I have a Fendt 514 at home and I really like it.
Fendt doesn't need a boost because the PTO comes straight out of the engine.
Our old Fendt 310 1994 is 24 years old and it still suns pretty wel but the brakes are a litte bit of a problem.
I’m guessing your Fender has 540,540e,1000 and maybe 1000e rpm on the PTO and it shuts off ? That means it isn’t directly driven to the pro but directly to the PTO gearbox and clutch and then your PTO is driven

I've a massey 188,never had anything done mechanically and running like its new

I put on more than 8800 hours with a Fendt 724 hooked up to a TMR mixer feeding cows. My favorite tractor of all time.
Fendts are some beautiful tractors, they seem to run really smooth.
Fendt tractors are high quality but the price is high as well😁👍
John Deere is not much cheaper! And Fendt doesn't need much Fuel!
@@felixnoth7560 Thats because Fendt is the brand who invent things. Things wich are later a standerd in agricultural. Like the multi-function handle. You can map how you would like. And yes John Deere has it aswell. But 3 years later. And not even on a 250 horse tractor. Fendt is just a tractor wich is as standard better as the most tractors with all the options. And they use real horse power, REAL POWER.

I have a fendt312 vario and it is a very good tractor, we also have an old fendt 309 Lsa which is nearly 40 years old and still runs well and sound great
Fendt 724 and JD 6250R are my best tractors, great episode Olly, keep going like this!!

We have one but sometimes the pulling power on the seed drill isn’t great but excellent suspension and great for roadwork
I've driven pretty much every brand I will always go for the Fendt they are absolutely fantastic to work with and super comfortable (especially the 900 & 1000 series) ... you simply get what you pay for top quality
fendt are a perfect example of the brilliant german engineering full of features and very optimised for easy controll and its technolgy in the computer controll functionality they have had built in computers for a pretty long time and i have driven a 724 like a tiny bit but im used to their older tractors to be accurate i have a driven a fendt 415 vario tms and its technology is kinda infront of its time
fendt is a very good tractor. we have a 1986 fendt 310 Lsa and we never have any problems with it. no other brand of tractor comes to us. and fendt is also a tractor that can run most hours

James Allen fendts are a bit complicated Masseys are fucking shit cos they're so cheap and plasticy whereas jd is one of the best out there worth the money

I'm driving an old fendt favorit 824 turboshift with nearly 22 000 hrs in the unit
I had just ohne Major breakdown, the hydraulik Pump broke Down ( no steering ......) was Quite expensive except of that a Perry gopd reliable unit which i prefer over our newer Massey units
Maybe You can get your hands in an older favorit series model to See the differences👍
Fend is the king I own 4 JD but they can’t be like fendt

Sat in all the tractors at the Royal Welsh to compare comfort and I’d say Fendt was the most comfortable, JCB fastrac was comfy too
We have a Fendt 415 and a new Holland ts100a but i realtime like the fendt the most because it runs so smoothly with the driving and the new Holland hops over when you clutch. The steering is also better on the Fendt so you hear me I am a Fendt fanboy lol
Niels de Klerk Get the clutch calibrated on the TSA, you can do it yourself or take it to a dealer, makes a world of difference

Hi olly big fan also my dad is an agricultural mechanic and he fixes tractors and machinery which include fendts , masseys , Kuhn machinery and what not.
Fendt is best tractor. Quality, comfort, tehnology. Only problem is vario. You never know when will broke down
Great video! Love my 724, its a dream when set up for cultivation or drilling. Not sure I would want to lead grain with it though.

We have a fendt 724 on my farm and she is fairly smooth to run for a 240 hp tractor
My fendt 820 (year 2010) just reached 8000 hours without a problem :-) My next fendt will be at 724 - S5 ;-)

maybe demo a 516, pretty small 160hp basically a 716 but smaller and less expensive 🚜
516 is a 4cl but produces great power, the 700 series run a 6cl with the same power and greater torque. I’d go a 718 as it has good power and great efficiency
@@thehoulahan4421 We had a 516 as a replacement while the engine of our 415 was getting repaired and in our opinion the 516 is worse than our 415 which is the basically the predecessor since it also has 4 cylinders
I would probly have a fendt tractor becose it has meny good things and it holds it value and its realy smooth.
I from Germany Bavaria i love Fendt's (i think my profile picture says all) i live near the main factory were the Fendt's are produced. So i think i have to love the Fendt's. :) I only hear good things about them but every tractor breaks down sometimes.

I rather have a fendt any day they are expensive yes but they are a beautiful machines, my uncle owns 6 fendts and he’s never had any problems.

Fendt are good and everything but you can get a john deere 7810 for less than 30.000 whith 180 hp under the hood

Got an 22 year old Fendt 824 turboshift and a 4 year old John Deere 6250 R which dont differ a Lot in equipment ( except of satnav which just the john deere has)
We had trelleborgs on our 936's - i have nothing good to say about them
I Recommend looking at the John Deere 6250r the new version coming out of Germany you with learn that all the systems in the Fendt are in the 6250r it would actually surprise you as they are already come with auto steer and it does boost its power when needed from 250 to 270hp

I have driven a Fendt and yeah it was quiet and fast but I didn't like the wallowy ride ( a bit like driving a boat down the road) and there were too many options to do the same job via different functions such as shift lever over ridding by joy stick which has two direction function. But, I admit I am old school and prefer the old Ford, Massey Ferguson and Case IH. The price tag is too huge for Fendt so I would go for John Deere if I was buying a new tractor.
What number you drive? Mechanical or pneumatic cab suspension or 3 point pneumatic suspension? Driver seat evolution or not?

The front tires on the 724 are almost the exact size on my back wheels of my volvo bm 650 haha. and they are 18-4.34 lol
had a 720 since 2016 and two 800 since 2006 used to have a 612lsa from 1988 fendt are tractors that last on maintenance only hardly any issues 1 electric relay on the 815 faulty from factory little electric issues un the 612 in its youth i was a bit sceptical about the 815/818 since electronic happened but they have 13 years and are as good as new and i mean as good as new.
the s4 series are a bliss in comparison you need to use your head to use the tractor properly(just like any well equipped tractor) but working with the 720 is like spending a full day working the fields then stepping down from the tractor about as tired as if you just had a 1 hour session, the cab is quiet the 3 points suspension is so much worth it.
you will tell me jd are just as good... NO fendt tractors a filled with details that make its use easier just take a look at the rear linkage jd's one is unchanged for decades.... you can set and put away the fendt linkage at mudguard height in minutes without tools and you're never bending a pto shaft again... most of the tractor is optimised for ease of use that way.
i'm not agreeing on the cab part the cab's plastics that you don't usually touch especially pillars covers are made of cheapy plastic and this is good that way i don't want a rollsroyce interior the earlier cabs where good imo (a/c a little weak being the only real issue these where also louder compared to a S4 cab) you pay for a reliable workhorse that help the driver last through his long day at work in the bumps heat and noise not for a fancy interior...
I know this has nothing to do with real life farming but that Fendt 724 vario is in Farming Simulator 19.
the fendt 724 is very nice machine on are farm we have a 313
The power systeme on the massey are the same : for exemple a 7716 has 160 horsepower + boost ( 25 horsepower)
Some time you should do a review of the valtra s series smart touch we have a s374 and I am in love with it😍😉👌🏻💪

My dads boss has a 718 and his brother smashed the windscreen with the drawbar in the cab and he broke too hard. Costed them a fortune.

i would love a 200 series with the vineyard kit. as good as our old Massey Ferguson 35 use to work she finally kicked the bucket we believe she dropped a valve and the old man got a second hand David Brown 780 Selectamatic to replace it as good as it is these old tractors are horrible at turning in the soft Australian dirt with a 2 tonne trailer on the back. a tractor with 4x4 or FWA would be much better.
My uncle has a fent 720 which is 200 horsepower and it’s top spec

You should look at a Fendt 516 it is a bit cheaper than the 724

John Deere is my brand on our farm and is my favourite brand but fendts are good but I tested he 724 as well but there is to many buttons and very complicated front and rear hitch controller
