Well I wasn't going sub when you mentioned you own a selfie stick, but this video was just too enlightening and your playing is phenomenal. Guess I gotta hit that notification bell.
If you have floor wedges for monitor, there’s likely an Aux in, there’s likely an Aux out or Thru. Take XLR and get a little cheap Peavy/Nehru get mixer and put the send from wedge into channel 1 and then take your left and right mains into you audio interface. Another way...
I am about to leave for church, and the second setup is EXACTLY what I plan on doing haha. Like, even the levels on the two interface channels! The only difference is that I'm using the headphone jack on my in-ear mixer since I dont want to be in trouble when my PC goes crazy or dies or whatever.
So helpful! thank you for taking the time to do this! My church's inauguration of our very own long awaited temple is this weekend and I want to finally take a shot at making clips!
John Hood Absolutely ! Come straight out of your personal mixer with a 1/4 inch cable to your irig and connect your irig to your phone & the audio on the live feed will be exactly what you heard but make sure everything is the way you want it live because you cant go back and re-mix the audio
What if I don’t have a dedicated IEM system, I use a behringer P1 pack that goes to our sound desk and all I have for a camera is my iphone… is there a way to split signal so that I can still use the P1 as my monitor and use it record my IEM mix to my phone in video mode? I do have an irig pro duo, don’t know if that helps but I’m not sure how to link it all that I send signal to my in ears and send signal to my iPhone
I have a Roland Go Mixer. Would it be the same? I come out of my PM16 with a “splitter” cable (1/4 to both a headphone extender and a 3.5 male) coming from the phones port. And connect the 3.5 jack to the Go Mixer which then goes to an iPhone. Hopefully I’m explaining it all correctly.
Can I do this with a Behringer P1? Out from headphone jack into a stereo splitter to an IRig2 and from there to the iPhone? Also is the sound quality using the irig2 the same as using for example a focusrite interface?
Studio One 4 gives you the option to import the phone recorded video into the project with the audio recording from the personal mixer. From there it's pretty much all about syncing both the audio and video together. If you don't have Studio One 4 then I would suggest using some type of video editing software, or you could download a free video editing app from your phone and do it from there.
We use iMovie, and record the sound separately with a zoom h2 and video with a canon 70d slr. You just need to start the recording with three claps so you can line up the sound file with the video sound.
So, I'm totally new to doing a personal mix. In my church, I can run an XLR back to the board, but I get all sorts of weird EQ problems because the sound booth is mixing for the audience. Mixing in the middle of an orchestra/band with a choir behind you requires a different mix. I don't have a way to get the house mix back to me today. Would you setup help in this situation?
Awesome man. When you are going out of your Aviom into your interface then laptop with studio one, what camera are you using? Your laptop camera I assume?
generally the mono line out is used to send the monitor mix to a powered monitor like a floor wedge, but if you're using headphones you wouldn't use it

This video is extremely helpful. I have been looking for a solution like the irig. Thank you!
One question, will the irig option work for Facebook Live?
John Hood Absolutely ! Come straight out of your personal mixer with a 1/4 inch cable to your irig and connect your irig to your phone & the audio on the live feed will be exactly what you heard but make sure everything is the way you want it live because you cant go back and re-mix the audio

Do yo have a video on how you record your bass for videos where you cover a song??

How do you record yourself playing over an mp3 while video recording and fuse the sound with the video into one.

Will ‘Facebook Live’ capture the mix going thru your IRig and back into your iPhone or IPad??
Yes bro u just plug it in and that's it almost to simple.

Which cable goes to the main mixer
I see you are using stereo & mono does it have to be in that order??
Tnks!!
What is the name of these equipments
How can you hear yourself and record at same time using irig
How do i connect the p16 to the mixer?
Awesome man. When you are going out of your Aviom into your interface then laptop with studio one, what camera are you using? Your laptop camera I assume?
Would you recommend a zoom or a hero 4K for that
Does it still work with irig 2 ?
