Lean concrete mixes is a concrete mix with low cement content and high percentages of aggregates, it is used in several works such as the blinding concrete under foundations and as leveling course below footings or in mass concrete such as dams. Hi John, you mentioned bending a tube round to mark the shape of the curve onto the slabs but this part wasn't shown in the video, could I ask what tube exactly did you employ to achieve this please? Great quality work by the way.
Sorry David, I thought it was in the video. Yes we use a electrical ducting Pipe I have had for years its great for Achieving the desired look and shape.
Hi John, loving the videos. Sorry if asked before but can’t find it. What does your lean mix consist of? Was heading down the route of type 1 but see you mention lean mix for porcelain. Thanks for any tips pal!
Great videos, very helpful. I've laid an Indian sand stone patio but it pool in the centre. Would you suggest installing a drain or just pulling the offending tiles up and re-doing?
Hi Johnny. Great channel, very informative and professional. I'm looking at putting down a porcelain patio in the near future. Do I need 100mm of type 1 as well as the lean mix, if so how thick should the lean mix be, or can it be 100mm of lean mix? Cheers
Enjoy watching our videos, not something we get much of here in Norway, which is a shame. 🇳🇴 do you have a link or details with regards the chalk marker? 👍
If you would of slurried them edgings they would of been fine. Way overboard doing it that way. Of course you will say better be safe than sorry but that's no reason in that situation. How many of your previous jobs are you called out to where you have slurried them.?
Some quality work Johnny Boy ! 100% have my respect 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Thank you Sir

Hi Scott mate just redo
Why are you using lean mix to fill the void up on top of the wall? Why not just type 1
Because it’s more stable? What’s your thoughts?
