    0:30: 🍈 Durian is a highly loved fruit in Singapore, with adults consuming 2-4 kilograms of it every year.
    5:00: 🍈 Durians are nutritious and good for our health, containing minerals and vitamins including B9 (folate) which is essential for red blood cell formation, genetic material production, and cell division.
    9:07: 🍈 Steve is tasked with eating one durian every day for two weeks to test its effects on his body.
    14:39: 🍈 Drinking from the husk of a durian may help cool you down and remove heatiness, but there is no scientific evidence to support this belief.
    18:55: ⭐ Durian D variety has the best nutrition with the highest amount of vitamin C and moderate calories.

    Another interesting and great episode! Enjoyed watching with a lot of envy. I wonder if the different nutrition results were due to the different fruit varieties? In other words, would different batches (of the same variety like msw, but from a different trees) also yield different results? If it does, this test may not be conclusive.

    Try eating durian only and nothing else. I’ve done durian only meal for a week. At one point after a durian lunch, I tested my blood sugar after 2 hours, it came out at 5.2 milimoles/liter. And I don’t feel heaty or all those nonsense. The problem is that we eat other foods that causes interaction with durian.

    Steven, I would gladly be the guinea pig for this experiment. I can happily eat durians in place of my regular meals. I in fact do so every time I buy durians because that's how much I love durians. And to avoid the sore throat and heatiness, I always drink at least 2 cups of salt water after eating durians. But lucky for my overall health, I'm not a high-income earner so I don't buy durians too often.....lol....

    Durian is considered a healthy fruit packed with multi-nutrients provided the person who eats it doesn't have any chronic conditions like diabetes and cardio-vescular diseases. Moderate among of durian is good, same goes to other foods. Too much or too little will not do any good to the body. Last but not least, Banana is no longer the representative of Potassium but Durian. Even the doctor said potassium level in urine is high after having durian.

    It is true what she says. That is why eating a little Durian is better for you, than eating a lot.
    Plus, eating Durian just as it is starting to ripen will give a firmer fruit, than ripe, which will be soft or even mushy (over ripe). So it depends how you like to eat it. Firm, soft, or very ripe. I always choose firm.
    And do not give Durian to the elderly, they may end up in hospital with a fever.

    • @davidlamb7524
      @davidlamb7524 7 месяцев назад

      I agree but most Malaysians and Singaporeans eat it quite soft. They are wrong ! 😂 The outside almost as crisp as an apple with the inside soft and creamy is perfection imho.

    I used to do the same . Eating only durian and water for 5 days and it was awesome for my gut but not for my throat 😂 lips also get dry

      🤔 durian pulp is like a regurgitated mess in your belly…imagine if there is a sizeable amount 😬…drinking water is all in your head 🤭
