These new fendts are a country mile ahead of everything else,Had one for a few days on demo ploughing onland with a 6 furrow out at 18 inches in poor conditions and its performance was outstanding.
I'd go with a 6R 250 as that has the same amount of hp (at the crank with boost and that) of 301-303 and the "old" 724 had only 195HP at the PTO while a 6250R has 260hp (193.7kw) at the pto. But an 60K gearbox would be nice and an intergrated tirepressure system is also a plus, although alot of tyrepressure systems use isobus for the controlls so there's not alot of diffrence with that.
Looks a amazing bit of kit but price wise could most farms justify that ???? Especially like you said you could have two masseys for that price. I do like the John Deere , what’s that price wise ?
Olly, I think you should do a video explaining the cost of ownership between all the brands. Cheapest can cost you in the long run. But I’m finding JD to be more than Fendts now but the gap after them two to the next is huge and you have to question what else can you do with that capital now.
Having got a contractor neighbour who has a 724, 828 and a 1050, there is basically no difference in size between the 724 and the 828 so I don’t see how the 728 fits in? Don’t get me wrong they look amazing but I’d rather have a 828 than a 728
Whats the UK price for a similar JD 6r250 and the JD 7r270 which is the best comparison to the 728 but easier to run i e less tech but a heavier machine for cultivation 🤩🙋♂️
Only the rich farmers can afford such tractors. In my country people use Belarus tractors and they’re the most reliable and indestructible soviet tractors🚜
6R 250 over the 728 all day long!! I've not drove a 728 but have drove Fendts and much prefer the Deeres. The Fendts seam to 'mess about' trying to decide what they are going to do with engine revs etc, the Deeres just get on with it and IVT is a much better transmission than vario. Plus Fendt just seam to be plauged with the same issues model after model, mostly ad-blue, clutch solonoids and sensors. It's not uncommon for a Gen 7 Fendt to brake down at 40-50 hrs, like seriously for that price tag and ego, I do like Fendt but they need to focus on their issues and stop trying to brag thinking they're the best, they haven't been the best for quite a few years now, they should trace back their roots..
The used market in construction stuff has exploded, because a lot of guys are realizing the computer/emissions stuff is a nightmare. If you have a machine sitting for weeks on a job, waiting for one of the fancy black box components to come... you're screwed.
Astronomical fuel saving on the Fendt ? Some solid figures please ? Profi or preferably Nebraska Tractor Test. Of course you are quoting the list price. 20% off and you are at 200k. Bet over time you would get more than 20% ex demo, odd spec, cancelled order. Why not put a MAN in the Fendt, that would make it more unique than having a Valtra engine. But it is 100cc more capacity than in the MF version. 6R 250 please.
Great videos by the way, thank you! So More comparison of different tractors, very useful even for us in Scandinavia 🙋♂️
Hi olly, great vid, personally i love the fendt, but i think that 2 masseys would be better to have on a farm than 1 fendt.
John Deere 6r 250

Fendt tractors across the board have raised prices to extraordinary levels. I’ve talked to a few former Fendt owners who have gone back to Deere.
Just for marketing reasons to beat other brands at particular models such as New Holland T7.270 , Valtra T254, jd 6250r
Genial - Nos vemos en el campo
My 2021 John Deere 6175r was £199,500 with the spec it has..Inc a Loader...🚜
A fendt 718 Top Spec profi plus it 175,000

When I win the lottery I will buy the Fendt 😂😂😂the JD is more expensive
Join deer will have a competitive tractor as soon as they can get a fent to copy as they normally do
So did you order 2 or 3 in the end.
Deere 6R 250 for me personally I've driven fendts and I just prefer the deere.
A day furrow pressing over ploughing should loosen up those screens.
good talk, I think should say the price on the 6R250 top espec just for comparison.
From what I’ve heard the 6R250 is north of £200k now
Fendt for sure. Miles ahead of the rest. Will be purchasing a 724 Gen 7 at some stage
I think a lot of people are really interested in the 728 and most of them will end up in the new Valtra Q305

I love massey ferguson
New Holland T7 300 HD for me 👍
They are actually cheaper then John Deere so fendt all day long
Un nouveau tracteur c'est bien 👍🚜😊

I got the same tractor on framing simulator 22
Basically they've reinvented the original 926 ! But at 3 times the price !
Only the rich farmers can afford such tractors. In my country people use Belarus tractors and they’re the most reliable and indestructible soviet tractors🚜
John deere 6R 250
Let’s get the likes to 728 like the tractor 😂
How much for a 6r 250
It’s a really close call, but purely cos I’m a fan boy, I’d have the JD. 🤣👍
Imy favourite two brands are case ih n fendt
it's a tractor for the America's Olly
Abit late to the news Olly.
I prefer Massey Ferguson 8s

John Deere need to make a new Tractor to complete against the Fendt
That would be cool 🤙
It is 4000000 sek in sweden now. 300000 pounds
What the hell!? Well, I think Im going to drive my old 615lsa for a looong time.
The used market in construction stuff has exploded, because a lot of guys are realizing the computer/emissions stuff is a nightmare. If you have a machine sitting for weeks on a job, waiting for one of the fancy black box components to come... you're screwed.
It is better to buy a fendt 828 vario or 930 vario, they are much better and reliable models
there the same engine and gearbox just weigh more
The 728 is supposed to replace the 828 as the 828 is nortorious for blowing up its over boosted 724 engine and tearing its gearbox to shreds....
@@nsh533 it’s actually not. Both around 9.5T
John Deere any day
Regular 700 series fendt can’t pull the skin off a gravy boat, traction is there issue, more power will only make it worse 🤷🏽♂️👎🏼

Just buy a Deutz-Fahr
A 728 is 300hp 😂😂 they have replaced the 800 series
The 728 is rated at 283hp 828 is 287hp
@Olly’s Farm 303 hp when the power boost kicks in ,no power boost on a 828
@@OllysFarmLtd 283Hp when its idling in the yard not when its in the paddock pulling a 10M air seeder
Fendt 728
The tractor they go by the horsepower of they all the same price
Nope massy or Valtra
MAN makes the best motor. I got more hp in my Passat tdi than this fendt 728 lol
Fendt 1050 has the MAN engine, proper weapon 🤙
is this a sponsored John Deere channel ....
Fendt is just tractor snobbery an there over rated
Id have the John Deere or MF over a overpriced Fendt :)
