RecK Inferno it's a near Nexus, (okay they're calling it a pixel now) experience it isn't heavily bloated like say a Samsung would be which to me is a great thing as it makes it easy on battery and doesn't have gobs of useless features (such as turning the video off when you aren't looking at it gosh you know stuff like that has to eat the battery even when disabled which it definitely does).
I just switched to the ZTE Max Pro from the Alcatel Fierce 4. Both are great phones but the ZTE has twice the storage and memory, the larger screen and much smoother experience. I'd recommend both phones to others but would prefer the ZTE over the Alcatel. I was originally interested in switching to the LG Stylo but the Metro PCS employee encouraged me to consider the ZTE Max Pro because in his opinion it was a better phone than the LG Stylo and he said he thought it was the best choice out of all of the Androids available thru Metro. I'm glad he encouraged me to change my mind. The ZTE Max Pro is a really awesome phone!

zmax pro hands down
Seems like it gives you a lot for that price. If it does get the "Video Call" feature I wouldn't mind at all, though I haven't really used it on my LG G Stylo at all. I know another downer is the lack of NFC on the Zmax Pro, which I haven't even used at all either, just don't have a need for it I guess, but what I was looking forward to was a camera with manual controls, especially for focusing, which the Zmax Pro does have, versus the more automatic features of the other.
the zmax pro also doesn't support 5gz wifi
but it has the FHD unlike the Stylo 2 plus. huge difference between both their screens imo

I got both phones. they aren't that far off from each other imo. taken some great pics with both.
I've had my Samsung Galaxy s4 for a little over two years now so I've been wanting something new for quite some time. I was looking at phones today, and I almost had second thoughts about the zte zmax pro but I'm really glad I saw this video before I changed my mind. The zte seems like a great quality phone so I'll be purchasing it from my carrier T-Moblie. Thank you so much for your help! (And I made sure to subscribe)

Great video comparison as always. Yeah, I'd be hard picked to choose between those two devices myself but I ultimately think I would go with the Stylo 2 Plus. It brings a little more to the table than the ZTE for my usage needs.

4 months ago My neighbor got the ZTE and was showing it off to me, I loved how great the picture was when playing videos on RUclips. I had a Alcatel Fierce XL before, it was a great phone and I had zero problems with it after having it for a year and after hearing all those great things about the ZTE from my Neighbor I decided to upgrade. I was looking on MetroPCS' website and also seen the Stylo Plus 2 and really liked it. Up until this point all my previous smart phones had been Alcatels and my tablet's had been LG but after watching this video I got the ZTE Max pro as I couldn't decide between it or the Stylo Plus 2 and boy do I regret it! I've had it for almost 3 months, the first month it ran great but the big size of the phone took some getting use to. After that I started having all sorts of problems with it. The battery drains super fast even when I'm not using it, it's drags ass from time to time even if I close out all the apps. Need to take a picture and capture something really quick? Forget it! Takes between 10 to 20 secs to open the camera after touching the icon to open it, longer if your phone is in sleep mode and you have to unlock it. And now the 2 major things its been doing the past couple weeks is #1 the picture messaging hasn't been working, just yesterday my friend sent me a picture at 2pm and I barley got it this morning at 6am. Plus when I try to send pictures I get idle (pending) status's on it after it tries to send it for 30secs, my friend will still get the message sometimes but on my end it will still show as pending so I never know if it was actually sent or not and #2 sometimes when I hit the power button to put it into sleep mode (or standby mode, I forget what you call it) or if it goes into that mode by itself after 2 mins ( which it what I have it set to in the settings) it won't wake back up and I can not access the phone. I know it's obviously still on because the home button (the circle in the middle on the bottom of the phone) lights up on and off like it usually does. it will not let me access the phone or even power it off. I had to look online for a solution and found out you can do a reset by holding down the power and volume down buttons for 30+ seconds, that's the only way to solve that problem when that happens. I have all the same apps that I had on my Alcatel XL, haven't downloaded anything new or done anything different that I've done on the Alcatel and I'm having all these problems. When I first started having these problems I mentioned it to my neighbor and he's having some similar and some other problems with his as well. I'm ready to kick this piece of crap to the curb and go with the Stylo 2 Plus. Once I'll be eligible for another upgrade in the next couple weeks I'm getting the LG!!!
update: last night I was taking on this stupid Zmax and all of a sudden it hung up and give me a massage saying to insert a sim card, even after restarting it I was still getting the message. I have to take out the SIM card and reinsert it a couple times before it started to read it again. Now I hate this phone even more!
BTW, just FYI I have never dropped this phone once, have a full screen glass Protecter on it and it has been in a double lawyered case since day one.

You can get the app drawer homescreen as an upgrade on the Stylo 2 Plus via the LG Smart World application pre-installed on the phone. I have the reguar Stylo 2 on Boost Mobile and discovered it while browsing. Once downloaded, it will appear on the list of options in Settings. Nice to get rid of the clutter.

the lg power and volume locations are just something i can't live without. Almost like front facing speakers .
After having the Stylo for only a month it completely shut off on me. Because I did like it I decided to get the upgrade but was told multiple ppl complained of it doing the same thing. I was then recommended the ZTE, which I've had for months. I love it and I'm glad I chose it.

I bought the stylo 2 plus when it first came out I absolutely love it! then I decided to give the zte Zmax pro a try. I loved it in the beginning, then it got the update and started to act up. the battery drains way more quickly I get it's a 6 inch full HD screen but it's not that big of a difference from the stylo. also the zte started to freeze I had to restart my phone like 8 times a day, my videos would take forever to load, freeze while watching, then I'd go to make a phone call with the phone icon and I'd get a message saying unfortunately phone stopped working. I just wasn't very happy with it. so I just turned my stylo 2 plus back on and I'm happy I did.
zmax pro is faster and bigger screen..
does the zte have a front flash on the camera? and do either of the phones have the middle finger emoji? my hubby has the stylo 2 plus and it doesnt have it am i missing something? great review btw!
both looking nice , but which one has better screen for viewing in sunlight and which one will receive updates faster.

ok people Paul does great reviews just remember each phone is different depending on the user.. do you clean your phone.. do all updates. and this is an older vid there has been 2 updates on the z max.. it does have d some small bugs but the z max is way better again thanx Paul

How is the video camera on the ZTE??? I'm really interested in both of these phones and the stylus almost won me over because i love taking notes ;-; but I use my camera a TON and pics are super important to me!!!
Definitely getting the ZTE Zmax Pro, not only is it larger and runs in 1080p quality, it also has a 32 GB phone storage which I just adore, so I can take as many photos as I want and still get a good amount of apps as well! Best part of the Zmax Pro though is that its the most affordable smartphone out there.
you should totally do a more in depth camera review against both phones!!! I would love to see image quality from both (:

i think I'm going back to the #ZTE brand for the simple fact that ZTE 1st generation is easy to use on texting & file management between sd-card and #phone storage & customization.
I'm currently using the #stylo 1st gen... and it sucks on texting, home buttom, file management & custom #ringtones.

I have MetroPCS phones and the video here explained my ZTE Max pro phone better than any other description of the phone I've seen so far. I'm very proud to own the ZTE Max pro phone❗🎸🎤🎛. I am thinking of buying a Windows 10 computer. However, almost everything I would want to do on the internet, I can EASILY DO on the ZTE Max pro. My monthly payment is$63. 💰. ZTE Max pro has a great camera. Some rate this camera to perform better than the iPhone 7!

ZTE Zmax Pro just got a system update that fixed bugs and improved stability. It is a much better phone after applying the update.

I'm using an unlocked zemax pro, waiting for my s7 edge to come from back order on insurance through asurion . And I must say this is the nicest cheap phone I have ever gotten in a pinch. last time I got an unlocked lg and it pissed me off so much I broke it. So great job zte! Oh and the battery life is comparable to the s7 edge so awesome!

My friend has the LG Stylo 2 he likes the phone but I myself will be getting zte max pro I like big screens
It really isn't a big difference in screen size, the Stylo 2 has a 5.7" and the ZTE has a 6" I really don't like LG, I've tried so many of their phones and there is always a problem with them. I have the original Stylo now and it's my second one, the first one within the first day the screen started flickering badly and the second one 2 months later. I will NEVER buy another LG phone, even if it's free.

I'm just a ZTE fan. The zmax pro is a great unit. sure it has it's quarks, like all new models. Just be patient and wait for the updates. I'm a contractor and I go through a lot of phones. I ran over my zpro with my trailer and will get another zpro to replace it.

got the Zmax Pro. battery died quickly and it kept dropping LTE signal. ZTE said it was a hardware issue. returned it for the Stylo 2 Plus and I love it. haven't had a single problem.
update. turns out that I had a bad SIM card. fixed that and I'm back home on the ZTE. here to stay.

OK well I don't know about me video chatting yet. But I just picked mine up. If you port over your number from a different company. They are letting you get the phone for 39$ plus tax and you must pay first month bill. Dude! I love it so far. It don't get hot. And it charges faster than my Lg stylo 2 did. I was worried about the size. But if you like the iPhone 6 plus? U will love this phone. My iPhone broke and i had a stylo 2 on boost mobile but my charging port went bad. So I jumped on this deal. 😍😘😍😍

What passes me off is that Phonescoop and several other sites, including T-mobile state that the Stylo 2 plus has Miracast. However, my MetroPCS model does not have Miracast which is really the only reason I bought it.

Great review.....the ZTE ZMax Pro did better than the LG (from my observation). I have the original LG G Stylo and I regret buying is so much, I did because the LG Leon was dying on me so I went with it. My first Stylo the first day I had it the screen started flickering and I took it back the next day and got a new one, this one did the same thing 2 months later and I can't wait to get rid of it, never EVER buying another LG product again, even if it's free.

I got my ZTE ZMAX Pro at our local metroPCS dealer, a couple a days ago, for $39 + tax and one months subscription of $30 after porting over a tracfone. It is a great phone, not perfect but super great and for $39 for the phone it can't hardly get any better unless someone gives it to you for free...haha...
