They are very similar to other northern breeds like huskies, malamutes etc I got the husky first and fell in love, then decided he needed friends and came across a couple wolfdog pups. This 3 are their own little pack. My life truly does revolve around them. They come first.
The biggest issue is do they get along with other pets sadly from my experience they don’t so ether u separate them keep the others safe or they get raised together from a very early age because the other pet might get killed as they have a high pray drive mine r like so be aware 🛑
Well i have done research on wolfdogs and read nicole wildes books but read books after i already had my 5th one. My first wolfdog in 2000 was low content she was perfect mom was wolfdog father pure husky. Had her trained for two weeks. She had full run of house unsupervised after 8 months no destruction no potty messes she would sleep on recliner i bought her while i was at work. She was very friendly and loved people. My neighbors daughter gave me her husky 2 1/2 years old seven years later. My wolfdog taught her how to be in house unsupervised and no destruction or potty messes either. My second wolfdog didn't like everyone she knew the people that were creepy walking by and would bark. She didn't chew anything. I boarded both at a kennel with know issues at the guy who trained my first one. Is employee had a wolfdog there too. My 3rd one i have is my oldest now. I had her trained by another guy. He was impressed with how she got along with everyone and every dog. Both her parents were wolfdogs. She is 23 percent. She is destructive especially if your talking to someone or paying attention to other dogs. She wants all the attention. They say you cant have on a cable but she wants to be so when people without or without dogs go by they can pet her which they do all my neighbors kids love her. But since she is getting old she isn't bad in the house. I had one that was scared of everything poor girl my one dog helped her tremendously. My middle one now is 41 percent she isn't mean very smart i trained her easily. She takes a bit to warm up to people. I have had 5 orthopedic surgeries last year so both had to be in the kennel a lot. My oldest one loves it wants the staff to play with her the whole day. She will put her paws thru the fence and try and pull them in. She us their favorite. My 41 percent finally had to go and my other one showed her the ropes. She would try and protect the older one from the staff second time she was there. First time shy. But after a bit she warmed up to the staff. Got one last year three is my limit her mom malamute father wolfdog she is 26 percent. She is super friendly also she goes right up to people. I only own females and have been told females fight knock on wood all mine thru out the years have been great together. I make sure i go with good breeders that socialize them and dont over breed and treat them right. But it seemed everyone i got was from a last litter but my last one. All mine are spayed but last one think i might have a litter from her. My middle one on group text with her siblings all if them are great her sister owner has a boat and she goes out. He worked from home for year now he takes her to his office everyone loves her too. Found a meat market here that has bison elk deer and lamb for people and normal meat they are high quality i buy a bunch of meat for mine. Bison hotdogs for training elk roasts they are expensive so i bought a lot of the ground meat of all of them. Plus ok lamb shank bones. They are spoiled. So not all are hard to handle. But feel sad for the ones who are from bad breeders or that people who dont know how to raise them then they end up in sanctuary or in pound and put down so sad. Some of my prior neighbors were ignorant bout them. One of my older ones sibling from a prior litter was walking with him and a pitt bull attacked her hand and was going for more her wolfdog killed pitt instantly so they do protect you if they love you. Mine has protected me and my other wolfdog.
@@inthewoods5494 what not enough i had a Samoyed as first dog and a husky with my first two wolfdogs i dont understand what you mean not enough all my wolfdogs are terrific and do not give me any issues.
@@inthewoods5494 oh yes i do got my first one in sept of 2000. If there was a way to put pic on these comments i would but there is not. @@inthewoods5494 yes i got my last three embarked lakita is 23 percent Montana is 41 percent and Indiana is 26 percent i put that in my original text .i never got my prior ones embarked cause didn't know it was available. Yes i got them all from reputable breeders all in ohio where i lived. Got to see all the wolfdog parents and available pups stayed at breeders long time to pick the one i wanted. Im gonna breed my last one next year or year after all my other ones were and are spayed. I wont get any other breed. But want to have a litter or two and keep one of the pups. Lakitas father they had to put down at 8 so im hoping i have her longer than 8 mine live to be 13 to 14 years old.
Not the first, and not the only, checc out H & K, the guy has a super nice wolfdog and a husker, and A CAT living together. ruclips.net/channel/UCgql0in1B4x6mhVsksM0b5w
Ma had a wolfshephard that loved me....till I started walking. Trig was my best friend and I wish I was able to walk when I was with him cause I was "abusive" stepping on his.....you know and (guys will understand). But we were thick as thieves together till he passed away when I was 2
I will stick to my regular dogs. My wife can get one when she's retired and can spend all goddamn day with it like my crippled ass has to with our pittie. In fact, when we get a house with a yard, I'm getting him a sister who can run his ass out. This video showed me that her getting a wolfdog while she works would be akin to Chip's first month times 1000 (and I almost rehomed him at points because I suffer chronic pain and god damn he wanted walks soooo much that first month.) Now I'm more prepared, weigh less, and we'll have a house with a yard.
This is so true! ❤💕
Be prepared before you get yourself a wolf dog! 🐺
Living with wilfdogs makes life so much more fun 👍🏻🐺

I love your videos! Beautiful animals! I am a new subscriber and look forward to watching more. 🙂
So true.
Big babies? Sounds perfect! Actually, they're not legal here in India so planning to get a Northern Inuit or an Agouti Husky
A lot of great points shared with Huskies too 😉
They also are noisy they howl Kali would howl if I left untill she heard me howl back.

I’m a hunter, so food isn’t really a huge problem heh. If anyone knows, would they be able to track wild animal scents? Or be trained to?
Get a vizla or a German shepherd if ur going hunting. Wolfdogs are notorious for being hard to train.
