Brady, Blue, I'll see you in 3 weeks in Greece... I love Walt and Jess, they're tremendously great people. I'd love to dive much more often but here's the hitch. October 1st I'm homeless. October 2nd my hulls will fill the seas and I'm not coming back... :) !!!!!
Thanks for once again including such a wonderful positive video guys, truly love your work! Can’t wait until my kids are old enough to do a sailing course with you guys!!! You have been such an inspiration since the Delos days! Sending love and thoughts!!!
Brady and Blue, I just gotta say, I've been with you guys for a couple few years now, I've missed you and your videos greatly and every time you post one its like ok drop everything right now and go watch. I understand life has changed and we can't get weekly videos these days, but my goodness is it something special when you guys do drop a bomb. Also the explanation of how sustainable fishing in Palau is done was just chefs kiss awesome, if only the rest of the world could get behind something as simple as that. Anyways love you guys thanks for bringing light into this world.
Captain Braaaady! Came for the sailing, stayed for the story telling. Always fun joining your adventures through the screen and living vicariously through ya'll. I wonder how you get the drone shot of the boat docking onto the beach 'hey can you stop when were close so I can launch the drone?' The extra effort and creativity like that is much appreciated. So cool.
Blue, you must hear this all the time, but you have the most lovely voice. It is soothing and beautiful, almost hypnotizing. Also, your film making skills are impeccable. You are such a valuable asset to this entire endeavor. Great work. I am happy for you and Brady.
WTH...Senior Brady is alive...your crazy fun antics are missed...followed you for years...hope Blue is keeping you happy...lol...hope your school is doing good...luv ya both.
Great video. Blue's commentary reminds me of the old crew on Delos and the great job she did then ...... and continues now ....... making you dream you are there with her.. Keep'em flyin
As a diver who may likely never make it to Palau, I'm really enjoying this series! In addition to everything else, I've always loved your dive content ❤
Thanks for another awesome Palau video! Great cinematography of the jellyfish swimming. Appreciate hearing from the locals and love their culture of preserving the Earth.
We were just saying wheres Brady now! Great to catch up, so glad i found this! Keep up the great work! Love the great shots and time lapses. The narrator is pretty good too! 🙌😎 Great to see you! Waiting for the next one... 🤪
@10:50 I've done a lot of important thing with my life. The fact that you're all streaming this around the world was due, in a little part, to my work. Right now, I'm doing a lot of good work keeping heat and electricity flowing to homes, hospitals, EMS, and anywhere its needed. I want to finish out my days making people happy like Malahi is. I can just tell, very easily that she's self-fullfilled.
Aaaaaaaaand I'm caught up on your videos. I love your edits from Delos days to now your own channel. Better than anything on any streaming platforms. Looking forward to more videos.
Brady & Blue, great video. What a magical place. I hope the locals prevent all developement on the islands. I have seen too many paradises ruin over money. Next time i am in Tahoe, i will look you up. YOU GUYS ROCK!❤❤
Cool video! There is also a farmer jellyfish called the upside down jellyfish (Cassiopea), found in the Florida Keys. These jellyfish are mostly stationary. Primarily staying in one spot turning upside down on the bottom of shallows, turning their tentacles towards the sun. So they can grow a crop of algae to harvest for food! I was amazed when I discovered I was not witnessing a mass die off of jellies in the mangrove shallows; but actually was checking out a vegetarian co-op of jelly farmers. Tending their crops! Nature is so diverse and fascinating. Thanks for taking us to Palau, I have always wanted to check those lakes out! Never knew about the poisonous depths of water in them. Interesting.❤🎉
As part of week long scuba trip in Palau, my wife and I did the jelly fish lake. I do not remember any cautions about going too deep. I think (but not sure) I was in scuba gear but I do remember the water temperature as warm. There were thousands of jellies which were quite unconcerned with the 20 or so humans swimming around among them. There seemed to be only 4 or 5 types of jelly and they seemed to be uninterested in other jellies too. I do remember the funky wooden dock/stairs from the open water. It was a unique contrast to saltwater ocean water diving!
Awesome! I think scuba diving has always been banned as you’d be kicking and likely shredding jellies plus the toxic depth issues but I could be wrong! Such a cool spot
really wonderful videography. the storm shots were awesome. loved jellyfish lake. one question. you didn't go into why there were fewer jellyfish at that point. Is it some sort of cycle? Yall are doing great. I've been watching since you were on Delos. I tried the patrern link and it takes me there, then it blanks out. I'm on a 2017 MacBook Air.
There are a lot of things that influence how many jellyfish are currently in the lake... I know a big one is temperature, if it's too hot they will die off. Also the anemones that live on the sides of the lake can eat the polyps before they reach medusa maturity. Unfortunately oxybenzone sunscreen from tourist can also kill the jellies off. The lake was actually closed for a few years and had just re-opened when we went!
Wow - your photography and the jellyfish! Mostly, i enjoyed learning of Palau from a local legend and only God could have led me to yourr video that included reference to rich cultural history of First Child Ceremony the morning after I learned I'm goiong to be a Grandpa! Thank you for sharing the beauty of Mother Earth and protecting her.
Delos will always hold a special place in our hearts, but our future CA boat will be in a different direction! Excited to see who does make Delos theirs tho :D
@2:45 Holy heck! Those two guys again? Little ditty 'bout Jess and Guss-li-ing. Two American kids growin' up un-der-what-ah! Jess gon' be a SCUBA sta-ar! Gussling is a washed up movie stah! I MISS YOU FREAKING GUYS!!!! See you in 3 weeks in Greece!!!!!!!! YEAGH!!!!!!
That's crazy that a jellyfish can live in fresh water and very interesting about the water being able to eat your flesh from the billions of dead and dying jellyfish. Really cool!
The drone shot got me thinking. Up to the first airplane 1903, no one had seen what their land & surroundings looked like from the air. except from a MT. top* view.. For thousands of years only birds had their lay of the land.. Hope Blue & Bradster are doing well .. been awhile.
Hey guys, great video as always!! Thanks for that... I was wondering what the ecological function of jellyfish is. Any idea? What happened to an ecosystem that is jellyfish "infested". I am pretty sure that's a way of mother nature to repair some damage. But just guessing here... Anyone knows??
Its sad how sparsely filleed it it now. The drought really did a number on Jellyfish lake. It used to be FILLED. Like every few inches. Very sad to see. Im suprised theyre allowing people to go back into it. Edit: the golden jelly was the millions she mentioned.
I love the videos you guys share with us and the under water footage is second to none. Of course I'm not there in you all's world but I still think you got the short end of the stick, Brady is directly responsible for millions of the subscribers in his previous gig but got nothing for it, not fair. Can't wait for your next episode, I know it will be great.
Awesome video as always guys. BUT seriously, 2 months is way way too long between epidodes. Especially if they are like this one that's part-1 & part-2.. I have very little memory of first part.. :(
We do what we can to keep the channel going but the sailing school is our main focus, so it’s either no channel or just aiming to get videos out when we can and enjoy the process. Hope you understand!
Another amazing video brady and blue. The cinematography is as always , on another level! Definately putting this down on my bucket list. Looking forward to the next one ! As always...... sending the underwater love from Down Under ❤❤❤❤🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
Im from Palau & kind of upset that This title is misleading! sorry I needed to make a comment before watching the video, but nothing is DEADLY about this Jelly fish lake... if anything, it is a One of a Kind in the world!
Guys, reality check, that was quite the click bait. I have been to Palau many times, and swam in jellyfish lake. Nonody is going to snorkel below 45 feet, the jelly fish, as you mentionned are constantly in search of sun, they are all very close to the surface, there is nothing deadly about in these lakes. It's a bit like saying the volcanoes spewing lava in Hawaii are dangerous. Well yes they are, but only if you jump into the red liquid stuff. Love you vids, but this was a bit over the top
Unfortunately if you don't come up with creative thumbnails, allllll the work that goes into creating an episode falls flat. Just the reality of youtube!
