Can definitely tell and hear the difference bro!!! Also thank you for doing this. Recording myself is something that I’ve been wanting to do. So this video is a confidence booster and it simplifies this process. Keep it up bro🤙🏼
Nice video. I use Maudio air192/4 and i absolutely love it. I set it on a perforated panel tools with all my gig stuff so i can just play standing or on a chair and litteraly just easily use my arms to set volumes and see whats happening or pick something out of the panel. I also lenghtened all the inputs from a 1.50m so i could plug from my desk and no directly into the interface (that's a pain), no sound loss. its so intuitive, and i love the sound it gets as air is already included with the crystal preamp, and man... it's cheap !! Also have protools but i prefer ableton.
i and my kids really love music, we play the instruments , we Dance and we also Sing. we really love to set up our small home studio , we been able to get some equipments but our major problem now is an audio interface. and its expensive here in my country.. we can't wait to have an audio interface in our hands...
That's awesome. What country do you live in? A lot of times you can find ones used on like Facebook Marketplace or Ebay that would be cheaper. My first interface was used and it lasted me for a few years.
@@TravisDykes Please Am from Ghana , West African. Thanks for replying to Us, we appreciate your kindness , i been learning bass from your Bass tutorial video, thanks so much ❤❤
Great video Travis! Yes, I can hear the difference with the “air” button ON! I use the 2i2 when recording my bass guitar, but have a lot of noise/volume issues (I use GarageBand and don’t know how to use the plugins for noise reduction, compression, etc.). Could you please help me with some tips to reduce noise? (I have a constant buzzer and a need to crank the gain/volume knobs to get a recordable tone)…
Can you make a video about what to do as a beginner bass player in the studio trying to record bass(like talking how to good in the studio and not to overplay or to keep the groove, playing beside the drummer and staff like those).
Oh yeah! That's a great video idea. I'm definitely going to put that on my list. Basically, where I walk through how I approach recording a bass track?
I basically am wanting to start by doing some bass tutorial videos where I teach the bass part to cover tunes. Could I do that with Audio interface and Garage Band?
Hello Mr. Dykes . I hear some of the gospel bass players have that boomy or that sub bass -kind of sound, but the high freq when they're slap and pop is so sweet. Do you know how can i get that kind of sound? i usually see them with bassmod basses .
Between the 8i6 and the 2i2, there was a slight difference in volume, clarity and control using the focusrite control software. I couldn't really hear a huge difference as far as volume, but since its pushing 2 outputs it's most likely pushing higher volume.
Bro quick question can you use this interface for practicing purposes? I connect my bass and iems to it but I get no bass sound unless I open Logic Pro and use a bass preset there. Any suggestions or am I doing it wrong ?
Well, I just realized that my bass pedal has been discontinued so that's why the link isn't working. I had a few others asked the same question, so I'm on the hunt for a new pedal so all of you guys can purchase it as well. If you still want this pedal you can probably find it on Facebook Marketplace or Ebay. Sorry about that.
Can I run the interface to my computer and then out from the interface to my P A. and still listen to RUclips videos.and play along with the music? Or Does it Only work for recording with the interface
Yes. You can run it through your P. A. That's how I run mine currently. Your computer should use it as the output for any audio that you play from the computer, so if you have speakers hooked up to your interface it will come through.
One of my favorite channels

Ty! Thanks so much man. I appreciate the love.
omg, i just watched a love theory cover, and i didnt recognize you, like bro, u halved.
Good job!
Was listening with my car speakers. The air definitely makes a difference
Bro, I love how you explain everything. I'm a logic guy and I use the Focusrite 3rd generation. I just got it.
Love that man. How are you liking it?
Definitely can tell the difference with Air button on!!
Super informative T. Thanks for the info.

Air sounds more airy frl. nice feature
your new interface sounds so great when the air mode is turned ON
Thank you. The cheaper version of this interface the "Scarlett 2i2 3rd generation" also has the same air function as well.
@@TravisDykes ooh really thanks for enlighting me
Always great video!!!
Thanks man!
Great video bro!😃 i have the 2i2 2nd gen for like 5/6 years… really recommended!

Great video Travis, could you also post a video explaining video recording equipment as well?
Thank you! I will! I have to actually buy my own camera first. The one I currently use is the Canon M50, that I borrow from my church.

You can use Reaper for recording it's free 😉

lol I use FL Studio 20 for recording bass; moving to logic soon tho
Good video, but skip the Focusrite and go straight to UA. Waaay better converters and absolutely quiet.
could you please share amp setting on your daw to get that thicc sounds?
Great video Travis! Does the 8i6 have a louder headphone amp, being that it doesn't rely in bus power?

I'm playing the Rotosound Swing Bass Strings.
@@TravisDykes Thank you very much
More space with the Air on..
can you create jam tracks for the bass with a basic set up for practice.
I've asked this before. Is this pretty much how you record your bass play for the videos in general?
Yes. As simple as it is, this is how I record for my videos in general.
how do you record your self with focusrite 212
Sir Let me know your Mac model
what are you using for lighting i seen some soft boxes
I'm using 2 Neewer Soft Boxes for my lighting. Super inexpensive setup. You should be able to check them out in the description.
