It is a keeper. A good friend of mine favourite phrase is: "I wonder in a 100 years who will be looking at the photo I take tomorrow.". In order for that to happen you need to print your work. I made 10 16x20 prints on Henemule fine art paper. Mostly colour but some converted to black and white. The prints are beautiful.
@MarcAdesso dude, I'm in Portugal for the week with the a7cr, I was going to bring my x100v but man, that 61 megapixel sensor is so wonderful for cropping, and the AF is quite a joy to use. Enjoy the new Leica my man.
Q3 43 has way better EVF, the 43 F2 APO is a different league compared Zeiss 35 f2.8. Sony 40 2.5 is closer but not as sharp and not APO, also f2.5 vs f2. Q3 Leaf shutter is better than A7CR's shutter. I prefer tilt LCD over foldable however it's personal preference. You can't build Q3 43 from any ILC (small 43 f2 APO, AF, big-high res EVF in that size). However because of the brand it's overpriced at least 30-40%.
That and with the GFX 55 is coming, my friend. I think it's funny that all these people keep saying that 43mm is a weird focal length- guess what, that's a 55mm on the X2D and GFX!
@@MarcAdesso All the fixed lens compacts back in the day were in that 38-45 range. the 80mm on the old Blads is 43 equivalent. The 90 is for the Pentax 67 system. It's got a long tradition, and it's interesting how it fell out of the vogue for a few decades but is making a comeback recently.
@@MarcAdesso yeah, I often find I leave the GFX when I don’t want to carry it around. I would love the Leica as a second camera, but I can only afford one and the GFX images are amazing, especially the 110mm lens.
@@Vvvrrrmmm yeah, the GFX does have better image quality, so if that is the top consideration, I'd say you made the right choice- especially for your pocketbook!
That’s comparing apples and oranges. The GFX is closer to the Leica SL3 in function and market. The Q3 is a compact travel camera with outstanding image quality.
I wouldn't say the quality of any Fuji lens compares to the Leica APO on the 43. I would ask how much that difference really matters, in many situations when we're talking about simply getting goof photographic content!
I love your photo of the Austin Moontower. The one at 12th and Rio Grande anchored my Austin High experience, angst-inducing as it was!

@@elizabethmacdonald5398 yes- if you have a camera you love, you will shoot it…and then you have to print what you shot!!!
I agree with you and it is a keeper for me. The lens is truly amazing.
Awesome!!!
Dude I would also suggest the sony a7cR with the sony zeiss 35 2.8 as a everyday carry option as well. The 61mp sensor and tiny size is pretty epic
@@AllCarsUnited totally agree! The a7CR is even great with the little, plastic fantastic Rokinon 35mm.

The exposure issue seems to only happen in AFC & iAF .. AFs usually has no issue
I will try it out and report back, thanks!
It is not the length of the lens hood, it is the baffle they added to it that is not in the Q3-28 lens hood
For such an expensive camera I would expect a seamless and wonderful experience - it did not feel that was the case
Yeah, the camera is not perfect...but is a joy to use...
What grip are you using on the Q3 43?
it’s the SmallRig grip: amzn.to/3ZZypVc
X2D with the 55V would be an interesting comparison 😁

I saw a video of a cheap fuji camera that has the same quality as the Leica Q3 43.

Maybe cut back on the caffeine? 😂
hahaha, espresso for life!
Get a GFX and enjoy the insane IQ. So true about the menus though.

But why the quality of a cheap fuji is the same as the Leica Q3 43 ??? Every body says is one of the best lenses out there.
