The exact same way you do it in your sales role. Just let them know you’re doing research for the role and wanted to benchmark with them. Or if a rep told you who they are tell them you found out by taking to the rep and you wanted to get on their radar for future opportunities. Don’t complicate it and it’ll be fine.
Hey Pierre, I've been subscribed to your channel for a couple years now and you've always given great advice in regards to pursuing a career in medical device sales. I recently completed the 12-week Orthopedic Recon, Trauma, Biologics and Spine program at Medical Sales College, and Stryker has been my #1 target company for many months now. I've been told connecting and networking on LinkedIn would be the best way to potentially break into Stryker (and other medical device companies), however I've had little to no luck with responses and it seems every role they've posted in my area are "tire-kicking" roles. Do you have any additional advice beyond the video on how to help with the process of getting a position? Thank you in advance and keep the videos coming!
You’re in the hardest part of it right now. If I were in your shoes I’d be relentlessly hitting up multiple people on LI. I’d ask if I could chat/benchmark with them.
