- Started out in singel player as i needed to learn the basics again.
Funny considering i was a national team player and did cups ladders tournaments etc and could be considered a pro at the time. Now i suck!

A short guide to make the game easier:
Push button G - pick up a fallen infantryman's kit.
This way you can heal yourself by throwing a first aid kit or revive a teammate with a defibrillator, and replenish your ammo by throwing a box of ammo from a support kit. You can also take an engineer's or sniper's kit to throw anti-tank mines or throw claymores against infantry. For 20 seconds, your previous weapon kit will lie in place and can be picked up again (G).
Push button C - change the camera view on equipment and on a helicopter, the cabin will not interfere with the view when firing a cannon. If you are flying alone in a helicopter or a two-seater plane and they are trying to shoot you down with a homing missile, and your heat flares are temporarily inactive - quickly change seats, press F2 and back F1. Even an already launched missile will not hit you.

For me, this game is one of the best of all time and I got to know it in the late 2000s and still play it with pleasure.

I really thought 2042 was going to be like 2142 but like lower level tech. Then 2042 released...... and it sucked.
I was still playing singleplayer till a few weeks ago. Mine stopped working just like yours.The later ones got too realistic and it was hard to tell what was going on.

By the way, I recommend increasing the video resolution in the settings.
Please play in the online servers, they're almost empty!

The problem was, and is, cheaters. That has always been and will always be THE problem.
not to mention primadonna admins that'll kick you if you shoot them or disagree with anything they say. the real legacy of the Battlefield series: shutdown official servers, vengeful bullied nerds running unofficial servers and rampant cheaters.

What was your nickname and what was your team name? And are there any tournament videos? I honestly want to see your old clan battles bud!
All vids were lost as those sites are all gone like megaupload etc and at that time no one used youtube other then cat videos. Was really no team names other then clans were we rounded up the best players made team then joined cups etc. My clan was casual af so like many we grouped up with others to play on a higher level. @@ungface The peak was with the release of battlefield 3. When there was awesome graphics, sound and destructibility.
@@darkolay9077 bf3 had destructibility but it missed the commander and the squad centered gameplay the 2 had. The 2 was and is the best BF ever.

@@darkolay9077 considering the game was out in 2005, graphics doesn't mean everything. This was without a doubt, peak battlefield. Had a commander mode (yes BF4 had it too), and it was more team orientated.
As for the slightly more modern titles, I would have to give Bad Company 2 a shout out, amazing graphics for a 2010 game with destruction.
