Ah, the notorious turn signal. Common and known problem on the 15 US models. My driver one burnt out 3 months after I got the car in 2021. Then my passenger one burnt out about a month ago and I just replaced it. My driver one went out again and the socket is bad, and I'm actually about to head to the dealership for a new one. This is a terrible design. From now own, I'm just going to drive during the day with the parking lights on (it's one click up from auto). And then at night, I can click the switch one up to the headlights or one down to auto if I want to use the auto high beams. Problem solved. One guy on the forums said he's been doing this for 6 years and 113k and hasn't had to change 1 bulb. (P.S. apparently for some reason it's illegal in California to drive with only your parking lights on during the day. So if your in Cali to be on the safe side you might want to just put it in the DRL off position. The goal is to not have those amber turn signals act as the DRLs.) Also, the parking lights look so much better even though they're dimmer. You need to do 1 of 3 things to get around this problem: 1. Drive during the day with the lights in DRL OFF 2. Drive during the day with the parking lights on (what I do for now) or with the headlights on. 3. Modify it so the LED strip is the DRL, or replace the bulbs with LEDs. The last option is the only one where you can retain the automatic function of the lights. If you don't do one of the three things, you will be constantly burning through bulbs and sockets. Also, you don't want to be touching halogen bulbs with your fingers the oil is bad for them so use a towel or gloves. Edit: The socket was $80, and the dealership charged me an arm and a leg for labor.

Thanks for the tutorial. Is the other side tutorial coming soon?
