“Even the darkest night will end and the sun will rise.” That got me. ❤️
Heck, the epilogue in general gets me every time.
@@acameron513 The epilogue makes me cry my eyes out every single time I see it!

Every. Time!
That's my senior quote actually!!
I've got five Les Misérables tattoos and have seen the show live 51 times. Just a little obsessed. Let's just say this made my day.
My Goddaughter was young Cosette this year so i am obessed too but not your level lol... i want to get a tattoo too x
I don't even know if the Hamilton reference was intended or not
@@novembergold4144 What reference??
@@tijay8507 maybe you don't know the musical Hamilton? It's about the american revolution and both les mis and this are my favourite musicals :)
@@novembergold4144 Of course i know the musical but i didn't get what the reference was and i still don't know what specific part of either of the posts you are referring to??
As a Phantom and Les Mis fan, thank you, Angels of Music, for sharing your gifts and thinking of us all fondly. Indeed, there will be an end to this whole dark mess, and the sun will rise on a day when we can see all our loved ones up close and personal again.
A. Katherine Suetterlin yes- also love the references
It's all fiction. Phantom of the Opera. Les Miserables. Heaven. 3 fictional books. Dead is Dead.
@@zyxw2024 I don't think so... Les Misérables and his author really changed the history of France. This is because people of Paris made revolutions (some of them failed but not all) that France became a democracy. And this is also because Victor Hugo talked about poor people that they were considered... This book is really one of the most important of the french literature and french culture.
@@zyxw2024 You need to calm down.
Thank you!
I choked up at this. Such a strong affirmation of hope.
I am literally bawling as I type this!
Looking forward to 'one day more' the day before the lockdown is lifted!!
Alan Austin-Smith great idea!

For the wretched of the earth, there is a flame that never dies
Even the darkest night will end and the sun will rise!
We will live again in freedom with no virus by our sides
We will walk along the alleys, we will put away the masks
The strains will be broken and all men can greet with warm hugs
Will you join in our crusade? Who will be strong and stand with me?
Somewhere beyond the quarantine is there a world you long to see?
Do you hear the people sing? Say, do you hear the distant drums?
It is the future that we bring when tomorrow comes!
Yeah they want to hear oneline
So proud to be part of this fantastic performance. Xx
@Dayle Henderson I didn’t record it! Way beyond my talent I’m afraid!
Paul Whittaker Goosebumps...got the feeling they’re contagious! Thankful for you all!
For Brits Everywhere - SO PROUD !!! Its absolutely Fabulous ! We will Overcome this - We are missing London already !! ❤❤❤
@Dayle Henderson Hey Dayle, I directed the piece - it was a group collaborative effort - the musical director recorded himself conducting with the backing track and with a 'hand-clap' at the beginning so all the singers could do the same and be in sync. then the editor got all the separate pieces sent via dropbox and we pieced it together - remotely!
was such a lovely surprise to see you Paul. xx
Proud to be a part of this! 💖🎭💞🎶
Oh Sarah - THANK YOU !! FABULOUS. WE ALL LOVED IT SO SO MUCH ! ❤❤❤❤
Kind of bitter to remember that at the end of the show most of them died.
They failed - but history did not end with that failure but with sweet victory.
We can only pray that those in the current battle see less tragedy than the June Rebellion.
Story. Book. Victor Hugo. BOOK.
J B is the song from the book?
:)
At the end their deaths helped shape the lives of thousands of others.
Despite the tragedy of that tale, it is beautiful in that their deaths mean something.
And at the end of (the 2012 film anyway), they're honoured as they wave their flags over the barricade of a freed Paris--
I'm sorry I get really into this stuff haha
@@Justanotherconsumer You made no mention of any song. There wouldn't be a stage play or film if there wasn't Victor Hugo's BOOK. That's the story, the BOOK. :)
J B the musical is a story too. It’s based on the book, but it is not the book.
The book is largely irrelevant here, as the video is... not about the book.
Rediscovered this when going through my liked videos playlist and 2 years later still gives me goosebumps
Steve has been such a constant every time I see the show, seeing him conducting here made me tear up..!
Introducing me to musical theatre was the best thing that ever happened to me. The best times of my life was doing drama but our company fell apart. Les Miserables was the ultimate musical for me. I loved it then and I still love it now. Nothing beats the stage shows
Thank You voices of Angels for carrying us through being together as we stay a part !!!
Spine tingling as ever. Simply the best. Thank you and thank you to our NHS.
Les Miserables The Staged Concert will be available on Blu-Ray and DVD on Monday 2nd November 2020 as it was originally going to be released on Monday 20th April
Proud to be part of this beautiful project, thank you so much for having me. It's so moving.
Bravo to all involved, especially all the organisers. Long live the NHS 💚
This was amazing!
Incidentally, I LOVE your Habanera! It's fantastic :D
@@asyoz Thank you very much. 😊 Hope you are safe and well during these challenging times ❤
@@ReneeMontemayor Thank you!
TBH It hasn't made *much* difference to my life as I'm disabled so I spend most of my time sitting in my lounge, at my computer, watching TV (or RUclips on my TV)... BUT, I do miss seeing my Mum, who's 80, and who I don't want to risk getting sick, even though the risk of catching Corona from something like incoming groceries is incredibly low, it's not zero...
I am really adoring all the inspiring and beautiful musical projects being made in this time.
I honestly hope that society comes out of all this somewhat kinder.
Incidentally, I have been out of my house twice in the last six weeks, once to the dentist, once to the rheumatologist, but, at the latter, there was a beautiful poem on the wall, it's called 'History will remember when the world stopped', by Donna Ashworth. Please look it up
Well done for being involved - I loved directing it and hoped we did you proud!
I love Les Miserables so much! This was incredible!! The song is so fitting right now... It made me a bit teary! ❤

Amazing to think that many of these performers weren't even born when Les Miz was first performed. Time flies, and Les Miz lives on.

This was great and a big thankyou to all the artists who are creating content to help us lift our spirits through this. I am really looking forward to having live music and theatre again. It will be so wonderful when we can meet a friend, dress up in a nice frock and be in a room with thousands of others watching something live.
Thank you West End artists. Thank you NHS. Stay safe and God bless you all.
