Isn't it weird... Here in Germany it's 4.30h in the morning and I'm connected to someone from 10000 miles away over a song done almost 40 years ago?! That's the better part of RUclips.
You had to point out that it was almost 40 years ago. I can remember running out to buy this cassette as soon as it came out. LOL
I wish i had You Tube in the early 80 when i was learning the guitar
danke shen.
@@jayrahvisions haha. Almost. It's "Danke schön" ;)
Bitte schön. (you're welcome)
@@saturnracer156 haha. I feel you. Sorry. I meant... uhm... 20 years ago. 🙄
That's the definition of heavy metal.
When you talk of heavy metal this band is the blue print.
The guitar intro still till this day gives me chills up my spine. This whole album is extremely brilliant. Excellent choice.
This song is BRILLIANT 👍
Judas Priest "Riding on the wind" is a must !
Live in Memphis 1982 for sure!
Devil's Child is another great one by them
Dual guitar attack! Glenn Tipton and K K Downing are just awesome! They both should be included in any top metal guitarist list. British Steel or Screaming for Vengeance deserve a complete listen!
You can't find a better album than screaming. Start to finish it is iconic
@@IndianaNatureDefenders Of The Faith is right up there with this album. Jawbreaker
@@thomasbrown2465 Defenders is epic, but I think I like Turbo a bit more. My youth related to that albums message I think.
Can't go wrong with any Judas Priest albums. Turbo and Ram It Down are my favorites. Blood Red Skies is a awsome song among Hard As Iron. Turbo and Reckless are my favorites on Turbo.
@@thomasbrown2465 I believe Ram it Down used some tracks that didn't make it on the Turbo album.
Touch of evil
Dying to meet you
Diamonds and rust
The rage
Beyond the realms of death
Run of the mill
Dreamer deceiver/deceiver
Sentinel
Blood red skies
Ram it down
Victim of changes
The Rage is so criminally underrated
Love this song and this entire album. I was in a metal band in the mid-80’s and this is one of the songs we regularly covered. Thanks so much for reacting to this. It brings back great memories.
The opening riff to this song gives you goosebumps. It's epic. SFV is one of the best metal albums ever made. Just brilliant from start to finish.
I saw them twice in this era it was like being punched in the face with the best sound you could get at that time from start to finish . One of my favorite concerts
It was my very first concert I ever went to - July 1980, during the "British Steel" tour. I was 5th row, center, at a small college arena. To this day, and many many concerts later, it's still the best concert I ever saw... and by far, the LOUDEST! My ears were ringing for the next 2 days!
These guys were the first live band I ever saw. It was 1979 and they were the warm up band for Kiss on their Dynasty tour. I have sent them four additional times. The last time being in 2018 when they played with Deep Purple. What a show!!
Loudest Show I've ever attended, and I've seen some of the other #loud" legends.
Judas priest- dreamer deceiver top 5 in the mid 70's. Nobody talks about this song. Very unrated song. I think dreamer deceiver is there best song.
Hellya!!!!!
I forgot how much I enjoy this song and this album I had to break out the vinyl...
Electric Eye .... just...... DO IT.
Beyond the realms of death must be next ....and then desert plains ...if you wanna hear drums
Awesome album. How about a little ELECTRIC EYE?!
Finally a reaction to this deep cut! Banger!
Simply let it beeeeee!
Check out more Judas Priest -- Jawbreaker, Desert Plains, Beyond The Realms Of Death, Touch Of Evil
Check out the 1982 live version of the song Screaming For Vengeance which is the title track from the album Bloodstone is on.
Rob Halford The Metal God 🤘🤘🎤🎶
My favorite tune from Judas Priest !!!!!
Priest are the best of British IMO and this is a crazy underrated track.
Hope you can get to the rest of this album over time Jay. Great song.
Great choice - first time I’ve seen someone react to this.
Howdy from Houston 🙋🏻♀️ this is one of very few vinyls I kept from back in the day. I would love to see you do it start to finish!!
I know you would really like The Scorpions as well... fire guitar riffs and melodies from Matias Jabs and Rudolf Scheinker- a few of my favorites are Animal Magnetism
Crossfire, China White, Make it Real, Love Drive and Coast to Coast 🦂
Priest really defined the 80s metal sound with this album. Tho I will always prefer their 70s songs, more experimental, almost proggy and incredible vocals. I recommend Burnin' Up or Delivering The Goods.
These guys wrote so many great and varied songs.
Great album, Jay Rah! Keep up the great work.
Breaking the Law
Finally! Someone out there loves this song other than me...(don't let the unabashed sarcasm slip past ya). Great cut from an LP that doesn't have a bad one on it. Iconic Metal album. Kudos to whoever requested this one. Definitely not the first one you'd think you'd hear from this album.
Nope! You're good company. I crank this UP when I have a listen.
Very Interesting - you became an expert on EVH - He is the Greatest of all time and Van Halen was the Best Band of All Time!! Loved your great reactions to Van Halen. Now, you are listening to Glenn Tipton of Judas Priest. He has been one of my favorites for a long time. He is a very good guitarist! EVH is the Best but Tipton is one I have a lot of respect for. The opening riff to Bloodstone is killer!
Let's do it!!!
Love this whole album. My opinion Fever. Check out Unleashed in the East. Diamonds and Rust. And Victim of Changes
Bloodstone is a pretty awesome jam. Awesome review, Jay. Rock on!😎👍
Awesome reaction!!!💞💖
You should watch the live video from Memphis '82 to appreciate the twin guitar attack of KK & Glenn, & Rob nails it live !!
U da man!!
The Priest at their top! 🤘🏻
Blood stone. A stone of courage, historically.
Was? Cool dude 😎💪🤘
Classic right here bruh! Sending love from the Central Valley California ❤
Been missing U bro!!! ☠️💪🤘
This is a very educative vid. Judas Priest 4 life
Fn sick!!!
Would love to see you react to my favorite Priest song "The Green Manalishi" (ok, technically it's a Fleetwood Mac song, but Priest's version is quite different!)
Between this and Defenders of The Faith, this is peak Priest.
Glen Tipton !!
Thrash metal is more along the lines of early Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, Exodus, Anthrax, etc. This is heavy metal, not thrash. But this album is great. I was a teenager when it came out and it's always been one of my favorites. Check out the title track, Screaming For Vengeance. That one kicks ass.
😎
Interesting choice of songs...
Riff is killa'!!!
Bro, one of my favorite songs, amazing you are the only one to react to this. Desert Storms? Good shit man. Those arnt power chords unless you count more than 2 frets as a power chord. Good shit though dude, I am late to the party but you at least have some understanding.
Seen that tour -- 3rd row floor “ center..... ( that was a good time). Check- out “ the live tracks specifically from “ the screaming for vengeance tour”
You must do Screamin for Vengeance off of this album bro!
Great great album! 👍
I saw them tour supporting this album back in the day. Fucking awesome. Yo Jay, try you some Suicidal Tendencies - Which Way To Free. Garrunteed to rock those 'phones off.
I would catagorize this as "hard rock". Check out "Hellion/Electric Eye". it's on the same LP as this gem. Great reaction!!
perfect
There’s a great live video of them playing this in ‘82. Check it out, it’s rad as shit.
🔥🔥❤
☠️🎸✌️👍😎
Great air drumming track 😉
No No No Not a hair metal band. A true heavy metal band.
British steel best album
Was my workout tape.
Benched 325 squared 625
Thanks to British steel
"Bloodstone" is a song from "Screaming For Vengeance".
Do more JP please.... such a varied band...they can do blues to thrash to hair metal to soft rock to soul/funk.... Rob Halford can sing nearly every kind of rock genre out there.... And honestly, the band is still going and their last two albums Firepower and Redeemer of Souls are some of their best works.... earlier stuff was a little more experimental in sound though... having more variety of sound across an entire album.... but all of of their albums rock at worst.
Rob Halford!!!
Dude you should react to judas priest victim of changes
☠️🤘
Iced earth song I died for you or vengeance is mine off dark saga must here this!
If u like that, try " $CREAMING 4 Vengeance"!!!!
Got to do JudisPreist braken the law
They weren’t thrash metal, that would be Slayer for example.
This is a great song off of a great album. It was what was hot when I was in high school. May I suggest you listen to the album, "Sad Wings Of Destiny." Maybe don't even react to it. Just listen to it where you can enjoy it without having to worry about making that fucking stank face. Find someplace quiet and dark with a great set of headphones and a comfortable chair. You'll thank me for it.
Maybe a little electric Neil Young reaction? Cortez the killer or Down By the River?
Yeah rob hAlford had no hair just leather
Dreamer Deceiver and Deceiver if you really tryna appreciate Halford’s voice
lol i still consider this a quite "new" album, dunno but im sso stuck in recent albums/song that i almost always
are critic to new stuff (maybe im life scared it dont stand up to earlier releases)... anyway it was about mid-80's
went home to a mate and there they sat smoking and listened to this, it wasn't bad but a bit more "electric" sound
(typical 80's) but as years went by i got used to that sound IF USED i the proper wayit (many bands kinda changed
sound similarly).
Damn i must go against my own principles and suggest a cover ... but it's so efifin good, even though it keeps
a lot of the original it is a total punch of ass raw riffs, cocky approach and got that perfect bloody"hang"
(Motleys Kickstart my heart is still "hang champion") :)
anyway heeeere's Johnny!
ruclips.net/video/I9YlTBEBwIQ/видео.html
Doh, heck while we're at it, lets throw in Pete Tosh too!
The most unexpected but just as damn good reagge cover!

"Legalize it, don't critizise it"
Judas Priest have always been considered straight up Heavy Metal... one of the first! Metallica were considered Thrash and / or Speed Metal, then along came Slayer, lol!
More Rush please 🙏 Bytor and the Snow Dog from Exit Stage Left is a fav of mine along with
Listen
Passage to Bangkok
Animate
Far Cry
Cheers 🇨🇦✌
Show don't tell. Another one from Rush! 🇨🇦✌ Cheers
Bytor and the Snow, The End, in the Mood Medley from Exit Stage Left is amazing!! ✌🇨🇦
Always 2 guitars with PRIEST
Not Thrash. Thrash tends to be much faster than 120 bpm. Priest is just good old fashioned Heavy Metal! This particular song is a fairly easy song to learn for beginner guitarist. Don’t take that as my knocking the band or the song as some of the best songs are slow (by Metal standards) but pack one powerful punch! Priest rules!!!
Not thrash...just great meatal
Judas Priest is so unreacted on RUclips. Go all in. Start with with Sad Wings of Destiny. Every song. Your channel will explode.
Not hair metal
It’s kind of a throwaway track on this record.
This is straight up heavy metal, not thrash or hard rock. Their speed and dual guitar attack was frequently copied by thrash bands.
Judas priest are power metal not thrash
Classic metal. Not thrash
