- Following on from the last video this is a run through of the Fendt 724 before it goes back off of demonstration.the question is do i prefer the Fendt or the Fastrac???
I was told, braking with the stick is no good for the Vario-transmission... But maybe nowadays it's no issue.. Although nice video George!
I would say thats off road Tyre noise at speed, i just removed the slicks from my mountain bike and put my nobbly winter tyres back on and strait away once you hit 20mph the racket it now makes just like tractor tyres or landrovers etc.
very impressed with that braking set up ,quality tractor.
Great video George! Good camera angle too, I realy like these cab drive video's but I sometimes end up motion-sick when the camera is mounted on the head, so this was a great solution, enjoying the ride without getting motion sick :D
Most fendt drivers don't use the engine break often or not at all. When we have to break you can also only just pull the vario stick backwards repeadetly(for example with pushing the break in or keep it backwards. you can also accelerate just only using the joystick: 1. Hold it forwards 2. Push it forwards repeatedly 3. Push it forwards once and than push him to the right (make sure you got the cruise control for the road selected) to enable cruise control.
i have a 2016 fendt 720 s4 and love it to bits very smooth comfortable agile tractor !
Interesting video as ever George. The only thing I don't like about the Fendt (or other modern tractors) they make the wallet squeal when they go wrong (grin).
I drive a fastrac 7230 it drive like a dream and sounds so beautiful when pulling a simba solo
Surely just pulling back on the stick is sending the revvs through the roof and straining the transmission. It’s seems relatable to slowing down a car by changing down the gears with no braking, the revvs would be a extremely high
Great video George it's a nice tractor
Use the break!!! You defenetly kill the transmission by using the stick to break! Didn't you realise the noise when you put it back??
But great video!!
Jojoooo1996 ur right kill vt doing that
At a Fendt divers day at a Fendt dealers what George did was right Fendt tell you exhaust brake then pull back on the stick then apply foot brake if needed to come to a stop
That's how exhaust brakes work they need revs to slow down
Exhaust break helps but doesn't stop a full load that you have.Do you really think its cheaper to brake a 15 ton load without your trailer brakes? You gotta see it for yourself i guess. So many broken Vario Transmissions out there.
It has happened far too much that people indeed pull back on the stick and kill the transmission. I just look and laugh at those who drive like that and destroy transmissions these days.
that was very intresting , great vid as always
The fendt is nice to drive I have to say but I had a demo of a fastrac 4220 and 8330 and nothing will come close to the comfort of the fastrac
MASSEY ROB Those are created to be on the same comfort levels as trucks.. Independent suspension on both axels
Deutz-fahr TTV7250 would be nice to test with 60k transmission..
The booming you can hear at top speed is the lugs of the tyres on the road, out two 6r's both do it at top speed
Never use the vario to break it will make shit of the vario it’s not designed to stop that weight but nice video
We love you're vids, especially the endings when you say TA TA. lol
I recognise those roads as we live not very far from you. Tally ho chap.
Love the fendt but far too much bouncing around in the cab.If you only use the joystick to brake how do following traffic know your braking??.
All these comments about using brakes, no ! Not with fendts, that’s the idea you save the brakes ! Used to drive ours all day with tankers, trailers anything. Wouldn’t touch the foot break all day ! That’s how they’re supposed to be driven, obviously never let it over rev
I prefer fendts looks and the land work.
very nice cab ride! :)
Nice.
If you are braking on the stick, do the brake lights show on the back?
I don’t think so
Yes it does. But it won't activate any brakes, that can be very dangerous when the trailer pushes the back of the tractor sideways.
Good evening George! Long time no see! My question is completely off topic but what was the dairy unit layout like at Bedfordia farms all those years ago and in your opinion was it a good layout of buildings and would you have changed anything? Cheers George.
Jcb bro aka fast tract aka brilliant vid
Mate are you a farmer, a contractor, what do you do exactly?
Hi George loving the videos mate.. I got a couple of questions if you don't mind? 1: Why do the tractors have road foot pedals still for the power and brake if all I see is power & braking done with that control joystick? 2: nice New Holland cap, where can I get one it looks cool? Thanks. :)
Good video
Tyre noise matey, driven loadalls that have the same noise with similar tyre tread.
Very well stopping with no breaks until there’s a car behind and doesn’t no your stopping 😂😂
Brake lights do come on
Is it on Michelin tyres? They are are terrible for noise at 50k, Trelleborg are silent in comparison
Thanks for sharing George...
Very bouncy can you stiffen the seat up at all.
I agree that john Deere's are rougher and i operate 6150r and when i first got in to it i came across disappointment, not just comfort but the gearbox is no where as good as vario and cvx, just seem to see John Deere over rated, cant see what makes it so good but its my opinion others find it different
Hi George, great video. I would suggest the valtra t4 if you’re looking for a new tractor
James Kelsall 😷
Hi George what is your favourite tractor and is there a vid that you have done of the jd you talk about in this video
Apart from your ford mate
You are breaking the transmission the way you drive! It has brakes, so use them.
Why ? whats wrong ?
If you don't touch the foot brake then the braking lights won't go on, dangerous thing not to do!
Morning mate
Fastrac
Yeah I can hear that noise
Will Bellamy test 1 I pressed the wrong button by mistake as I posted later 2 he obviously driving on the stick.knob
Sorry Bellamy done it again my letters are very close together on my phone
Think my phone is playing up
ha ha , knob !!!
is she 50k
2:19 you shall not pass
Try a valtra t234 or a t254😉
Riku Toivanen I'd rather have a fendt.. after sitting in one of those valtras made me almost through up
Jami Laari for what reason? The one i drove was fairly comfy but fendt is propably way comfier
Valtra are sure expensive. Alot off plastics u get
the tractor of the year title doesn't mean it's good...
Valtra is a homemade tractor made in Finland.
Is the fendt u drove tracked?
No
Lol
Loubot5000 and Stanley gaming did you actually watch the video? If you have eyes you’d see that there are definitely wheels on the front.
Sounds like tire noise
6250r
Sorry 936 slip of the finger
Is that a breeding farm?
Yes it is. They breed them to be put in fat units then get sold to slaughter house. I worked there for about 4 years.
Rc slimjim for sow, are them green sheds the farrowing sheds?
Eagles7618 Video production & photography yes they are.
Problem with driving like that is the people behind you don’t know your breaking.
Stephen Chaplin pretty sure the break lights come on when you pull stick back.
Daniel Smith good if it does because on our Bateman sprayer it doesn’t because my wife followed me once and she told me the break lights didn’t work.
Deffo sticks the lights on on my 720
Yep brake lights do come on
Brake lights on my 724 come on even when you let your foot off the pedal
Your spoilt George !
Where you from george
Jacob Jackson bedford
Thanks
John Deere suck I don't see why so many ppl fascinate over them they do the job but cab quality low and styling just ugly I do like that fendt George good video nicer to watch something different then the deere hopefully they give you something better soon
Mistajam must not bin in many deeres. 1 of most well built cabs in market
Mistajam honestly I think the JDs look better than most other tractors like valtras or the new optum and maxxum cases. And there jd cabs are rather comfy and are a nice place to be. (Judging from a couple hours sat in the buddy seat) only downside to the cab I found was that the seat isn’t the best and you rock side to side and up and down a lot.
JD has one of the best marketing departments in the world, the tractors are no better than anything else.
Ive driven a 937for 7 years now and if it was my money I wouldn't even think about a fendt unreliable, and gutless only good thing was the ride PS this bloke wants to learn to drive the fucking thing properly and your not to drive on the stick on the road
I smell bullshit. 1 He's not driving on the stick. 2 there is no such thing as a 937 fendt
