Using flatwounds eliminates quite a bit of finger noise. The lack of finger noise gives his chordal playing a clear melllow sound. Hats off to the great James Jamerson.
Great job! You can see that you're a non-judgmental young man who loves all people and they see that. Keep your positive attitude and remember all we can do is stay in motion. It's interesting that he's playing flatwounds now
For quick stuff and "kinda soloing" its actually really good
Sounds tight and not overpowering zing
It’s a testament to his right hand articulation. Playing those chords and lines with that level of clarity is so sick
He said in this video that he has flats since 2005
Sometimes playing with speed is not as fun listening to like it use to be bc everyone does it now.
would love to check out your stuff
It’s amusing to see people in comments desperately looking for shortcuts: “low action! short scale! flatwounds!”
It’s obviously the double fretwrap that’s the secret.
What a great lesson ❤
