    These actually were often compared premium models among other cars in its class. The Maxima was great, but it often was just a bit too spend for the new car buyer.

    The follow up in 1993 was of course the Altima, but maybe Nissan should have given North America the Primera as a Nissan and not an Infiniti? Might have been too expensive? Still this Stanza was a good if bland car as the reviewers stated several times.

    Total blah car. Why would you buy that when there was the Maxima? With that smooth V6. This is like a poor mans Camry.

      These were actually considered to be good little cars that were reliable, efficient, and dependable. For a Maxima, you would've paid several thousand dollars more. As for the Camry, blah...everyone had them.

      @@texan903I had a 92 Stanza that ended up with 400k miles on it when I let my dad sell it to a lady he worked with after I got a new Spec V Sentra. That was back in 2006 and the thing is still driving around today.. still with original engine and 5 speed manual transmission. Damn thing was a smooth riding car and solid! I’d give up my 2022 Altima for that car any day!
