    Thank you so much. Your video really helped me out. You went into details and I finally found someone who explains properly. By the way you should make more BMW videos.

    Just replaced my radiator on my 07 328 along with upper radiator hose everything went perfect. For some reason the lower radiator hose keeps popping off the radiator spilling my coolant while driving idk what to do to properly secure it. Any suggestions?

      The connector maybe didn’t click u. I would put some lube on seal and the radiator side both sides lube them up and make sure u can see if heat the connector click pop in

    I have same car same issue. Thanks to your video up replacing the hose myself. But I’m confused because I refilled radiator, and bled the screw to which no bobble was coming out straight out liquid made a pool of coolant on the ground then tightened the screw and fill up all the way up. Drove it and after a while it burst and popped that same hose, coolant everywhere, and of course overheating.

      Over heating could be issue with thermostat or fan not working. Usully once u bleed it it shouldn’t have been issue with bleeding check for fan operation

    • @051tlm
      @051tlm Год назад

      There is process to bleed this cars that you have to follow… vehicle need to be off, electric pump need to be working with vehicle off, you pump the accelerator 5 times, turn on the heater all the way up… you can look a tutorial online to accurately bleed this type of vehicles

      I have the same issue as this person, the fan is a issue for me as well. The BMW dealership told me many things ab after the diagnostic test. I can drive it but it overheats and cut off and it make a loud whistling noise as well. It idles up and smoke some. I was told the time chain ab to skip so do I need a new motor all together? I'm tired of putting money in this car.

    This helped out quite a bit. My upper radiator pipe busted when I got to my job this morning, it was dry rotted and I bought the car used. I still have coolant inside the reservoir, do I need to drain that before I take the pipe off? Even though most of it sprayed out when it busted.

    • @RBTheMechanic
      @RBTheMechanic  Год назад

      U can drain it or just let it come out form the pipe

    Hey bro so I took my car to the shop cause I was missing a connector to my cooling fan and it was over heating I’ve replaced my radiator and fixed the connector and my car continues to drop all my coolant and over heat what could it be mechanic tells me it’s some type of ecu and that it’s 2k

    • @RBTheMechanic
      @RBTheMechanic  2 года назад

      What u mean by dropping the coolant. U mean it pushes it out and smokes after it over heats?

    • @pradakevo
      @pradakevo 2 года назад +1

      My mechanic told me he I could take it but it’ll continue to Iver heat and drop coolant but I don’t really trust him because he fixed the connector and then it kept over heating and then he said it was the radiator he replaced that and then he said it was some type of computer idk

      @@RBTheMechanic cause before I took it to him when I bought it I replaced a upper radiator hose and there was no more leak but this was before I knew my cooling fan wasn’t working couple days after another hoes was leaking fixed that then I started noticing more and more leaks I just kept wasting coolant but I needed the car for school so I didn’t bother fixing it then eventually my car started smoking but I think it was because one of my hose bursted while driving but this was because this was the longest I’ve drove the car non stop usually it was just to school and back home and so I drove it back home with the hose barely connected and then took it to my mechanic later as I got there the same hose got loose again I thought this was all because of the pressure of the hot coolant since the cooling fan wasn’t working that’s what he told me as well but it’s been there ever since

    Bleeding coolant system in bmw 328ix

  • @Rhadoo89
    @Rhadoo89 3 месяца назад +1

    That's not the proper way to do it, because when you open the screw you lose coolant.
    On BMW, there is a bleeding procedure done by turning on the water pump with the engine being off.
    To trigger this procedure, you have to first put the key in, press the Start/Stop button without pressing the clutch, so that the engine does not turn on, then turn the heat (temperature) to max, ventilation on the 1st step, and the keep the acceleration pressed for 10 seconds.
    This will start the water pump and you can take off the expansion tank cap and you'll see how the coolant is being pumped in the tank, releasing any air that is left in the system.

    The E90 has a bleed procedure and what he’s doing isn’t it.

      @@RBTheMechanicI believe you stick the key in, turn the car to the ON position (not started), make sure it’s on the highest heat settings on the dials, fan on low speed. Then press the gas pedal for about 10 seconds, it activates the water pump. Takes about 12 minutes, some people attach it to a trickle charger while it’s doing the procedure.
      Check the overflow after make sure antifreeze is at the right level. Fill if necessary.
