Yeah Stutter city - I've had instances where the frames drop from 60 to 30 not to mention the random stutters. No Raytracing either. They need a different Graphics Engine and/or add DLSS/FSR.

I need to get the fullscreen to work in 240hz because I want to use HDR and smoothness of higher hz not 60hz. I was able to this before dlc not anymore. I guess I'll play in borderless or 60 hz hdr.
Hey, so i have always used flawless widescreen without issues. Since the recent patch Flawless widescreen couldn't find the aspect ratio injector. After countless of tries i resorted to the last option that came to my mind which was deleting everything. This includes elden ring, flawless widescreen and the mods installed. This should technically result in every path being fresh and nothing to be able to interfere. Reinstalled elden ring, reinstalled flawless wide screen. I did not reinstall the mods just to see if it would work and yet i get the same error even tho i followed your video from a to z. There is no way to contact the flawless ultrawide dev to ask questions so here i am lost and not able to play the game anymore.

I thought you managed to ultrawide online. If you're offline might as well use Remove Black Bars with Ultrawide Fix and some hdr or camera mod with it.
It works for me - I just booted it up to Test (July 4th 2024) Here is what I did: ✅Steam Downloaded the Patch ✅I put the Names / Files back to the Original State ✅Booted up the Game in Normal Online Mode (No UW Mod) ✅Quit the Game ✅Redo the steps for UW ✅Click the Flawless Widescreen Update and Reload Plugin Button ✅Start the Game

If i just ran Flawless ultrawide through seamless coop mod, and I didn't do the whole renaming Exe and EAC bootstrap, can I just close out Flawless Ultrawide and then open the game normally?
Seamless Coop Mod uses an entirely different Executable that's separate from the Main EXE - this mod works with the Seamless Coop Mod; I've tried it and it works. No need to rename anything if you're using the Seamless Coop Mod.

flawlesswidescreen is currently bugged since the last elden ring update, the fps unlocker will allow you to select a framerate rate like 165, but in game you will be capped at 100fps. Win + Ctrl + Shift + b while in game will fix it, but it can mess up hdr

does this work if you are running the seamless coop mod? the mod already has us start up ofline but you start the game from the mod launcher not the green play button on steam.
5:16 I have exatly this problem with the base game. The thing is when I recheck it, it automatically unchecks in in a few seconds. Its not possible for me to check it while the game is on. Does anybody know a solution?
It happens to me too. My solution is to quit both the game and Flawless Widescreen completely. Boot up FW first and then ER. Make sure Fix Enabled is Checked before ER is up. It works in that order for me every time. Good luck.

This crashed the game a lot for me but lowering the frames from 240 to 200 seem to reduce the crashing. It got to the point that i gave up with this option.
its also a simple method for a guy with a download frim a program who will start the game offline mode only and its past perfect for my monitor Lg ultra gear 45 zoll this method worked also but a bit more work

I think the FPS unlock is busted. The devs updated this mod right after the 1.13 patch and it's still not working. I've heard others mention this as well in both of my Ultrawide Videos I have.
I messed up the fullscreen to borderless part and had to do it a second time after loading my game. I think I just didn't save / apply the settings the first time.
I followed you step by step, got the correct measage for disabling EAC, but when i launch the game it gives me an error aaying "the execution cannot proceed because MSVCP100.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem." I reinstalled everything twice but it still doesnt work. Game fires up but its exactly normal, no changes to fov or widescreen happening 😢
Never heard of this before but if I had this issue I would do the following: 1) Install the Missing MSVCP100.dll 2) Verify File Integrity in Steam for Elden Ring 3) Reboot your PC after each step (annoying but it helps) 4) Click the Reload Plugins and Check Updates in Flawless Widescreen bottom left corner just to be sure you have the latest 5) If nothing else works, Uninstall Elden Ring and reinstall the game.
I tried posting the solution 5 times, but YT autodelets it... one more attempt. Look at Flawless's website and scroll all the way down to Installation Prerequisits. Worked for me. Hope that helps. :)
I have elden ring, appearing to run at 120fps. I don't remember using the mod. I went through a hardship and completely forgot that I had done it, until I started experimenting with online and getting the message. Now Im trying to figure out how to undo a mod I don't remember installing.

Game crashes repeatedly after updating to game version 1.12, and when it crashes it forces me to restart/sleep cycle my OS otherwise the monitor that Elden Ring was running on goes into a blackout mode. I can't even exit Elden Ring using the in game Exit button, same shit. I think I will be switching back to V 1.8~ , which worked perfectly. All I want is widescreen 21:9, and no crashes. HDR.
FPS unlock works but only in borderless Windowed mode. This is fine, you can't turn HDR on in that case though. Everything else works in Fullscreen mode
@@oxfordking Probably so! I am pretty sure Fullscreen was working until the patch, so I'm hoping HayDen updates it. The game isn't much different with unlocked FPS, it's just the principle of the matter with a high refresh monitor lol. There's a separate standalone mod that does the same stuff and appears to function similarly with the same Fullscreen issue
One solution I've found so far for this specific issue is: "Windowed HDR Workaround" on nexusmods (read the full details on its description page). That mod is currently working for me - (getting HDR with borderless windowed unlocked fps). - --One possible issue with that mod though, is it MIGHT be causing a performance hit (not enough real testing so far, but recently with it enabled I was getting approx 65-85fps (borderless windowed with HDR on), while in the same area earlier [with ONLY flawless widescreen's features and zero other mods to allow HDR to be on] -> I was getting 95-117fps(rtss fps cap). ** More testing to confirm is necessary though. Neither FWS or the GitHub "EldenRingFPSunlockerAndMore" work properly without being in borderless windowed. Anyone else? (RTX 4090, 4k 120hz "G-sync compatible" display, *gsync enabled for windowed and full screen mode in NVcontrolPanel, everything updated)

Edit: not to belabor this but for others out there it does look like there's an FPS hit compared to running it without the mod. Was actually getting like 160 fps in a room windowed mode without, about 95 in the same room with it. Interesting stuff! Game still goes below 60 occasionally in areas with lots if vegetation. Kinda nuts.
hello, how can i make this work with mods? when I launch the .bat for mod engine 2, it doesn't run anymore because we changed the executable name. is there a way to make it launch the new one we created?
I believe so, try it out but some are reporting here in the comments that the fps unlock isn't working at the moment. Worth trying for yourself though.
(Edit: My way may cause VAC ban, luckily I haven't encountered it, use at caution!) Not sure if my way is fail proof, but all I had to do was move the .txt file containing (1245620) into the Game folder and put steam to Offline mode, then boot Elden Ring from the Game folder. If I wanted to go back Online, all I had to do was remove the .txt file, go back online on steam, and launch the game with whatever shortcut is possible.
You run a risk of a VAC Ban with that method - it can be done, yes, but with risks. This way, albeit lengthier, does not have any repercussions. Both work though.
My game full on freezes when running this or ultrawide mods, sometime the freezes last over 60 seconds but alt tabbing instantly unfreezes. I've run out of ideas to try and fix this.

I have the same resolution (Lenovo Legion 5 pro 2021) and it works for me
I really hope the next Fromsoft game will finally support these features, I cannot go down to 60 so these third party programs are a life saver.

The "steam_appid" step is not necessary. It works fine without it. (Playing the DLC)

Also try unchecking the Distant Animations box as well - sometimes I think that messes with the engine but I could be wrong.

I think the FPS unlock is busted. The devs updated this mod right after the 1.13 patch and it's still not working. I've heard others mention this as well in both of my Ultrawide Videos I have.

So, if you aren't using the online mode, does that mean you won't get patch updates? Or would multiplayer mode be the only thing affected?
Just multiplayer.
When the Steam Client gets updates I revert back to Online Mode to make sure the App and Calibrations are also updated before going back to UW.
Fromsoftware should hire you and make u desing the game options

No app Id file. Just api64.Dll

There's a separate standalone mod that does the same stuff and appears to function similarly with the same Fullscreen issue
One solution I've found so far for this specific issue is: "Windowed HDR Workaround" on nexusmods (read the full details on its description page). That mod is currently working for me - (getting HDR with borderless windowed unlocked fps).

--One possible issue with that mod though, is it MIGHT be causing a performance hit (not enough real testing so far, but recently with it enabled I was getting approx 65-85fps (borderless windowed with HDR on), while in the same area earlier [with ONLY flawless widescreen's features and zero other mods to allow HDR to be on] -> I was getting 95-117fps(rtss fps cap). ** More testing to confirm is necessary though.
Neither FWS or the GitHub "EldenRingFPSunlockerAndMore" work properly without being in borderless windowed. Anyone else?
(RTX 4090, 4k 120hz "G-sync compatible" display, *gsync enabled for windowed and full screen mode in NVcontrolPanel, everything updated)

Edit: not to belabor this but for others out there it does look like there's an FPS hit compared to running it without the mod. Was actually getting like 160 fps in a room windowed mode without, about 95 in the same room with it. Interesting stuff!
Game still goes below 60 occasionally in areas with lots if vegetation. Kinda nuts.

hello, how can i make this work with mods? when I launch the .bat for mod engine 2, it doesn't run anymore because we changed the executable name. is there a way to make it launch the new one we created?

@oxfordking I don't use HDR as Shadowplay captures my games weird or not at all. Using Reshade though 👍
This gave me a 180 soft ban, so be very careful. That said, the result is incredible on my 49" widescreen. Amazing.
Interesting - I've been using this Mod for 2 Years and never once did I get a Soft Ban, VAC Ban etc. Not sure why you got one tbf.

I believe so, try it out but some are reporting here in the comments that the fps unlock isn't working at the moment. Worth trying for yourself though.

Turn on Vsync in your Nvidia or AMD control panel. I don't have tearing on mine.
(Edit: My way may cause VAC ban, luckily I haven't encountered it, use at caution!) Not sure if my way is fail proof, but all I had to do was move the .txt file containing (1245620) into the Game folder and put steam to Offline mode, then boot Elden Ring from the Game folder. If I wanted to go back Online, all I had to do was remove the .txt file, go back online on steam, and launch the game with whatever shortcut is possible.
You run a risk of a VAC Ban with that method - it can be done, yes, but with risks. This way, albeit lengthier, does not have any repercussions. Both work though.

My game full on freezes when running this or ultrawide mods, sometime the freezes last over 60 seconds but alt tabbing instantly unfreezes. I've run out of ideas to try and fix this.
sounds like ur graphic card cant keep up maybe
@@captiankale6741 GPU is fine, found out disabling affinity on cpu0 thread stopped the freezing. No idea why lol

Could not find AspectRatio injection point, Elden Ring may have updated to a version that is no longer supported.

It works for me - I make build guides to this day using this mod - try checking the Fix Enabled part at the top. It will Uncheck itself a lot.
