BEST UDON NOODLES! Udon Noodle Tour of Tokyo Japan!

- I've done a lot of videos on different types of ramen, but I haven't paid much attention to the cousin of the ramen, Udon.
The first place, Shin Udon, has incredibly fresh and chewy noodles, and if you get the cold udon, the dipping sauce has a great umami flavor to it. The tempura here is amazing as well, very tender, crunchy, and juicy.
For the second place, I defiantly recommend Godaime Hanayama Udon. The Oni-Himokawa noodles at Hanayama Udon are unique. It's not the regular udon noodles you would typically get. It's a lot wider and flat. Now, I thought the first place has great umami flavored dipping sauce, but if you get the hot udon bowl, it has a very robust umami broth, which blew me away.

One of My favorite foods is Udon. Udon is a white noodle made from wheat flour. It is thick and soft. We can make noise when eating these noodles. Slurping when we eat hot Udon helps prevent us from burning our tongue

Tried Udon for the first time today! I love watching your videos, they make me crave all the food you eat. A Japanese fusion restaurant opened recently in my town, and I was finally able to try Udon! I have to admit jealousy about how much you can eat though, I ordered gyoza (6) and beef udon, had to take home half of each 😂 at least I have leftovers for a couple days!

I went to the first udon place this summer. The line was 3 times as long and my brother and me waited for around 2 hours in line. Still worth it. The udon was amazing (I took the bacon / egg one).

This is actually a great reminder! My love of udon is equal to my love of ramen, but I have yet to focus on it on my last two trips. And I eat far more udon on a monthly basis than ramen. This is must do for my April trip coming up!
I've been rewatching all your Japan videos trying to make a list of all the places and food I want to eat in Japan. In the end, I took off your Chanko Nabe place for Shin Udon since it's right by the hotel I booked. Plus, I am much more of a noodles girl. I almost put that omurice place on since I want to compare it to Pomu no Ki but in the end, I don't think I have the time to fit it in since you need to stand in line so long... I think it's called Kissa You since you didn't seem to list it in the description.
