Somebody needs to make the Deploy a select-fire, flywheel, hopper-system Rival Blaster. Like the Nemesis. You show up to a Nerf war, everybody laughs and pities you, you turn them into Swiss cheese.

When I picked up my Deploy (back when they were new) I hadn't Nerfed for maybe a decade. But the "gimmick" behind the blaster sold me, my only regret is that I passed the all Alpha Troopers and Longshots on the shelf to pick up this thing.

You didn't mention the reason why Chaylo likes these so much: They're great parts hogs. All the springs in this thing are useful for things like catches, and the magwell can be used like the Raider magwell. Also, the tube used for the sight is IIRC the perfect size for an Elite dart, so you can use that for another mod. And then you have the shell, which you can use for integration projects.
That's probably because this video was filmed literally months before I had even met him.

I managed to mod mine with a brass breech and a powerful spring. It became so good that people at NERF wars I've attended asked if they could use it.

How to make an awesome deploy:
Step 1: Get a stryfe
Step 2: Take off the stock and carry handle
Step 3: Make the stock detachable and replace the stock top rail on stryfe with carry handle
Step 4: Loot the springs
Step 5: Get rid of the deploy
I'd keep the priming system for other hybrid mods. I'd also keep the clip and the red dot because why not.

I've drilled the AR in my deploy. I plan on doing crazier things sometime. I've also pulled out all the unneeded locks on the pump, trigger, and magazine well. I'm able to take it to Nerf wars now, it's buttery smooth, doesn't murder darts, and hits close enough to elite ranges. The "deploy" function is only driven by two large springs and the locking system for the "torch" mode is independently screwed/clipped/glued to the right side of the shell. I'd love to make a guide on imgur or something, as I have the Clear series Deploy.

So as a kid, most of my toy guns were fabricated from wood by my dad. A Deploy would have been gold. At 67, I love the mechanics of this blaster--it's fun to deploy. Now add an afterburner, and you have a big boy blaster.
This was the first blaster I ever bought. For the apartment and small house environments it was used in, it worked great! Even picked up the sling and spare clips for it. I have other blasters now, but when the kids want a nerf war in the house, I still grab it because it's small-kid friendly. If they made a new one with direct plunger power? I'd pick it up again no hesitation!
I've always loved the look of the Deploy, and its gimmick is genuinely fun in my opinion. So its technical issues and shortcomings making it so impractical and widely-hated just hurts to think about.
I think the best thing about the Deploy is that the box recommends that you buy the Flip Clip to use with it. I did. You see, the N-Strike Flip Clip was flimsy enough, but the Deploy manages to ruin it even more. Every time the blaster deploys while a Flip Clip is loaded, it drops off, even when using 2 six round clips. I like the Deploy (after all, why would I have two?), but you're probably better off with an Elite Alpha Trooper with a Recon tactical light mounted on it. Think about this: someone at Hasbro thought that a single, dim, red LED was a suitable torch. As for taking apart the Deploy, it's not as bad as it looks. You take off the stock first, then disassemble the 'torch' section. After that, you can take off the pump grip and the rest of the shell. If I ever get some EATs, I'll see if I can chuck the internals of those in there. The original might work if that fails.

I'd buy an elite Deploy, if it were released. Nerf would just have to:
Remove the foldability
Make it come with a 35 dart drum
Make it cost 15$
Not ship it with the deploy.

The funny thing is, I’ve owned several Deploy blasters since I got into the hobby about 7 years ago and I haven’t had a single problem with them. They perform about as well as any N-Strike blasters and really don’t jam any more than a Raider in my experience.

It's always been a terrible blaster, even when it was new. Is it fun? Definitely. But it's not a good blaster for competitive use.

they do have about 300 meter ranges they aren't sniper rifles but that doesn't mean they have 2 foot ranges so you need to stop using the sniper shotgun from Black ops or Battle Field and if you think a shotgun has 1-2 mile ranges please kindly get your head out of your @$$

I have one of these and I actually like the ergonomic of it. The grip is decently comfortable and so is the pump grip. I want to get someone to mod it to today's standards but I don't think anyone will

With the amount of screws and springs in the deploy you could just take everything that’s in it and use it to mod other blasters

My brother got a deploy for his birthday around when it came out. That was our first and last mag-fed traditional dart nerf blaster. Now I'm thinking about getting another one, maybe a stampede or rapidstrike.
I have better memories of the Barricade, and I can barely fire off one clip before the pain stops me. At least it didn't constantly jam and eat darts.
I liked that blaster. If I get it again, I'll mod it with a stronger spring, limiter removal and brass barreling (and perhaps some reinforcement, that's always good).

One good thing about the Deploy? The blaster is great for parts.
The stock looks nice on the Apollo, the magwell is perfect to add to blasters that need a replacement, and the pump handle can be salvaged to use on a Longshot with some light reinforcement.
I want the deploy to be good since it’s such a cool concept and I love the FMG

We're taking a BLAST to the past.
I need to get one of these, mod it with Longshot internals, make it fire short darts, give it a brass barrel, and turn everyone in a 10v10 war to Swiss cheese.
Even though this plasters absolutely terrible it still looks cool and think about how easy it would be to take it around in a bag for a Nerf war.

The only good thing to come out of my own Deploy is the plans for shoving a Rainbow Pump inside that ever smexy shell. Remove the swivel clip chamber, trigger, and pop-up stock and it could be a pretty nice little cosmetic shell for it. Maybe even re-utilize the front pump grip for the Rainbow Pump itself?

as a kid i thought all nerf guns shot the same range and i have never owned an elite blaster besides a rampage that broke on the first night i owned it, untill i bought a zombie strike crossbow and a elite three shot jolt thing, I THOUGHT THEY WERE THE BEST THINGS EVER. until i descovered all of these nerf youtube chanels.

It was sold for $20 USD when it came out in 2010. I have a clear one and trying to sell the bloody thing. You forgot to mention the spot in the pump that can hold a extra dart if needed.

Sticking a drain blaster singled for BoomCo darts in mine now cause screw it why not I like the shell and the stock still pops out which is pretty cool and I honestly didnt know what else to do with it.
Ya know what is really hilarious? To take this apart, put in the guts of a modified 180-motor 3s-LiPo RapidStrike in place of the original plunger system, replace the red LED with a blinding 1000 lumen white one, put it back together, and bring it to an HvZ game.
The look on people's faces before and after I rev it up still makes me laugh...
I want one not because it shoots terribly but because it has that cool folding ability and if your in the dark the lazer I guess would work well indoors at least enyway I think the deploy is cool
