So, Johnny Lee Long is a great player, teacher and tech. Good guy too. But the best thing about his channel is when me and my kid are watching his channel I am beyound confident that at no point will there be content that U dont want my kid (5 year old aon) to see or hear. That is something that is important to me and not all channels do I feel like that.
Here in Europe they have a reputation of being cheap but good , I’ve got a 50,s style precision for about 110 euros or so ,stuck a Lindey Fralin pickup in and it rocks
Johnny Long, the only man who can overdrive reality with their sheer presence. Never heard a tone curl back over the top of itself quite like that before and when you went squeeee I was at that same point - I was like LET GO THE KNOB RIGHT THERE and you did! Thanks for the content sir!
Johnny. I'm going to buy that. Harley Benton. And I might as well. send it to you for the same treatment ! I will let you know when I get it I'm waiting on a Tele style guitar from them now. I Love It. ! Soon Chaa Da. Kaaa Ka God Bless.
My son has just bought this bass. He's really excited to receive it. Could you possibly let me know what particular pickups you have put in and pre amp so we can upgrade his bass when it arrives? Maaan you can play bass 🔥🙏
Which EMGs did you use? Sounds nice. Just curious as to what you all use for that tone. I use 45DC in the bridge and 45CS in the neck along with a BQS pre-amp. All powered at 18 volts. Not a typical setup having active pickups and active pre-amp together, but sounds great anyways.
Why does it say in tone monster manual not to use active pickups? Emg was my first choice, but I thought it wouldn't work. Where can I get the wiring schematics? Also my bass is p/j 5 string, I'm using SBK-3A-DT SYSTEM, what emg set would you recommend?
Connect your self and play !!!! The sound is great blow jhonny! Blow! 😀👍 freindly tip search for the tracktors reavenge if you want great bassist shada kaka buddy ☕💪
@@LONGCASTLE777 I was referring to the Tone Monster preamps. I will order the Bass from Thoman.de because I am in Europe. And i want to install Emg's with a Tonemonster preamp. Also... what Emg's are in this one? Passive Hz?
@@LONGCASTLE777 hey Johnny! Sorry for asking twice, But please, can you tell me, if you remember, if the EMGs were passive or active? I know the bass got an active preamp, but what PUPs are in there?
I don't know if he's very responsive to questions lol. Maybe he's just busy. I'm curious as to which ones he used as well. I've got the 45cs and 45dc in my bass, asking with an active BQS pre-amp. All wired at 18volts. Tons of headroom. The hz pickups are most definitely passive pickups. All the others are active. Most basses today that say they are active, or active electronics, are usually just referring to the pre-amp. A lot of people get confused and think they have active pickups when in fact they only have a powered preamp.
Dude, you've taken an $250..0 bass into a Tone Monster. The Harley Bentons are great deals. All you have to do is make a few upgrades to become real players.
Johnny plays:
Me: Woooooo
Johnny: Woooooo
Me again: Woooooooo
The first few notes made my jaw drop! That is CRAZY TONE!!! That bass is giving Ken Smith a serious run for the money! MY GOODNESS!!!

¡Hola!🙂 ¿Cuál te parece mejor? ¿Squier Classic Vibe '70s Jazz Bass V o Harley Benton BZ-5000 II NT?
I have the 4 string version of this bass, which EMG pickups would fit mine. Thanx in advance, love your channel!

Do the EMGs fit without any extra routing?

Thomann's affordable house brand. Totally worth it.
Did you connect the emgs to the existing preamp or are they emg circuit s.
What tone monster did you use to replace the 18volt one? Did you go to straight active and no Passive? Thanks.
