    I bought a Used Stanza back in 2000 it was a 1991 Stanza GXE that burned oil
    I didn't pay much for it and gave it to my daughter with a case of oil in the trunk.
    It was a comfortable car that drove smoothly.

    A standard LSD??? On the old Stanza? Nissan always surprised and delighted back then.

    My parents had an '87 Stanza, and traded it for a '92 in the same gunmetal gray. My parents didn't order it with a sunroof, but it showed up with one. My dad fought the Nissan dealership for a week before they deleted the cost on the invoice.

    This is like one my ultimate favorite cars at the top of the list next to the redesigned Sentra and the 3rd Gen Maxima in the early 90s. I would like to have one of these in red or grey in the SE model with the 5-speed manual and the sporty handling package. I found a few of them on the streets today in great condition, but most likely be a XE with no tachometer.

      These are very nice cars. I actually like the plain XE A/T. I think Motorweek dropped the ball on this one. Styling was not boring at all and better than the Camry. Interior materials were first rate also. This Stanza generation looked like the Infiniti M30. I was in a Stanza once and the ride was very compliant.

      I spent a lot of time commuting in one of these, and I miss it at times. I see them regularly on AutoBidMaster selling for almost nothing. Some seem to be almost mint, just needing a good car wash. (Although auction fees and transport make it a risk.) And like you said, it's almost all auto XE's.

    My first car...wish I still had it. Liked it a lot more than my friend's Accord.

      You could see Nissan didn't want to depart too much from the successful Camry redesign of 1987. I think the Stanza looks better overall with a more European look.

    The sexiest Nissan ever. I had blue 1990 stanza with bad transmission

      I love this styling! I can't believe MW called the styling a miss, lol. And the dash ergonomics are some of the best, and they called it a miss too. I'd love to have something like this again.

    This Stanza is what the Nissan Altima replaced after ‘92.

    Seeing this brings back memories. Though my grandmother's Stanza was a 1982, I believe, these cars were simple, straightforward, comfortable and no fuss, much like the Altima is today, which is the new Stanza. My uncle, who was in his early days of driving, courted his now wife during his days of driving my grandmother's Stanza. I had a cousin a few years older, and we would tag along with our uncle. In any case, I hated when Nissan dropped the Stanza name to replace it with the Altima name instead.

      Except the Altima for the last few generations years has been an unreliable piece of crap closely associated with people who have bad credit

    • @texan903
      @texan903 Год назад

      @@Poopsticle_256 the Altima, aside from some CVT issues, are reliable, economical, good vehicles. 2013, 2014 models had CVT malfunctions that hurt reliability. My credit was 700 plus when I bought my 2018 Altima. Build quality could be better in some respects as far as the interior, but it's otherwise been a stellar vehicle.

    An all time favorite, the Altima wich was thé model that replaced it, was quite the opposite in style, à favorite too, but to me this was top marks 🥳👌🏻

    Test drove one from Steve Spicer. 5 spd manual. It was ok but I actually preferred the Dodge Spirit/Plymouth Acclaim with automatic. I didn't think the manual transmission was as smooth shifting as the Honda's I'd driven.
