having watched a few of these diecast restoration videos i wish i had kept all mine i had as a kid, i bet i had about 100 of them, several a bit bashed up, it would have been fun to restore them.
I resto +'d mine. did it in dark blue with white bits and made it a stack of lumber as a load, held down with some teeny tiny ratchet straps which were a bugger to make but really set it off.
Another cracking job, if i had to criticise one thing, and it is minor, maybe could have done with another top coat of white underneath, especially on the fuel tanks. Just looks a little thin, other than that, excellent mate. 👍🏻
Great job Jason, looks way better now! Paccar did DAF no favours in Australia after the buy out, in the early 2000's they were a common truck to see over here (fourth place after Volvo, Scania and MB as far as European manufacturers are concerned), you rarely see a new one now due to poor marketing by Paccar and less than stellar after sales support.
often if a part isn't available it may well be it is because you can substitute it for another . the Leyland ergomatic or the ford truck may well fit it
check my build on the husky Bedford fire engine ,, I used a cheap and nasty Chinese diecast screen as no husky available as they weren't built with one ,, not perfect but I reccon matchbox will be much more passable and interchangeable
I have the Girder Truck with all the original girders I am an American living in France perhaps I could send you a picture to get your opinion? I also have many 1968 Lesney Matchbox cars in perfect condition
Of all the diecast restoration channels on RUclips, you have the most complete detailed analytical commentary.

This looks really good. He's already delivered some of the girders and he's going on to his nect drop off.
