I have an 2015 5.0 Genesis. Unfortunately this is a design flaw in these models. The turn signal is working double time because of the DRL feature. You have to turn the DRL feature. I don’t care which bulb you choose to use. Whether LED or incandescent. It will burn out prematurely
Had my driver socket go bad and had to get it replaced. Now I just drive it in parking light mode during the day and don't use the DRLs. Problem solved. I might look into doing a mod making the LED strip the DRL. You need to do 1 of 3 things to get around this problem: 1. Drive during the day with the lights in DRL OFF 2. Drive during the day with the parking lights on or with the headlights on. 3. Modify it so the LED strip is the DRL, or replace the bulbs with LEDs. The last option is the only one where you can retain the automatic function of the lights. If you don't do one of the three things, you will be constantly burning through bulbs and sockets. I know you don't have this car anymore but I hope this will help anyone who has this car who is frustrated by the front turn signals.
@@seandevice238 you need to add a resistor or get "canbus" bulbs (which is the marketing term for saying it already has the resistor built in and is "canbus compatible").
That's my go-to solution, however the car didn't like it. Even with "low" power canbus/built in resistor LEDs (low meaning not trying to be stupid bright, comparable to incandescent), I now have to replace the bulb sockets. They got hot or something, visibly discolored. Went back to 1157's (that's what my local store had in stock) and am having issues still, more than before actually. Now the contacts are constantly flaking out and not making a good connection to the bulb. They meter out fine, and bending the contacts out to make a firmer connection to the bulb worked for a few weeks. TLDR: probably not worth it in this car.

Yeah for sure. This was one of the most hated things about this vehicle. Other than that I loved the car when I had it.
any update on this? has it helped? i'm still dealing with this as well.. actually got the car lemon law'd because of it
Hey bro why dont u use leds gor ur front turn signals??
I tried once, however it didn’t work well sadly. I will try it again.
@KLEANTRIX yea bro make a vid on it cause im bout to do a full led swap on my 2018 toyota rav4
I tried LED. The car thinks blinker light is out because it draws much lower wattage.
@@seandevice238 bro some cars need a canbus to regulate it RUclips it

Need a detail on that engine bay
How to acesse the reverse bulb ¿
Just bought this car! so stoked
Congratulations on your new car bro!
Ive been using aliexpress canbus 1157 leds for more than 5 years and it still works fine
Question: were you able to install the turning signals alone or did you need to install some additional equipment?
Why not put LEDs instead?
Sadly, LEDs do not work well on it, I have tried, however, I will do more research into it.
