the restaurant. I remembered that incident so clearly because I was wearing that Mango coat that same evening and got countless compliments on the coat, but nobody ever noticed my bag. That is proof that elegance is more of a perception of how you carry yourself rather than what you are carrying.
I like this reaction- but I never had any problems understanding what Anna meant. Having said that - I didn’t realize others could misinterpret these things. So I am impressed with your explanations as well. Anna reiterates a lot of things that our great grandparents taught us that so many have let fall away.
Hallelujah to the point about education. I used to think education is essential. Now I’ve come to learn that success (in all its forms) does not always require formal education. Well said!!👏👏
I was rewatching this, and the education side of it really struck home. In Denmark, as with the UK, there is a debate about the pay of professions such as nurses, physiotherapists, radiographers, etc. One of the things I've heard is that academics are often paid similar amounts, despite being (according to themselves) better educated -well, I think they are and they aren't! They do definately have a higher level of education, but it doesn't always prepare them for a specific job - when they do get out into the work place, they often need to start from scratch, whereas healthcare professionals are off and running, with minimal need for baby steps. My husband is another case of not needing a higher qualification, he's an electrician with an extra education that lies somewhere between an ordinary electrician and an electrical engineer - he is doing a job that would typically be done by an electrical engineer. He has a wealth of practical job experience that has meant that he is able to do this, and in some cases, he has more theoretical knowledge than an engineer - not bad for someone with dyslexia whose maths teacher wrote off as not being even electrician material (that says more about the teacher, than my husband btw). He has been offered the option of an engineer education by his employer, but feels that it's a lot of work for little or no gain in terms of knowledge.
Wowww your emphasis on “doing” and “creating something” really got me thinking on balancing my time educating myself and really doing something!! Thanks so much ☺️
Anesu, even though I am older than you, when I grow up, I want to be just like you. This was such a refreshingly delightful video, skillfully and carefully providing an informed perspective on every day taken for granted assumptions. I thoroughly enjoyed your perspective. You have helped to refine my thinking about my purchasing power. I appreciate you. Thanks!
Great reaction video. Your more in-depth conversation regarding education, “quality food” etc.. is what Ana should have expounded on rather than leaving her audience to make assumptions about what she really meant.
Hey Kelly I’ve missed you in my comments section! I hope you are having a good summer. I felt the video needed a little more depth and explanation in some parts for you to appreciate the points she was making. An interesting topic that could have gone in a number of directions. Thank you for watching Kelly!
Thank you, I’m learning a lot from you (and Anna too). You asked about how to discern quality from fast fashion items - as a former sales assistant in fashion retail we would know that some of the pieces that came in were really good quality because we handled so many items and often I’d wait for those to come in each year. For example our linen shirts were really lovely, material sourced from France even though they weren’t sewn there. However the finishes were still very good, no loose buttons or unfinished threads. I used to compare ours with the other stores in our mall and more expensive linen shirts in other stores often had badly finished hems and loose threads, I wouldn’t ever buy them. So construction, finish and fabric is a good clue even with a fast fashion store. We also had a guarantee that our items were sewn in ethical factories and workers had good conditions, I felt proud of that and it was an important factor.
I love how elegant and feminine you are mainly how you speak about luxury. I have learned so much from you when it come to investing into quality items to live a luxurious lifestyle ✨🥂
Wow. Beautiful content. I so understand your viewpoint on education and food having experienced both luxury and poverty myself. Very well put reaction. 🙌
Anna actually does teach about being your own stylist and how to evaluate clothing :). It takes time and research, but even some budget items are good quality. Great video thanks for sharing.

Fantastic article! I have tried to research luxury buying behaviour extensively and never come across your recommended article - thank you! It will be quoted in the future. It succinctly states the points I’m trying to make I feel like a broken record as some of my audience don’t get the points. I simply have to try harder but we will get there. You hit the nail on the head she has a massive audience that’s largely aspirational and i sometimes feel there is a slight disconnect and as you have said steps in between have been missed. i have unfortunately seen lots of people criticizing Anna and her videos, while i think she is providing value to our degraded society. i haven't seen your channel before and thought this was going to be another "Anna is wrong/ridiculous/over the top" type of video. with only five minutes of watching so far, i think it's a lovely reaction video. it's more like you having a conversation with Anna and expanding on the different topics she brings up. you elegantly added your opinions to the conversation and this is what i was actually looking for. there aren't a lot of content creators talking about elegance and i just wanted to find some other perspectives and hear additional input. thank you for such a lovely breath of fresh air! i have subscribed to your channel as well ❤
Great video, everything you say is so on point and presented in such a professional, respectful manner. While the original video is just shallow clickbait IMO.
Hi Anesu, I love you Chanel and it is really educational. Your language is beautiful and yet elegant. Please keep doing what you have been doing and I love all of them. :)
First off, you look gorgeous Anesu. I am a fan of Anna Bey so to have you dissect her video is very interesting as I value your advice and opinions tremendously. I totally agree with you on the education part as I myself know self made rich people who can't read a word but with their hard work and networking skills they have build a successful business. Thank you so much for your wisdom as always. I always enjoy your videos. Love from Canada.
I think that what Anna was trying to say when she mentioned about finding quality even on a budget is that's there are different levels of quality on each price point. Another option would be buying second hand, so you would still buy qualify when on you are on a budget. I personally come from a very low income family. When I graduated from college, making 40K a year (that's before paying taxes) I was buying from Forever 21, even bought from Shein. But then I noticed I was buying garbage and some pieces I was not even able to wear once. I started buying from H&M, and for you and Anna, that's probably a huge NO. But I bought clothing from H&M in 2016 that I am still wearing today. I might not look as well dressed like you or Anna (not because the clothes have holes, but because I have noticed that people who wear expensive clothing look different.. there is something about those clothing.. not sure how to explain it), but I don't change my wardrove every season. Now, I am into buying quality clothing, even if it is second hand. I don't make enough money to drop $600 on a dress so I either buy second hand or try to look for good quality at a price point I can afford.
You said it there is something different about expensive clothing. With clothes experience is the best teacher. You have the right attitude you will figure it out.
I subscribed to your channel because I love how classy you are with low profile high quality items such as Loro Piana (and that's how I found your channel as I love Loro Piana). I am also a subscriber of Anna Bey's channel and I like her talking about those lost classic fashion there once was. But here, although that video that you are talking in particular, that I thought Anna did not nail her usual points a 100%, I still think your channel and hers don't mix really. Yes, I agreed with every points you mentioned here, but she's not targeting the exact same audiences you are. So I thought I comment on this as I love your broadcasts and I hope you keep them the way you did, not reacting to some others. Thanks
Thank you, good to know. Agreed our channels do not mix but my creating a reaction video wasn’t about that. She has an audience that’s also interested in my content by reaching out to her channel I’ve been able to draw in more people who are also interested in my content but didn’t know about my channel up until yesterday. My broadcasts will still be the same but from time to time I will create reaction videos to draw in new subscribers and quite a few subscribers have said they enjoy my reaction videos plus the back end analytics have confirmed it! To grow my channel reaction videos are something I’ll do from time to time and not as part of my core offering. I hope you understand and hopefully you will enjoy a few along the way.
Love your content; slightly off topic - but you should do a video at the Henry Jacques boutique inside of Harrods - its under the radar, top of the top, in perfume luxury
Quality in general, is something we should be looking for, sometimes more expensive brands have items that aren't good quality and fast fashion can have items that are well made with an attention to detail. As far as education goes, I do think it's very important, but (and this is a big but), it doesn't necessarily mean formal education! The school of hard knocks teaches you things, and that could be considered "education". Our parents educate us, just by raising us - they teach us their morals, work ethics etc.
Hello , I just subscribed to your Chanel ! I love it , can you please make a video about Susan Szatmary ! I discovered it on a video talking about royality choices for bags !i will appreciate a lot to watch a complete video about it please 🙏🏻
I disagree with people buying luxury for identity. I would not negate that people are lured into buying it for that reason. But a few people that I watch on RUclips and myself included, don’t really care about the brand that much, just the quality and design. If I like it and it’s of good quality I will buy it, from contemporary brands to luxury brands. I believe that’s why I naturally like bags/ shoes that do not advertise the brand in a loud way or at all. I buy luxury for the quality foremost. You can get a nice design at a cheaper form ( faux leather, etc) and it won’t last. You end having to buy another item to replace it and it’s a never ending cycle, and arguably more money.
You are right it's a never ending cycle. What's important and are you are doing is buying what you like and quality first and foremost. You are on track, keep going 😊
Shhh you will get me into trouble with my mother she has been telling me for months to make content for men and I’ve finally buckled. Please stay tuned!
I like this video but i feel just as she says - elegant woman are sustainably conscience…i guess its under her “laws of being an elegant woman” because i have seen people who have everything and appear one way and act another- Also Education is not just a school room and tuition… you really dont know how she meant it -paying for or investing in an education can be paying someone for their time and investing in yourself your mind learning something in 2 hrs like cooking or sewing that you can turn into a side hustle- these reaction videos get you controversy and comments and they are entertaining- good video
I think a lot of her points were not very clear and could have been more conclusive. Agreed about education that’s exactly what I was saying it’s not all about books and school, experience is as good a teach of not better! Thank you for watching my content.
What I dont understand is why anna has 2 million subscribers and you dont. One thing I can say, if the criteria was elegance, the numbers would be reversed. Zara- I dont know how they do it but they have amazing blouses. I have bought some I wore for years and then SOLD.
I’m subscribed to both channels. I think many of your points aren’t really counter arguments to Anna’s positions, particularly with education and sustainability. She teaches lifestyle in a coaching format which is different than your more narrow topics. She covers far more than floral arrangements. I think you missed the mark but likely from a lack of familiarity.
Great! My points are not counter arguments. The majority of the points she made are not elegance specific or relevant but advice for anyone. She could have better tailored the arguments to an elegance context. I think. Yes our channels are very different and therefore our perspectives… I didn’t suggest she covers floral arrangements. Floral arrangements came up in the context of specific courses relevant to elevating or exposing you to elegance depending on the lifestyle you are trying to achieve. I didn’t think it was enough to suggest investing in education as an alternate use for your money but what type of education. And specifically as I was trying to suggest in the context of an elegant lady. Floral arrangement is relevant in the context if someone who likes entertaining extensively at home for example. I don’t think I missed the mark I don’t think you really heard what I was saying without judgment clouding your thoughts.
@@SoAnesu i don’t find her transparent with her information ,to join her school you have to pay around 300 dollars, but there are not many reviews about her “School of Affluence” 😅. Some people say they got scammed by her, now that I don’t know for sure, but i don’t identify with her at all, so I prefer not to watch. Maybe because I also prefer to watch people that encourage women to get their own money and not teach women how and where to find a millionaire 😅😅 so is all about preferences 😀 i like your videos a lot tho, i just discovered you today, thanks again.
I will do one day. Let’s put it out there. You are too kind. Thank you for watching my content and your support.
I think.
Yes our channels are very different and therefore our perspectives…
I didn’t suggest she covers floral arrangements.
I don’t think I missed the mark I don’t think you really heard what I was saying without judgment clouding your thoughts.
i always feel she works too hard to achieve elegance
Elegance is an attitude / vibe and we all arrive at it differently so I can appreciate your point.
You’re taking everything Anna says out of context.
1/2 things but everything? Shucks! 🤦🏾♀️ Thank you for watching my content.
I don’t like Anna or her videos at all, thanks for the video
Ouch, why not? Thank you!
Greetings from Germany 😊keep up the good work 👏🏼
I think Anna is like marmite.
Thank you and good to have you onboard.
