This is my grail watch, and I also have it like you! Good news, I don't know if you knew, but this model is now discontinued which means we both have a piece of history! Also for those saying there's no contrast, you should see the watch in person, it's a killer! Size is perfect

I don’t think discontinued but, the did change the reference number because of some slight modifications to case and bracelet

i bought a master copy just today and it looks awesome almost like the real deal no one can tell from afar but i hope to one day buy the real one same colour same dial same model. Amen.
Great looking chronograph. I agree, power reserve isn’t all that important relative to proportions. I don’t find a twelve hour counter particularly useful. I own an El Primero with a twelve hour register, the setup they use on the Original which really allows a user to read in 1/10 a second is very useful over short intervals such as sporting events- Lap times, time from 1rst to second base etc.

AP makes their Royal Oak chronograph in 38mm and 41mm (Flyback Chronograph)

I have two grail watches… I want a solid yellow gold day date with gold stick dial and the royal oak chronograph but I think I agree with the blue dial crowd, although your watch is beautiful, I wear my watch as a tool watch, it’s silver like that I think the dial is a little harder to read at a glance. I could be wrong tho. That is a beautiful watch btw and if I had the money and that’s what was presented to me, I’d buy it in a heartbeat.

Forgive me for sounding pedantic but i think thats a grand tappesserie dial not petite. The mega for offshores, grand for regular ROs, petite dials are generally found in the jumbo models. Whatevs

One small note - the movement is not in-house by AP. It is actually from F. Piguet who is not linked in any way to Edward Piguet (one of the founders). It's just a coincidence that family names are the same. That is also why, the 38mm chronograph models do not have the open case back to show the movement.
Yup, it’s a F. Piguet movement! One of the more commonly used F. Piguet chronograph movements in that size
The family relationship is pretty well documented. These watches and movement makers go back centuries.

Great pronunciation! Truly a grail watch. It's everything in one. Dressy, sporty, classy. It can do it all. Look good wearing it while sipping tea at the Ritz. Or a bite at Fortnums. Or perhaps evening dinner. It will never look out of place or arrogant. It's a remarkable timepiece.

I prefer the previous one with the AP logo and I think it's ridiculous for that price that you still don't have hacking seconds.. Grey one is better choice over the blue one ! Looks almost the same like the Tissot PRX Blue
Movement is the same as the previous RO 38mm Chronograph but I actually prefer the redundant Audemars Piguet, AP, Automatic dial text

What are you timing for 12 hours? You need a minute and a half hour to an hour. 40 hour power reserve for a high priced watch? Just awful. It is nice looking. That 40 hour pr is the deal breaker.
