I've seen people ask about a screen protector. It doesn't need one. The screen is Corning guerrilla glass. I got two updates for my zte Max pro. One update was late November early December 2016. It got another update near the end of January 2017. I've heard it will get an update to nugget mid February or later on. I'm totally satisfied with my zte Max pro from metropcs. Once in awhile, I've had trouble with Google search. I sometimes try to search and it doesn't go to anything. That's just started happening in February. Keep making these great videos. I appreciate it.
Walter Klimas . . . got zte zmax, too. What a phone, eh? My Sam-Gal-Amp-Prime always did that Google Search thing on the 1st search attempt. Never did figure it out?
+Dyana Z try the phone case from Zizo. MetroPCS carries it. It's a solid case and includes a tempered glass screen protector. The cases are designed for the phone, so if you get the right one it will fit.
This is a really good phone for the price. I have owned it since Christmas 2016 and absolutely love it. This phone has many extraordinary features and is being updated on a daily basis. Recently this phone recieved Google Assistant and it is amazing. Also, this phone is expected to recieve the Android Nougat update which I am very excited about. Also the phone has a very nice Full HD display that is very sharp. The camera on this phone is also very surprising. I have never had any problems with this phone and it is still working as good as new. I would recommend this phone for anybody who is on a budget. I have seen phones that cost up to $200 and do not surpass the specifications of this phone. I am glad for my purchase.
Great video! I like mine too. I think that it is still great. One thing I need to mention is that clearing the cache by turning off the phone and then holding the volume up and power button and then navigating to clear cache. Then power back up and wait a minute and it should be fast especially after updates. Also you should mention that you can add an sd card and reformat it as an internal storage. I have a 64 gb card in mine so now i have 90 gb of space. Still waiting for the 256 card to go down in price
I'm so jealous that you have a positive experience with this phone. I really wanted to love it but I'm having so many problems with it. Now what it started doing is Last night when I was on the phone it hung up on my call and said I needed it insert a sim card! I had to take out the sim multiple times before it started working again. Other issues I've been having is the phone being unresponsive while in sleep/stand by mode to the point with even the power button will not turn it off nor restart it, over heating, apps taking super long to open and battery draining insanely fast and I'm a light user and don't even have that many apps on it. its been a pain and I've only had it for 2 and a half months. I will be getting a new phone soon and am thinking of going with the Stylo 2 Plus.
I just got this phone recently and I don't like it lol. Maybe it's because I'm coming from an LG G3?--which wasn't really the best because of the boot loop issue, but I did like the overall settings much better. I'm trying to give it a chance, but I'm leaning towards not keeping it.

congrats on 11k Paul!!! mine is still okay after 4 months it's kinda lost some of its luster I also use my device heavily in fact probably more than you do (I keep up with all notifs I'm interested in) and my previously loved device my lg g2 that stated out in a state of pure bliss but after awhile it has become laggy and sluggish a cache partition clear helped me for a day or so as also going back to the stock launcher but it goes back to being a sluggard always IE today I touched on a notification and it didn't come up so I'm thinking okay another glitch but then 2-5 minutes later it pops up outta nowhere also my fingerprint scanner I reset it to where it works pretty good but not as well as new. I'm gonna try a factory reset and I haven't put a video out for awhile and I'll try to get one out telling people how that went and if it improved but I'll have to run it for several days to be sure thanks for the video please feel free to inform me if you are starting to see the lag I'm talking about cya.
Battery life is outstanding. I usually have to charge the battery to full once per day. Sometimes, if I used the phone a lot, it will go under 25% charge. It's always a good idea to clear the cache and clean all recent apps. The phone charges very quickly.

g.l. edwards Is the best when it come to price...but stop comparing a S7 and a iPhone 7 with the ZTE ZMAX PRO. there is nothing to compare at all. The ZTE ZMAX PRO was made for people to have a nice Android Marshmallow experience but not a top of the line latest Android Marshmallow experience.
Edgardo Soto people that drop 2-3-400 dollars on a phone is the stupidest thing eny one can do.. It's a phone people. You can still get a awesome phone under 200 like... Zte zmax pro best phone by far and built great and specs
Ramon Leon my opinion is people that spend 200 on a low budget phone are stuped people..so yes you have your opinion and I have mine.. I love phones and work hard for my money and make enough money so I can pay eazy 100 a months for a top of the line phone a month with full unlimited LTE for my work and personal stuff. There some people that are so cheap they are looking for crappy phones. There is people that can buy a top dog phone and are jeoulous of people that can buy the phone. I think you should not be judging and calling name to people becuse they have a better phone than other and don't settle for less.

I own the LG STYLO 2 PLUS, i seen your comparison video of the two phones side by side. I have to say, this phone for the price is a beast. 1080p video, 6 in screen, snappy enough or the things i do with my phone. And it has a huge battery, and 32 gb of storage. I am mad at myself, for not finding out about this phone sooner.
I eventually went ahead, and got this phone. I wanted to see for myself, if it's worth the hype thrown at it. So far, it holds up... not necessarily 32 gb least not this version. Metro PCS, 26 GB I'm a heavy user so the battery lasts me half a day. Charges quick, and depending on where you live. Call Quality is solid, you're getting what you pay for and more. Mean has sharp sound and video quality, a gripe i have. The color is off, isn't like the Stylo but it's a small thing. Front Facing camera is dim, doesn't show well in low light situations. Rear facing camera, is good a little slow on the focus. But it is about what you expect, far better than the Stylo though. Which was difficult, to get a clear picture. This phone, hasn't given me too many issues. But it has turned itself off, and restarted but these phones aren't perfect. So i deal with the few flaws it comes with. I hope my review, helps anyone who reads this. I'll add more, if asked.
I am going from the max to the lg. I have run into the same glitches with 4 of the zmax pros now. Not receiving calls, swipe not working properly, typing not working properly, apps closing on me as well.
Katlin Lawless I'm sorry to hear that, Kaitlyn I haven't had those issues. More so, small black screen appearing my phone restarting itself at times and overheats when playing intense games on my phone. I knew this phone, had its draw backs before i got it. Took the chance, because it's great for the price. 1080p screen, 32 gb of storage and huge battery life. I am sticking with it, till something better comes a long in a few years.
I've had mine for a month. I needed more storage and I had the 1st LG Stylo so I decided to try this. I have had an issue with texts not going through, especially if they had an attachment or photo. I switched to Messenger and that seems to have fixed the issue. Like the size of screen as well.
I've been advised by a few MetroPCS employees from different stores against buying the ZTE Zmax Pro because of the problems you had stated in your video. With it being hit or miss, would you recommend on buying it or wait?
I have gone through 4 now. As just a phone it is awesome. I do not however, like the glitches that come with the phone. All of them have had the same issues. I now am trying the lg stylus 2 plus.
Would like you to do video on ZMAX Pro's camera and also attachable zoom lenses if there are any which work with ZMAX Pro. Also would like to know what is good car charger for this type C charger and if you recommend portable charger.
Is there another way to get to the clipboard feature on this phone? After you select all text,you can tap share> copy to clipboard and it pops up with the Drive,Facebook icon, ect but where is the actual clipboard with your stored text and/or pictures that aren't from your current copy & paste action? It's usually set up where after you tap the blue icon near the text, clipboard pops up along with the other options, and when you tap clipboard there is a list of the previous text you've copied to the clipboard.
so I got this phone for 40 dollars, because my main phone died (Google pixel xl) while not as good, it's still an incredible device for the money. finger print sensor it's good, not as quick as an iPhone or pixel, still pretty fast, screen is also good, a bit washed out but still good, the battery is nothing to talk about but I'm a power user and it gets me through a day with 10%. the camera is the only real thing that is midiocre other wise great phone for the money
I disposed of my Samsung Galaxy S3 when I bought my first ZTE Boost Max. ZTE became my favorite manufacturer instantly... Fuck Samsung !!..... ZTE basically bootlegged the NOTE 3 and sold it for 1/3 the price when they released the original Boost Max... it even did the proprietary Samsung split screen where you could simultaneously operate multiple apps. ZTE decided to take as big of a trunk out of the cell phones Market as possible right off the bat, and they have done a fantastic job because I think they sell one third of the world's cell phones. I have purchased 5 ZMAX Pros so far and gifted four of them. THIS IS THE BEST PHONE FOR THE MONEY.. the specs rule on this phone, and let's face it... For $39 this phone is so damn good you would have to be insane not to purchase it just for the hell of it. not to mention the fact that for only $60 a month without a contract, my unlimited MetroPCS plan is truly unlimited... as in : actually unlimited without any hidden high speed data caps 'in small print'... last month I literally downloaded 127 gigabytes of high-speed data! listen again very carefully... I'm going to say it slowly this time so this stupid people will understand it too... " last month I downloaded 127 motherfucking gigabytes of high-speed data for only $60"
I have a problem with my zmax pro when I download a picture from chrome it does not show up in my gallery I've been searching everywhere and nothing any idea what I can do?
Cruz Moreno it's gonna be in your downloads folder try poking around settings and seeing if you can switch saved images from Google chrome directly to your picture gallery folder

I have a screen protector on mine and it makes the phone harder to use. It takes multiple times to scroll up and down, and the o and p are very hard to press. They won’t show up

Kwan 92 Everyone in the U. S. got an update. This was not an upgrade to 7.0 , just some tweaks to the phone. I paid full price at TMobil and I still think the phone is a great deal.
I have had mine for a while couple days and gaming sucks. Multi touch is horrible during gaming. It's annoying controls in game is glitchy. It's also slow at loading apps and loading web pages. Do I have a defective unit. Not as smooth as people say

well for me i like this device but unfortunately the volume button stopped working for me it would literally take not much of a push all of a sudden I try to turn my volume down and if nothing happens after I press it really hard I have taken care of my phone and had it in a case and the phone has turned off on me twice with literally my battery at 68% and it turned on after 10 attempts and yes I held the power button for 10 seconds and that finger sensor would not recognize my finger at times. if it hasn't happened to you just know erythang dont last forever I'm honestly just going to ditch MetroPCS and just go to T-Mobile the difference is that you get better phones but pricey bills
So I got the same phone and it's fine (I guess). However, every time I play any type of video or audio, it pauses. It's so freaking annoying. Just watching this video I've had to un-pause 2-3 times. Any tips on how to fix this? :(
I've had mine for about a year now and i think i got a z max pro that had some issues because it started glitching a bit when i got it and now it just lags most of the time

My ZMAX PRO got runned over yesterday a couple times and as far as tough is concerned, well it makes no sense to me because it still works LOL. About 99.99999% of the screen is shattered completely looking like spider webs everywhere and so 60% of the screen is no longer visible but it still works, I can access apps make and receive calls. There is glass missing and chipping off everywhere yet somehow I can still use it LOL crzay...I might see if I can upload a video of it soon.

I switched my Boost account to MetroPCS and got the ZTE ZMax Pro for free. I switched in August of 2017. I got 2 lines for $80.

love my max pro. does everything a flagship can do at less than half the price. Hopefully ZTE follows up with something that is a true upgrade.

I had the screen flicker or color issue but I got the system update in January I think it was and it fixed it completely so very happy with the phone

I've been advised by a few MetroPCS employees from different stores against buying the ZTE Zmax Pro because of the problems you had stated in your video. With it being hit or miss, would you recommend on buying it or wait?
I have gone through 4 now. As just a phone it is awesome. I do not however, like the glitches that come with the phone. All of them have had the same issues. I now am trying the lg stylus 2 plus.

Is there another way to get to the clipboard feature on this phone? After you select all text,you can tap share> copy to clipboard and it pops up with the Drive,Facebook icon, ect but where is the actual clipboard with your stored text and/or pictures that aren't from your current copy & paste action?
It's usually set up where after you tap the blue icon near the text, clipboard pops up along with the other options, and when you tap clipboard there is a list of the previous text you've copied to the clipboard.
apart from camera performance..It's the best budget phone out there.. Period...

so I got this phone for 40 dollars, because my main phone died (Google pixel xl) while not as good, it's still an incredible device for the money. finger print sensor it's good, not as quick as an iPhone or pixel, still pretty fast, screen is also good, a bit washed out but still good, the battery is nothing to talk about but I'm a power user and it gets me through a day with 10%. the camera is the only real thing that is midiocre other wise great phone for the money
I disposed of my Samsung Galaxy S3 when I bought my first ZTE Boost Max. ZTE became my favorite manufacturer instantly...
Fuck Samsung !!..... ZTE basically bootlegged the NOTE 3 and sold it for 1/3 the price when they released the original Boost Max... it even did the proprietary Samsung split screen where you could simultaneously operate multiple apps. ZTE decided to take as big of a trunk out of the cell phones Market as possible right off the bat, and they have done a fantastic job because I think they sell one third of the world's cell phones.
I have purchased 5 ZMAX Pros so far and gifted four of them. THIS IS THE BEST PHONE FOR THE MONEY.. the specs rule on this phone, and let's face it... For $39 this phone is so damn good you would have to be insane not to purchase it just for the hell of it.
not to mention the fact that for only $60 a month without a contract, my unlimited MetroPCS plan is truly unlimited... as in : actually unlimited without any hidden high speed data caps 'in small print'... last month I literally downloaded 127 gigabytes of high-speed data!

I have a problem with my zmax pro when I download a picture from chrome it does not show up in my gallery I've been searching everywhere and nothing any idea what I can do?
Cruz Moreno it's gonna be in your downloads folder try poking around settings and seeing if you can switch saved images from Google chrome directly to your picture gallery folder
and i want to know if the middle finger emoji is on the zte its not on the stylo 2 plus

PROS.. BIG... NICE FEATURES AND SCREEN BIG AND HD.... SMOOTH... MORE STORAGE ... CONS... OVERHEATING EVEN IF PHONE IS OFF WHILE CHARGING.. IF YOU USE IT FOR JUST 40 minutes it gets too hot... SHORT BATTERY CHARGE.. IT DRAINS BATTERY FAST... overheats even if you don't play games

I have a screen protector on mine and it makes the phone harder to use. It takes multiple times to scroll up and down, and the o and p are very hard to press. They won’t show up
got mine about 1 month ago. this phone is great. once you get used to the screen size even iPhone plus looks small to me haha

Kwan 92 Everyone in the U. S. got an update. This was not an upgrade to 7.0 , just some tweaks to the phone. I paid full price at TMobil and I still think the phone is a great deal.
I have had mine for a while couple days and gaming sucks. Multi touch is horrible during gaming. It's annoying controls in game is glitchy. It's also slow at loading apps and loading web pages. Do I have a defective unit. Not as smooth as people say
I would exchange it for another one. My phones gaming is great and web loads fast. Your phone may be defective.

well for me i like this device but unfortunately the volume button stopped working for me it would literally take not much of a push all of a sudden I try to turn my volume down and if nothing happens after I press it really hard I have taken care of my phone and had it in a case and the phone has turned off on me twice with literally my battery at 68% and it turned on after 10 attempts and yes I held the power button for 10 seconds and that finger sensor would not recognize my finger at times. if it hasn't happened to you just know erythang dont last forever I'm honestly just going to ditch MetroPCS and just go to T-Mobile the difference is that you get better phones but pricey bills
So I got the same phone and it's fine (I guess). However, every time I play any type of video or audio, it pauses. It's so freaking annoying. Just watching this video I've had to un-pause 2-3 times. Any tips on how to fix this? :(

I've had mine for about a year now and i think i got a z max pro that had some issues because it started glitching a bit when i got it and now it just lags most of the time

Yes. I'm on MetroPCS, which is owned by TMobile. I have constant LTE connection and I live in a rural area. It works with TMobile.

My ZMAX PRO got runned over yesterday a couple times and as far as tough is concerned, well it makes no sense to me because it still works LOL. About 99.99999% of the screen is shattered completely looking like spider webs everywhere and so 60% of the screen is no longer visible but it still works, I can access apps make and receive calls. There is glass missing and chipping off everywhere yet somehow I can still use it LOL crzay...I might see if I can upload a video of it soon.
