I think they were talking about no major injuries. There were four minor injuries, but there were no reports of the copilot being injured.
They landed on their feet. It doesn't even look like that far of a drop though the camera is at a distance.

Not to sound like it wasn’t a miracle but while nobody was killed in the ditching of USair Flight 1549, about 95 people suffered minor injuries while 5 others still suffered serious injuries.

Apparently the emergency services were very slow to respond
Not really, their response time was normal. The fire developed very quickly and it takes longer to get to a gate than the runway, plus they can't start spraying until passengers have evacuated. There was fuel leaking from the wing which ignited when the engine shut down.
What would the point in quick response be after the passengers are off the plane....do you think anybody will want to repair the damage and fly that airframe ever again? Let it burn and keep everybody at a safe distance, it's a lost cause.

@@tonydighera5286 The tail of the aircraft slanted on to the ground during the fire, and was thouroughly taken apart in the process of the investigation, that later revealed Böing's lack of engineering knowledge with the downstop mechanism.

this was featured on air crash investigation. a pin inside the wing got loose during landing. made a hole letting avgas out thus reaching the engine. the pin's location was a bit tricky to reach during maintenance.

It actually is raw footage you uneducated potato there was a man who said he recorded it on his camcorder therefore it is raw footage because if an event happened and it was shown on tv but there was some other parts which weren't shown or will never be shown then it is called raw footage because it is something rare to se e.
The video ended on a good note so this is probably the only time 'it's brighter here' is actually fitting.

You don't read the seatback cards, do you? You are not supposed to open the doors if fire is seen. This was actually improper protocol and panic by the flight crew. The evacuation should have all gone out the side opposite the flaming engine side of the aircraft!

@@tonydighera5286 Fire wasn't seen outside the door window. Same with smoke because of wind conditions. The FA's were fine to open R1 and R2 doors. The Window exits are a whole different story.

I’m sure their is, but usually the bad stuff is what surfaces more often because it makes more money for the media companies. Every nations has its moments, good and bad, but what the media decides to show us is usually how most make their ideas about it.
