@@christian.xavier.villagran Hey there, Unfortunately the issue you're having isn't UW Mod related - sounds more like a Steam File Integrity issue. I may do another version just to get it out there though and possibly soon if I get more comments that feel the need for this. But I'm afraid it won't correct the issue you're currently experiencing.

@@kyzirock8183 Make sure the Flawless Widescreen app is running in Administrator mode before you start the game. I used to fire up the game forgetting to turn on the Mod. The Flawless Widescreen Tool must be running with the Elden Ring Tab opened and activated in the mod first before playing the game. I used to forget to do this and wondered why the game wasn't using the mod.
@@kyzirock8183 I just fired up the game and Mod works perfectly. Ultrawide and all. No issues on my end. Sorry to say but I would retrace your steps and make sure not to miss anything, Works perfectly.

Hello! Today, 21-02-2024, I used your video to play Elden Ring in 21X9 resolution, and it worked perfectly. The patch version of the game today is 1.10.1.
Before, I used a lot of Nexus mods to bring the ultrawide experience, but with your tutorial everything became easier!

Appreciate that - whats funny is I had to watch my own video here recently as I am now streaming Elden Ring Ultrawide over on Twitch to test things out - I just hope this works for the DLC. If it does then I'll probably end up making a brand new video only this time discussing the DLC. This video here is 2 years old and still being searched for which is bananas.

Yeah it's crazy how Armored Core 6 had UW but not this one that sold a shit ton.
@@oxfordking would've thought that they would add it in the dlc considering the price tag... but im not sure how engine dependent at least the framerate and stuff is in elden ring compared to ac6 :/
Crazy part is that they just covered up the rendered UW screen with the black bars. So it is rendered, they just cover it up from what I'm hearing.
Few years back, I saw my game in UW then went back after I hit the map.

hello Vertigo. May i know if you are on windows 10 or 11? I was wondering if it's not working for me because I'm using windows 10. I did all the speps described in the video, but it doesen't want to work for me. After you renamed the originally anti cheat, did the bear icon change for you? Mine did not. I think the game could still the originally anti cheat instead of the other one i made.

Hey there! First off, thanks for watching and commenting; means a lot! Yeah I really wish they would officially add support but none of their other titles had support. The only other one was Dark Souls Remastered which was remastered by a different studio - they implemented UW wonderfully. I just wish FromSoft would adjust to the times.

Yeah most of us weren't surprised as none of the prior FromSoft games did not. Dark Souls Remastered does have it but the remastered version was ported over by another dev team. Armored Core VI was the first FromSoftware game to have implemented Ultrawide support. Here's hoping they continue to add UW support to their future games.

@@oxfordking it worked once, now trying to boot up again through either the file explorer or steam, boots up with the anti cheat and the game isnt widescreen =(

Thanks it worked for me. Played the whole game last year in standard on my widescreen. Not happening for the dlc. Pretty annoying they dont just enable it.I am getting 120fps now too.
Cloud saves still work which is nice ,ill be able to hop on my handheld still too. Last step was not required for me also

Yeah tell me about it... My screen is just north of $1k and having to do things like this is just a shame in 2022. I feel you and everyone else that's equally frustrated in the community. Worked great! My only issue is that my mod installer won't launch the game anymore. Have you managed to get flawless widescreen and mods to work at the same time?
I actually never tried to get anything else to work with it other than Seamless Coop - haven't tried ReShade etc.

I’m fundamentally against developers refusing to support Ultra Wide resolutions in 2022. I’ve never touched valorant for that reason, but since this is a single player game, I can’t get banned for using my monitors aspect ratio

@oxford king. Worked great, thanks for the clear instructions. i'd also like to have a dual save with 16.9 and HW. How do i go about doing this? Does all the UW steps need to be disabled?
You'll have to choose one or the other and switch between the two in the directory. That's what I do. My RUclips playthrough is 16:9 and when I farm runes etc I switch to the UW mod. Takes less than 60 seconds to swap. Same game cloud save.

That works and I've flawless widescreen closed but I'm still getting the 'suspicious activity' and forced to offline. Was hoping i could have a 16.9 online save on the go at the same time. @@SteNeale Hey there, so that's what I meant by choosing. There is no way to have a separate save file name for 16:9 Online versus 21:9 Offline. It's unfortunately a manual swap every time. My sincerest apologies!
It worked for me on the latest patch, but I was getting a dll error and had to install the 2010 and 2013 c++ packages from Microsoft. I did both the x86 and x64 packages and it solved my problem

do you have any clue as how the dlc will affect this? I mean as in can i just updste the game and do all the normal steps after an update and it will work or something more because id like to be playing it day 1 of release
I have no clue yet until I get my hands on. My channel is way too small to get early Access from the devs. I'll be checking first thing this weekend and will make a new video if it works 👍

I played the game first without Ultrawide all online - when I had one file, I duplicated that file (I made another tutorial video on how to do this) and enabled this UW Fix.

Cheers for this! Question: what is the frametime adjustment and increase animation distance? What do these do? I dont wanna mess with the devs vision too much and not looking for any shortcuts in gameplay.
Hey thanks brotha! Great questions:
1). Think of the Framerate adjustment as "Unlocking" the Framerate beyond the intended 60 FPS. The game is taxing in its current state so your best bet is to either leave this to default 60 or throw this to 120. Completely your choice which is great to have!
2). The Increase Animation Distance is when there are moments where distant Enemies, and their Shadows, have their FPS Animations cut down to what looks to be about 5 Frames - this Slider increases that animation so they are animated to near full capacity. The developers had to work on old hardware for this title i.e. PS4 and Xbox One so the engine carried over to the newer Generation of hardware with no adjustments made. Im my Humble Opinion, this slider is a nice feature as Default breaks Immersion.
Closing Thoughts:
These sliders will not mess with the Vanilla Vision of the game imho - I completely agree with you whole heartedly on this as I am also a HUGE FromSoftware fan - by adjusting these two settings it's basically adding your favorite flavored Milk to your Favorite Cereal of choice.

@@oxfordking whoa, what a great reply, thanks! So I gave the mod a try, but for some reason the game looks absolutely washed out. Like if you cranked up the gamma settings way up. Tested it on my other 16:9 monitor and the picture looks great. Any ideas? This happens in the dark areas, like dungeons and such.
@@adamplechaty Yup! The solution to this is Turn OFF Image Scaling in the Nvidia Control Panel; if you're using an Nvidia Graphics card that is. No clue on AMD hardware. My game was also washed out (HDR Display). Turning OFF the Image Scaling fixed this for me and I hope it does for you as well!

@@oxfordking no luck for me. Running my Dell 34 UWD on my 3080 laptop and turning off the scaling didnt work. I actually turned it off for both my laptop display and the UWD monitor plugged in thru DP. The game still looks awful on my Dell while looking stunning and colorful on my IPS 16inch laptop display. Oh well, no 21:9 Elden Ring for me I guess... Other games like God of War looking stunning on the UWD tho.
@@adamplechaty Dang - I was anticipating your response. Does that laptop have an Internal GPU in addition to the 3080? I used to work at Dell and some of those have Intel Onboard GPU + a Main GPU and they sometimes conflict with one another. Also, Turn OFF HDR in Elden Ring - let's see if that works at all. Really sorry to hear this man.

Any idea if u can go online with the same save file you've used this mod on? Or if you have to use another save file from before you ran the game with mods?
I followed your video but ended up using another mod as the black bars didn't get removed with this one. But they were literally just an start game offline mode no anticheat mod, a fps unlocker. And removal of black bars. So I assume the same logic would apply

Well my monitor isn't ultra wide it's 16:10. Maybe thats why it didn't work for me?

Just used the tutorial to re-enable the UW MOD after the latest patch and it worked fantastic! should I delete the old changes (renamed files) or just leave?

Yes as that's linked to Steam Cloud Save. I have done this multiple times.
