This series is something that is so real, that it make you wonder. It should be renewed for full 23 Episode not just only 13. The Machine must survive, so the bad guys can get punished.
Love the video ! The real problem is that CBS is just too rich with really good shows.I believe that CBS tends to be very selective when renewing programs.It is all about competition with the other big networks.POI is just too full of talented people to stop so soon ! If the show is cancelled we can only hope that another network picks the show up.I honestly haven't seen too many big budget movies that have the quality of POI.As Root say's "Keep fighting !".
The thing is "13isnotenough" is not the big issue. Of course, having a full season will be better but... The big issue is : will season 5 be the final season ? And that's more matter. Because if it's the finale, then we will have a sloppy ending. If we have 2 more seasons of 13-16 episodes, I think it's perfect. 6 seasons is what Nolan always planned to do.
The Machine I am too. I also love to have 25 or more episode by season. But we have to be rational, this show cannot have 9-10 seasons. I'm just hoping we have a excellent finale serie at least in the sixth season or more.
Hego Damask Yes, they may want to end it with 5 or 6 seasons but I think Person of Interest definitely can last 9-10 seasons. The storyline and the writers are good enough to do that, they've proved it. There are worse shows that had 7-8-9 seasons. I would watch it with pleasure even if Fusco was the only regular on the show.
Hego Damask I think the bigger question is, "If they want to do more episodes after these 13, who is going to broadcast them?" I suspect CBS will drop the series next spring. I guess you know that PoI reruns start on WGN-America in September. If they do well on WGN, I bet (if CBS drops) Warner will go to WGN-America, asking if they are interested in broadcasting a season 6. There are financial considerations. I am hoping that (if it comes to that) WGN-America says "Yes."

Warner brothers cancelled the show NOT CBS. Cbs is owned by WB. If they sell the rights to the show I'm sure CW, Netflix or Amazon would be happy to pick it up where it left off. They said they gave the show a good ended with the possibility of a reboot later on if they wanted to. So that makes me think that the way the show end it gave some closure however it still can continue in the future with the ending they gave.
And don't forget about Jim Caviezel, he's not bad looking himself. Oh,, and the guest stars, many of them were quite striking; April Hernandez, Paloma Guzman, Sally Pressman, ElaineTan, the list goes on and on. But yes, it was really nice watching Amy and Sarah kick butt every week.

The reason the show is ending is one reason and one reason only. Season 2 ended with 14.7 million viewers ( Almost unheard of for a show in its 2nd season). Season 4 ended with 8.2 million. Why? Because Nolan, the writers ruined the show by introducing social commentary, and Nolan is focusing on other projects and doesn't care about the show anymore. He made his money, it's got over 100 episodes which makes it prime for syndication. The first 2 seasons had some of the same actors, writers and directors (John Cassar) who did 24. Root and Shaw are now "in love" and the guys (Finch, Reese and Fusco) all come off as dunces next to the women. Can you imagine if a love interest developed between Jack Bauer and Tony Almeida at season 4 of 24? It would have been canceled after 2 episodes. This has nothing to do with being "anti-gay" either. The show is about ex-assassins, psycho hackers and bad people. Any romantic encounters on this type of show should be incidental at the most, such as the back story of Reese and Jessica and not a central focus. Unbelievable. Even though many fans begged Chris Carter to begin a romantic relationship between Mulder and Scully, he knew that it would have ruined The X-Files and chose to keep it out.
DonDraperism You kidding me, right? As far as I perceive, Person of Interest was ALWAYS about social and moral commentary, expressed in a "lighhearted" kind of way. No matter it's the machine, government or Samaritan, no matter it's social level or individual level. It was always supposed to be about the AI and arising struggle, not to mention a matter of society and how it affects ordinary people, with Mr. Greer's charming and though-provoking smile of "I don't give a fuck anymore"! Plus, imho, it has THE BEST romantic relationship I have ever seen. It's pure fan service, true. But it fits so fucking well! And it's not the central focus. The central focus is the Machine and Samaritan. Root and Shaw is only a very open-minded "taste" (that tends to shape the plot on occasions - which isn't silly or OOC at all!). I find it a bit sad that its popularity generally comes from "yay, gay couple!" attidude but it's still a smart fanservice ship nonetheless. It breaks a silly stereotype of shocking effect and diabolical "un-empathic killers" (who are completely uncapable of mantaining any kind of relationship or care), the very same stereotype and trope that is still present worldwide, even in the professional psychology! Well, okay, in fact it's true, they might not REALLY care in the way the most people do, but they might be completely capable of "care" in many different ways and they still might feel various things or even discover some new feelings and long lasting companionships that give them a proper willingness to REALLY engage or behave. Either way, that's where PoI succeeds, psychologically speaking. But you know why it fails in ratings, to be honest? Because people and viewers usually WANT the same shit and the same diabolical tropes all over again and all over again! They don't want any challenges to their morality, beliefs or views. They don't want to perceive a tv show with distance and lighhearted playfulness (PoI quirks, including nearly all characters, especially in seasons 3-4), while at the same time engaging in moral challanges and though-provoking subjects where there are no definitive answers (PoI's "social commentary" and philosophy). PoI is entirely different of course but reminds me of Lost and its own progression through seasons 1-4. I'm not really sure but it might be the case: Lost chose to include that silly Kate-Jack-James triangle and keep it going until the very end, even though there were other, fresh and better romantic relationships on the show. It might have helped with the popularity but it was so LAME, even though Lost was very intelligent nonetheless. PoI DID NOT include a major romantic relationship. It only spiced things up among the fandom with a smart solution of "psycho" hacker and ex-killer flirting with eachothers, having fun and - eventually - somehow "bonding" together. And it's not silly whitewashing or OOC because the "dark sides" of their characteristics did not change at all. It's really lighhearted (perfectly fits their personalities) but serves the same psychological (or rather philosophical) role as all the other romantic stuff on the show, including Reese/Jessica/Carter, Harold/Grace and now John/Turing. At the end... as much as I like this show, it's no wonder it might get a shitty ending due to only 13 episodes and no further interest in it. Humanity definitely needs to evolve. Such a bad code! lol

I've never seen that happen on a show (I admittedly don't watch that many, but PoI has the perfect mix of realness and fantasy that I couldn't resist) so for me this kind of fan-writers-relationship is adorable. They don't care about prejudices or limitations and if they feel like it - they will try to breach them and discover something new. Shaw may prefer man for casual stuff and sex, yes. But it doesn't mean she is attached to them. Not at all. They are just means to an end. But Root is different. They connect more. They play more (psychologically speaking, for example) and much different than just friends (casually speaking, for example). Root is more obsessive (one of her traits - the machine, for example) and that's why she seems so attached and obsessive towards Shaw while Shaw "doesn't give a damn". But it's not true. Shaw is interested as well. If she woudn't - Root wouldn't be allowed to behave that way (especially that they started as rivals and - at the begining - sadism was the only thing that bound them together). Anyway... Yeah, it's more complicated than just "BI" or sexuality. You need to count antisocial sociopathic ingredients plus obsessivness towards personalities. And even though it wasn't planned realationship... it still works perfectly (psychologically speaking), as I mentioned in another of my comments here. So it's entirely possible. If you want to choose between "born" or "developted"... it's always simplification. There are always both: nature AND nurture. Well, yeah. Society is pretty much dumb and they come up with various shit, like prejuduices, ostracizations etc. so I can see why it's hard to find anyone (in real life) who would be willing to dive into "nurture"... but it's not impossible, psychologically speaking. It should go for the gold with 10 seasons or more like X-Files. Even that show had it's up's and down's. Plenty of twists and turns could be played into this show. Once 'The Machine' is back and starts to fight the infamous A.I. that caused it to go into hiding there is no stopping the writers for up to 10 seasons.
I don't understand why they canceling it, Last session they had 8-9 million viewers per every episode and most of other shows that run for 10 years have less than 1-2 million viewers ............. Please don't cancel this show!

The problem is that one or two more seasons could wrap the whole thing up. So if there is little hope of renewal will the creators of Person of Interest try to wrap everything up like Parks and Rec season 6 did? The only difference is that Parks and Rec was a comedy so it could come back after "ending". Person of Interest can only have one ending. But I suppose season 5 could appear to be an ending and if they get renewed the writers could cleverly continue. I have faith in them. They have done a great job so far. I usually steer clear of network television.

As much as I love this video and it inspires me to keep fighting, it is no longer about 13 episodes not being enough. I guess I will reserve judgement on that when I get to see Season 5 (if we ever get to see it) I am so sick of CBS play games with us. Th bigger fight now is to convince Netflix or another network to pick POI up for Season 5. I just started watching this show on Netflix and on Season 3. Goos show but I am disappointed that Carter died. I wasn't a fan of her in the first few episodes but loved her character later on. Sucks she left. Root and Shaw certainly add their own element to the show but Carter was an awesome character.
+The Real Roman Gladiator This doesn't have anything to do with them being gay, smart guy. Their self-opinionated and exaggerated characters are what I don't like. I hated them even 3 years ago when we were in season 2 but the show didn't really focus on them until season 4, that's why I was ok with them before. Don't make assumptions about people just because they don't adore the tv characters you like.
In one snick-pic I saw, Grace was walking away in a cematary, the reason I know it was Grace, is that she was wearing the same coat she was wearing in season 3 episode 20( where Greer kidnap her). Then it pan down to a whole in front of a headstone like there was something bearied there like a stach of something,(like money, fake passport, keys). What i'm saying, is she picking it up for someone or is she picking it up for her? Chirp
I try very hard to look at bad guys, and see just a little good in them. But there is no good in any one except Alias. One thing though when you cut one head off two show up. Like Reese said, "there is to much bad and not enough good". Chirp

13 is not enough. Neither is five seasons. They need to get it back online. Another network has to pick this up.

It should go for the gold with 10 seasons or more like X-Files. Even that show had it's up's and down's. Plenty of twists and turns could be played into this show. Once 'The Machine' is back and starts to fight the infamous A.I. that caused it to go into hiding there is no stopping the writers for up to 10 seasons.
I don't understand why they canceling it, Last session they had 8-9 million viewers per every episode and most of other shows that run for 10 years have less than 1-2 million viewers ............. Please don't cancel this show!
I can't wait til season5 come out I watch it on Netflix and I couldn't get enough of it I wish that they could make like 10 season's or 15 like some of the other popular shows

The problem is that one or two more seasons could wrap the whole thing up. So if there is little hope of renewal will the creators of Person of Interest try to wrap everything up like Parks and Rec season 6 did? The only difference is that Parks and Rec was a comedy so it could come back after "ending". Person of Interest can only have one ending. But I suppose season 5 could appear to be an ending and if they get renewed the writers could cleverly continue. I have faith in them. They have done a great job so far. I usually steer clear of network television.

As much as I love this video and it inspires me to keep fighting, it is no longer about 13 episodes not being enough. I guess I will reserve judgement on that when I get to see Season 5 (if we ever get to see it) I am so sick of CBS play games with us.
Th bigger fight now is to convince Netflix or another network to pick POI up for Season 5. I love POI but Electric Romeo always reminds me of Flash, the ultimate weapon.
I just started watching this show on Netflix and on Season 3. Goos show but I am disappointed that Carter died. I wasn't a fan of her in the first few episodes but loved her character later on. Sucks she left. Root and Shaw certainly add their own element to the show but Carter was an awesome character.
If Shaw wants to be "Drew," make her take a job with the Machine overseas. Minimize her role.

This doesn't have anything to do with them being gay, smart guy. Their self-opinionated and exaggerated characters are what I don't like. I hated them even 3 years ago when we were in season 2 but the show didn't really focus on them until season 4, that's why I was ok with them before.
Don't make assumptions about people just because they don't adore the tv characters you like.

In one snick-pic I saw, Grace was walking away in a cematary, the reason I know it was Grace, is that she was wearing the same coat she was wearing in season 3 episode 20( where Greer kidnap her). Then it pan down to a whole in front of a headstone like there was something bearied there like a stach of something,(like money, fake passport, keys). What i'm saying, is she picking it up for someone or is she picking it up for her? Chirp
