"Aeterna is the big, epic opener of the album and it comes with this amazing video too, directed by Patric Ullaeus. It definitely sounds the closest to Epica and Ayreon, blending powerful Latin lyrics with a touch of an oriental feel. We’ve tried to strike a balance between the mighty, bombastic sounds and the more atmospheric parts.Since it’s the first track people will hear from this album, it’s super important to us and we’re really excited for people to hear it!
Aeterna takes the point of view of a star about to go supernova to explore how everything in the universe is interconnected, like a cosmic web made from stardust. It deals our deep emotions, consciousness and other mysteries of life that science still can’t fully explain. Essentially it’s a reflection on our place in the vast universe and the connections that bind us together, as we’re all, to quote Carl Sagan, “made of starstuff."

Imho this has some Transitus vibes. Simone has some vocals there. And it has a story line, she plays a death angel with black wings. Check out how Daniel descends into transitus.

O boy, don't we live in fantastic times music wise? Arjen really spoils us with all those new fantastic goodies thrown around. I don't know what to choose. Everything is gorgeous. Simone is a power house to be taken very very serious. Especially in this dark angel look that I know from Daniels descent into transitus.

By the way all the choir type voices are multiple overdubs of Simone only and there is one male singer but I forget his name at the moment. Also Rob Vandeoo Epica bassist is on the album as well

I think there is a lot of Ayreon vibes in this, vibes that takes me to the Ayreon album called Transitus..
Strong opener, exited for rest of album, but i do think album will not be like this all the way, heard there is songs on Dutch to and stuff, so proberly a mixed candyshop..
