The video of both European airspace as well as our premier public showing of the brand new BeyondATC 2.0. We rebuilt the entire program from the ground up to support our exciting new feature - directly controlling all AI aircraft. BeyondATC will now act as the controller, injector and pilot for all aircraft in the sim in this exciting new chapter in BATC's development. This video shows the efforts of our rebuild as we take Easy 259 from Heathrow to Schiphol airport.

The display boxes are absolutely magnificent. No more scrolling through walls of text. For us newbies, a great way to identify what is important in the read back. Thanks for the implementation!
This will make me actually play MSFS. I want MSFS to be as real as possible when I play, and I dont feel comfortable talking to real people on Vatsim.

Also great and so realistic to hear British English accents when flying above the UK and Dutch English accents when flying above the Netherlands. Very well done.

The only thing this program needs is more realistic VHF distortion, more radio-sounding voices and quicker talking voices that replicate the urgency of ATC. Right now it sounds like the controller's in the cockpit with you.
this must be an option then, I like it the way it is right now, and I'm sure a lot of non english speakers will appreciate the clarity

Speech speed slider would be awesome, like a difficulty level from 80% of current for total beginners, to 200% rap gods.
Yeah, the Schiphol voices seemed properly efficient, but the rest sounded that way only when I set the playback speed to 125%.
You guys are amazing, this is a first in the flight sim genre. Oh, Captain, never apologise for striving for excellence! I'm sure 99.9% of us simmers are more than happy to know you are building this fantastic program, and it will be ready "when it's ready"!!
Of course it will be ready "when it's ready", and when it is, I will definitely buy it. I just really hope it will once be ready.
This is so good. Amazing interaction and read back ability. This will also train people to give them confidence for Vatsim flights. Cannot wait for this.
Screw Vatsim (just kidding). 🙂 This product will give people confidence for real-world flights. I flew years ago and I think I was more afraid of the radio than the airplane. I also cannot wait for this.

I'm so pleased to see this flight with BeyondAtc to EHAM, as a Dutch simpilot I was really curious to see how it would handle vectoring as well as the AI voicing with the Dutch accents. I laughed so hard with the cleared to 'land'. You guys are doing a wonderful job and it's already mind blowing to see what this project is becoming. Can't wait to get my hands on this. Meanwhile take all the time you guys need to develop the project you envisioned.

Just a small thing...don't forget us, VFR/GA pilots.. there are already software and atc solutions for IFR/ airliners.. but most of the real life pilots using simulation are GA .. we need the ability to practice our cross countries with a tool like yours (and not only touch and go or low pass)
He did already state they are actively working on GA in a previous video.
VFR/GA already exists. Out of respect for BATC i wont give the name here.
I love it, especially the British and Dutch accents. For me being European this adds substantially to the emergence. Keep going guys.
This could be huge. Not only for a proper offline immersion experience but it'll give people a training platform for future vatsim pilots! No one loses. Just fantastic!
That's why I'm excited for it. I always wanted to try VATSIM, but I'm absolutely terrified of freezing up or talking nonsense / wasting others' time because I have zero radio experience. Being able to practice this with AI ATC in an actual situation within the sim is going to help a lot with that.
@@monsterfurby I totally understand you. But please don't be afraid. just don't start at the busiest airports. You can state you are new in the flightplan and ATC will rather have a newbee than none at all. VATSIM also have some tutorials.
This is so great and I love how the local accents provide extra realism and immersion. It was hard to hear the fast dutch talkers 🙂 Keep up the great work !

Your recent progress raised a couple of questions:
- Do you plan BeyondATC to help pilots in abnormals and emergencies?
- How it will react on the PAN, PAN, PAN or Mayday?
- Will it ask pilots about souls on board, fuel remaining etc. in abnormals and emergencies?

Really cool!! A few points to look at in future:
L21 is Link 21, so it’s called Link in ATC correspondence.
At most UK airports, you’re expected to include aircraft type and sometimes stand number with clearance request. It’d be cool if it listened for that and asked you to state A/C type and stand number if you miss it.
Oh and an EZY from LHR?! 😢😂
IIRC they intend to offer community customisation so these things can be defined by region.

Just a couple of things i noticed. So when you request your departure clearance you should be saying what your aircraft type is and what stand you are on.
Also with your taxi request after you read it back the controller would come back to you and say your readback correct.

After flying in this sim and learning how to fly different aircraft in the last 3 years I honestly can't be more excited for the release of this. I get VATSIM etc. which I would to have the confidence for but for the average captain like me this is going to amazing and I can't wait. 22:58 Mind blown
Unbelievable great work you guys are developing out there. This tool will definitely be the top app every simmer will need. From beginner to advances simmer. Can't wait for it. By the way, I like the Dutch accent. Take your time to make it the number 1 tool!!
This is really cool, although there are a couple of mistakes with the ICAO phraseology, for example when taxiing at Heathrow, they don't call L21 'Lima 21', they refer to it as Link 21, and with the SID, they don't read it out, instead of BPK6J as that, it would be 'Brookmans Park 6 J', or LAM3A, it would be Lambourne 3A. It says what the full things are on the chart, and they're just names of places or VOR/DME/ADFs that the sid revolves around, but in real life, that's how it's pronounced over here. Another thing is asking for pushback clearance, when they grant it to you, they will also specify that you are cleared to start, typically by saying 'Cleared for Push and Start face blank'. Otherwise, this product looks really good and I can't wait to buy it!

Having that context and notes on what information you need in the interface is going to be great! So glad that is being implemented.

I HATE when developers build hype with promise after promise after promise to us, the end-users, just for us to discover, that the promises have either not been fulfilled, or are only "half baked".
But I really appreciate your honesty and openness, and seeing the product do precisely what it "says on the tin", makes me confident, that this will be the absolutely BIGGEST leap forward regarding simulated ATC, and as you may have already noticed : I really REALLY look forward to the time, when I can get my hands on this. 😉🥰

My only comment would be that to avoid misunderstandings controllers generally don’t use the word ‘to’ because it sounds exactly the same as the number two. For example they would just say ‘climb flight level three-two-zero’ rather than ‘climb TO flight level three-two-zero’. Other than that it looks superb and I’ll be buying as soon as it comes out, great work!
Wow this is really shaping up to be everything I've wanted in flightsim ATC, very exciting! It will take some getting used to the ATC not treating me like I'm special haha.
I'm a developer as well and I understand when you do not get to do the features you want and despite having built something out of it, if given the opportunity to do it once again with everything you wanted, I'd take it without hesitation.
Please take all the time you need to make it right but not too long yeah? You're killing us hahaha.

That's extremely promising altough not entirely accurate. Specially in UK the ATC clearance request that you state aircraft type on first contact (even ATIS says so). Not the same in the rest of Europe though. In Italy for example this is not requested. In some countries you must also spell the QNH on first contact (as reported by ATIS message). In some country you also have to report the gate stand you're parked on. Still, this is brilliant and I can't wait to have the program ready

The dutch voice effect was a bit off but still ok. Sometimes they pronounce words in actual dutch like 'raaadar'. This should be more in English pronunciation. But overall I can clearly hear the dutch accent in general. Very cool. Can't wait to hear the AI traffic on the radio!

This is the first demo of the product that I've seen and I'm incredibly impressed. I'm a Vatsim pilot so I've never really had any interest in any AI ATC add-ons, however the mention of activating this in the case of no Vatsim ATC coverage got my attention. Looking forward to the release and I think I'm sold!
Not sure if this has been suggested before or is already implemented but can we get a small percent chance of the AI misspeaking, like “ fly heading 220 correction 240.” I think it would be a nice touch.
It would definitely add a "human touch" to it.
As long as it sounds natural and not overdone. I can see it getting old quick if it's constantly messing up
For someone like myself who has not yet used any ATC, this is amazing! I'm still getting practice flying the Airbus and such. I will be buying this for sure!
Amazing content, I'm a commercial student pilot in Brazil and this would really help me improve the english phraseology to use throughout my carrer! As the software evolves I hope they speed up the chat and make the radio effects such as weak signals!
I can honestly say, since being a computer geek since the late 70's and flight sim fan since the original- and also a gamer- I've *never* been more excited for a release than this. I mean, take my bloody wallet NOW!

You are aware uncontrolled means no ATC right?
@@captnolan737 Yes, the uncontrolled airstrips should allow for unicom frequencies where you can hear simulated traffic from flight tracked GA planes.

Just learning about this, finally a followup to the great but dated Pilot2ATC. This is next level, sounds so natural and responsive, the radio sound effects are on point, and the fact that it's handling a traffic injection too is the full package. Cannot wait to give this a try

Amazing!!! I can't wait for get it!!! I want to suggest, There is an opportunity to integrate what you need to say in red, I mean read it meanwhile I'm pressing the PTT button for those beginners like me to learn purpose. Will be an outstanding feature for rookies that not know nothing about communication. It can help to learn and memorize the phraseology and then you can deactivate that and make the communications without read it. Thanks a lot for your time and dedication BEYONDATC!! 👍

This is amazing! 1st day buy for sure. One question. When you forgot to repeat the QNH, controller wording was „negative, QNH1019“. However negative would only have been used if you had readback a wrong QNH. If you forget to read it back wording would most likely be „confirm QNH 1019“. This goes for all forgotten parts of readbacks in Europe. Minor thing but would be nice if you could implement that. One more idea: How about giving the community or maybe the VATSIM sections access to the routing algorithm so that they can adapt most likely real world taxi routes and vectors and things like that to be most accurate for every single airport. Just an idea… thanks for your amazing work and the presentation. Already love it!

Not sure if you are on about FS2Crew or not? If not, please let me know as I am genuinely interested. FS2Crew is really good and I use this for the co-pilot dialogues, but it lacks a lot in the purser department. Only has a few announcements and only really works on a straight forward flight. Any go-arounds and stuff are not covered and you can't notify the crew of events etc... SLC is very close to what I would want with the purser announcements and dialogue between purser and pilot, but the voices are really unrealistic and the voice recognition is pretty rubbish. None of the above are AI either, so you have to say things exactly how they are expected. An AI program means you could change the order of your words, say things a little differently and it would still register. Plus imagine GSX but AI, so you don't have to bring that annoying menu up a million times and it interacts with ATC etc... BeyondATC has a really good chance of making some very cool AI tools that would all interact with each other and make you feel like you are on a real flight.@@chadvader974

It would be nice to have the interface integrated as an app on the EFB. Maybe in the distant future once all the foundational features are implemented.
Would like to see VFR into controlled airport with lots of traffic for us old GA pilots. Out of curiosity, how would VFR pattern work function at an uncontrolled airport? Will VFR AI aircraft make expected calls?

This is incredibly exciting! Im sure it’s been asked before but is VR supported? I love the fact the ATC instructions are shown in the ATC window because writing things down in VR is not an option! Sign me up!
Writing can be done but not easy, with OpenKneeboard in combination with a Wacom drawing tablet in VR
