Information: The Jeddah Tower has no relation to the Saudi government.
It is a private project, not a government project, that belongs to the Kingdom Company.

It's definitely technically possible using existing techniques and materials. Is it economic? Probably not but rarely in modern Saudi Arabian history has that ever been the case... NEOM, Jeddah Tower to name just a few expensive planned or started projects that make little sense on paper... I personally still love to see a Skyscraper race taking place especially now that China has tapped out of the game...

Broad Sustainable Buildings SkyCity concept is also interesting especially since in theory a Bangkok developer had signed on to build a 1314M Supertall in the city... Haven't heard much lately though...

There is a problem. Thousands of workers need breathing apparatus plus medically, physically and mentally fit.

Yes, that’s true. Wonder what plan they have to address this issue.

Rubbish, you don't need breathing apparatus at 2,000 metres.

I personally hope both the 1 KM Jeddah Tower and the 2 KM Riyadh Rise Tower get finished in my lifetime... Though I have doubts...

Jeddah tower is gonna finish around 28 or 29 max as scheduled by the government! With our visionary leaders like King Salamn and MBS, they are expecting no delays, insallah. Unless something is out of control of course! So, its around the corner and i wish everyone good health to witness it insallah

AWESOME presentation! YES, any nation with the natural, political, human, & STEM resources HAVE the ability to construct a building OVER a mile high...question SHOULD be (to borrow from "Jurassic Park"): Just because we CAN do it, we should stop & ask does that mean we SHOULD do it? ~jm

Glad you enjoyed it:) Yes, that’s true. Even if it’s possible maybe it’s not a great idea.

This project will bring new construction materials on the table. They need some technological evolution to do this project.

Those problems are interesting but you need 100 millions people only to fill those buildings.
Maybe Saudi Arabia wants to be the home of Europeans when they will flee their countries when civil war will start.😂

@@ifyouwonder true, but they don't need much of that. 70% or more of people who work in construction or even in other position are not Saudi.
More like, Mohammed bin Salman wants to create a "Safe Heaven" for all rich people in the world (like UK was, until they decided to throw it by the window because the last UK governments are retarded).
