Hey man, great video. Have you had any problem with hardware or did you just repleace the electronic for your liking ? I'm seriously considering this bass and wonder about hardware quality.
Bridge is good, though kinda hard to set up.. tuners are crap but work.. as a matter of fact that's the next thing I'm going to replace on it is the tuners. I was getting a bad buzz,
Sorry accidentally hit send. The base sounded great except for that buzz which is on another video. I just decided to gut it and start over. My choice. Probably just could have just shield it and ground it and it probably would have worked. But I'm happy with the change I made. I didn't like push pull passive active volume switch.
how are you robbie, a question… I'm about to do an update on my bass, it's a Hohner 6 string bass!! the preamp I plan to use is tonemonster Skb3 !! will it sound good? it's a good option ? Thank you !!
Tone Monster preamps are good for the price...but, I'm not totally happy with it, also the Wilkerson pickups . It's just very bassy.. I have to take some out when I use it..
@@robcesp2 Your bass sounds really good! And that's exactly why I wanted to ask you! I had seen other options but they are quite expensive !! like Aguilar's obp 3, I think I can achieve a lot with the tonemonster!! Thank you very much for the help Rob!
Wow, Robbie, your bass sounds FANTASTIC!!! I have the BZ 7000 7 sting but I'm getting the six string version soon and I'm going to do the same mod you did - I've been looking for that tone for awhile and I LOVE my 7 string but need something a bit more manageable Thanks for posting this video!!. Can you tell me how you made the ramp between the pickups? Thanks again!!
Dremel type tool and some softer type wood from Hobby Lobby. They sell little planks.. measure use to dremel to cut. Elbow grease to hand sand a little curve. If I need to add height I glue some small strips, from Hobby Lobby, as a riser on each side and use dremel to sand those down to right size. Paint and clear matte coat, and double side tape, not to damage the bass. That's it.
El sonido es espectacular! Me gusta el sonido del slap 🙌🙌🙌
Sounds great!
Hi, nice work. I like to modd mine with bartolini pickup, did you have issues with your new pickups dimensions? Thanks
Sound very nice!
Sounds really good...
I got the same bass! My preamp is trash I was thinking about getting the tone monster but I made up my mind and get one

@@robcesp2 I get that man, I also hate push pull. Switches are so much better. Also thanks for the answer :D

If money is tight I would say go for it. You can hear what the bass sounds like in the videos if you like that then go for it.

@@robcesp2 looks great, and I'll bet it's a lot easier to pull great tone from the bass with the ramp! Thanks again for responding!
@@bbfsdu well the ramp does not affect the tone, but does help with the how hard you pluck..😉👍
dude--- seriously get a real head and cabinet. I might do what you did with my BZ6000
I have one at the practice room. This is just a quite little home set up. Lol!
