    Wedge 2 butter knifes on the sides and it’ll pop right out. You just have to get it passed the little tabs holding it in.

    I have an aftermarket radio in mine and want to replace it. However, can't seem to find out how to get it out of the dash. Doesn't look like I can use the coat hanger trick.

  • @Beandiptheredneck

    Quick tip for everyone. I see everyone using wire and other flimsy stuff. Don’t do that!! Use two small screw drivers, just small enough the head fits through the holes. Start on an angle outwards then push the handles outwards as you pull back, I’ve done it a few times and it’s not that hard

    • @sbmiller100
      @sbmiller100  4 года назад +2

      Nope it's not that hard don't mean everyone has little screw drivers laying around when they decide to upgrade from factory radio. Key is to work with what you have. If your not saving the old radio what's it matter of it breaks

    • @Beandiptheredneck
      @Beandiptheredneck 4 года назад +1

      sbmiller100 fair enough, just figured I’d drop a comment for those who want to save them, personally I just installed a factory deck I found in my truck to replace the aftermarket one

    Doing mine right now having the same damn problem. Think ill spray just tiny shot of WD in those holes.
    Thank you for posting..Because we all. Hate breaking things. And plastic doesn't hold up over time. As in those. Damn plastic vacuum lines. I just re did on my 26 year old Bronco amazing how nice it runs now.actullay removed the pvc all togather. & put a Tiny KN filter on end of the hose at vavle Cover AS A BREATHER. WE dont need dirty air and carbon build up in our top ends do we.?.
    Does more damage than good. And don't Plug that hole . or youll. Build up Pressure. Blowout oil pan and vavle cover Gaskets. Let it just breathe . is what i did .or some people will route A hose from pvc to the Air intake side Under the Air filter instead. So its at least some what filtered air instead.. It help preserve the top end . I have 263k + on 5.8 roller motor & its still going strong..
    Ford did come out with a roller cam in some of their motors from the factory. Starting in late 1993.on 5.8
    Peace and blessing to all.
    Runs better and helps On MPG.
