I like the 350 NX over the Crown Signia, also the Rav 4, seems like for a little more you get a much better ride, less noise and a 14” screen. Count me in. I wish the front grill was like the Crown, matching body paint color. I may get it white and have the grill made white with vinyl. Cool, I just learned about this car this week. Wondering if Lexus will be more expensive to have the car serviced, if so how much more than Toyota?
Damm! That overtrail looks nice and something i was looking for Luxury with some ruggedness. Love my 24 RX350 tho… need the space for baby. ~ that green and black interior is super nice!
In the US press release issued today, Lexus did not mention anything about improved handling/quietness. However, they confirmed that the overall height and ground clearance both increased vs. the 24 models. I wonder if this means there was a change in the suspension. For Japan, Lexus touted the improvements they made in handling/quietness. I am trying to find out if those changes are also on the US models. The change in height/ground clearance make me think (hope?) the US models were also changed/improved. I was about to buy a 24, but would wait for a 25 if it had improved handling/quietness.
We just bought a NX hybrid, the cloudburst gray is darker and more sparkly than her friend’s NX300 Nebula gray. My wife’s likes the darker gray, pure personal preference.
My wife said the same thing. She had a 08 RX350 with wood steering wheel and now a 24 NX hybrid. The NX heated leather steering wheel wo wood feels better than the RX.
Moon Desert is pretty rough...it's like if Lexus made military vehicles. Also, who is taking their Lexus off road to the extent that it needs to look like it's an off-road vehicle?
It would be nice if Lexus and Toyota cars were really made in Japan. I understand the car would cost more, but supposedly better built and as a consumer, you get your money out of it in the long run.

Thanks for the info Kirk.. But, of course, Lexus did NOT address the most critical upgrade that the NX and RX really needed.. Right now the NX and RX have extremely poor outward visibility in all directions.. This is so important for driving safety. In fact, unfortunately, most Lexus and Toyota models have this major problem.. To fix this Toyota and Lexus really need to raise the rooflines about 3" to 4" (inches) in the NX and RX and on most models.. That would not only help with outward visibility, but also make the cabin feel more comfortable and NOT give the driver and passengers that "closed in" and cramped feeling.
My wife changed from her 08 RX350 to a 24 NX350h, no issue with visibility for her. The roof line is a little low for ingress and egress. If you are tall, it might not be that easy to get in and out.
I can’t believe Lexus is so cheap in providing some very basic features on this car unless you buy the most expensive upgrade although even the basic ones are supposed to be ‘luxurious’ too and they are very expensive too! I’m talking very basic stuff all other much cheaper cars have these days such as remote engine running, seat ventilation in HOT countries, a decent sized screen around 12 inches AT LEAST, projector on screen. These ARE VERY BASIC STUFF TO HAVE!!! You must have more and more for the higher models. I’m so very disappointed and I assure you Lexus that ppl are choosing other car manufacturers just for these small stuff you can easily add and I’m one of them.
I think black wood is ok but any brown woods in a car remind me of my grand parents cars especially the fake wood from their 70s to 80s cars. Gross. I got to sit in a new GX and I actually liked that it didn't have wood or too much piano black surfaces, gave it a more premium look to me. However, I do still think manufacturers should offer wood interior options for the top luxury trims because it seems like a lot of older buyers like that.
I’m not old but my 2025 NX350h Executive trim has the black wood trim and I didn’t think I would like it but it’s actually really nice! Who knew??? lol 🤷♂️
@@TechJunky777 I agree, I do like the higher trim NX black wood. It does give it a premium appearance. I’ve heard a lot of criticism of recent Lexus products not including enough wood trim like previous generations. Most older Lexus models have brown wood trim which seem outdated by modern standards. Black or matte wood finish can be quite luxurious nowadays but I don’t think Lexus should be offering gloss finish brown wood if it wants to remain relevant to current buyers.
@@Beanercounter Agreed! 👍 edit Lexus is so good at marketing with respect to not getting options on the top trims with respect to each other. I would love to have the executive trims paired with the sport handling but they just do not give the option for it. 🤷♂️

any improvement on EV range for the 450h? 70kms vs 130kms that MErcedes offers with the GLC
will the NX overtail come has a PHEV so we can use room mode and camp out ?
In Japan it does.
Do you know when is it going to be in the market?
They might as well call it the Airplane edition. About as realistic as driving the NX off road.
Did they solve the high-voltage cable corrosion issue on the NX hybrids?
Kirk do you think the ride on this will be quieter and nicer than the Crown Signia?
Kirk, The NX 'Over Trail' needs an upgrade to the TNGA-F platform so we can have the compact Land Cruiser we want.😉🤣
We’re literally getting a baby Land Cruiser on TNGA-F
Don't think its coming out on TNGA-F
It's possible it's too small for F.
Does this Over Trail model get a spare wheel to actaully be able to take it off the asphelt?
Is the hybrid 5th generation or 4th?
They should upgrade the NX with the 500h setup. And then 550h to the RX.
Performance wise the 450h+ is very close to the 500h. And it gets 40-45 miles of EV range.
Would like see Nebula gray color added
We just bought a NX hybrid, the cloudburst gray is darker and more sparkly than her friend’s NX300 Nebula gray. My wife’s likes the darker gray, pure personal preference.
I like the wood everywhere but the steering wheel. It gets uncomfortable on long trips.
My wife said the same thing. She had a 08 RX350 with wood steering wheel and now a 24 NX hybrid. The NX heated leather steering wheel wo wood feels better than the RX.
Ignorant question - do all current Lexus NX models have Homelink and memory driver seats?
Moon Desert is pretty rough...it's like if Lexus made military vehicles. Also, who is taking their Lexus off road to the extent that it needs to look like it's an off-road vehicle?
It would be nice if Lexus and Toyota cars were really made in Japan. I understand the car would cost more, but supposedly better built and as a consumer, you get your money out of it in the long run.
Team Sailor Moon Desert !
Not much of a change.
................. Any Model would LQQK Substantially BETTER IMO.... if the front fascia is " F " Sport with the Large Gloss Black air intakes & Black Chrome w Gloss black spoke mag/rims....... I personally LIKE the Circut Red with Black Inserts (very Sporty) interior!....LQQK's GREAT with Atomic Silver or White exterior!
I am 6 foot, I wonder how hard it would be to get in for me.
Got mine on order.. 2 years 😢
I think black wood is ok but any brown woods in a car remind me of my grand parents cars especially the fake wood from their 70s to 80s cars.
We call this colour “Baby Shit Brown” in Australia….
The hazel is BSB for sure
Biggest change is colour. No chrome due to be not eco friendly 😂
Just got 2025 nx 350h .
Nice, I jus hope they Fixed the Driver side door mirror glass🙄Which Lexus Claims their is No Fix. I say BS!! Well, this is what happens when u buy a New from ground up car...🙂🙃
Did I miss the engines for 25?
i drove own, a very fun car.
I like wood and a cd player...really!
I hope the nx is getting a spare tire
Moon desert, Earth, Baby begie. same thing...
Can I get some clarification? For the improvements, do they apply to 2024 MY? Lexus's press release does not say it explicitly, and I read it on another site saying it's for 2024 MY.
Nice
The RX is not “enormous” 😂. I’m prob the only one that doesn’t Earth color - looks like a new beige to me. I thought Overtrail is only for Bof suv’s…
The new RX is as big as an older 7-seat Honda Pilot!
It is..
Great video, Kirk. I am with you on the wood interior. It’s why I still keep my 2014 ES. It just feels like Lexus has driven away from putting in a lot of wood interior. I really miss their older build quality as compared to the new ones.
they should add a spare tire like rav4 otherwise it’s useless
The NX could use more storage space.
Sooo get an RX or GX or TX 😂
@@DarenBrantley In comparison to its counterpart the RAV4 it’s very possible to give the NX more interior space.
Everyone knows that color is Cosmic Clay, cmon now 😂
Nx or Rav4 prime?
Prime or 450h+?
@@KirkKreifels yes 450h+ but the new NX is based on current RAV4 XA50 so i dont think it was a smart move, because next gen rav4 is comming soon
Lexus is taking Mazda carbon turbo color 😂 Zircon Sand
