I saw Jackie at a night club in Brooklyn, NY around this time in '92 just hanging out and just passed him by. I knew who he was but just said to myself he's from another generation why bother saying hello. I wish I would have said hello and told him what a tremendous and funny talented man he was and how much I admire him.
Jackie Mason, he's the best. I think what makes people laugh so hard and so spontaneously is that everyone realizes that when he pokes fun at a particular group, Jews, Gentiles, that the people listening realize that they do the same thing sort of thing. The biggest laughs a comedian will get are "nervous laughs," the person in the audience seeing themself in the joke. RIP, Jackie, you made a lot, a lot of people happy.
During a lengthy workshop session I caught the Jewish husbands sketch. Work stopped for 2 hours on new years eve. And resumed the following day with six of us impoysonatn Jackie. He was totally infectious. RIP Mr Mason.
💕 adore Jackie. We saw him at the Fox Theater in Detroit. He ‘picked’ on my husband - & my dear hubby adored it! My dearest is now gone for 7 years … but a wonderful memory!
Jackie Mason was one of the greatest comedians in show business. Combining wry observations with a little sarcasm, he was able to tap into some great universal truths. Many comedians owe their styles and careers to him. The only thing I'm sad to learn is that he began sliding into the use of four-letter words, which he had previously opposed.
it is so true: feels like russian jews from Odessa, who live now on Brighton beach in Brooklyn NY LOL All of them sound exactly like this LOL 2 jews are talking,1:" My wife is an angel" 2: "Lucky, mine is still alive" :)
A seventy-year-old American Jew putting in ninety hilarious minutes on stage at one of the world's finest cultural entertainment venues, and nobody's complaining. What an edel mensch.
I'm so glad I found this! From watching the ant and the aardvark as a kid to his movie roles (watch caddyshack II, to hell with the critics) to his stand up comedy. I just Love him to pieces.
Just like a Great Jazz musician, Jackie can improvise with the greatest of ease. And actually listen to hecklers complaints and correct the audio issue too.
I L❤️VE how he: 1) Deals with NO ONE laughing at the start 0:24 2) Handles The Angry Screaming Guy in The Back Row 2:34 Great tips on how to deal with your own audiences. Jackie was BRILLIANT!!! 🤣🤣🤣
I had to turn this off to watch later. I am trying to take a nap because i am tired and i can't stop laughing! Don't play Jackie Mason at my funeral - YOU'LL BE SORRY!!!!
Jackie was great in Mel Brooks' History of the World - Part 1. He played the part of the Jewish man during the "The Inquisition" part, talking about the people who "started playing ping-pong with my balls". He took his Jewishness to heart. Listen to how many times he says the word "Jew" in this video. The only ever Jewish stand-up comedian i know of that talks about his Jewishness, mentions other Jews in his act, is Lewis Black. Maybe there are more out there. May he RIP.
I've liked comedy since I was a boy and I used to have 2 albums by him years ago. Now that I hear this, he's even funnier now. As a matter of fact I think he's my favorite comedian now. Too bad he's no longer with us.
Jackie was great in this video. He never was bad in any show, that i know of. I idolize stand-up comedians, where they always have something to say. It is their act. They gotta have a great memory to remember how their jokes go. They can't bomb a joke! They gotta keep their audience entertained, and they do a great job. Even some comedian, or comedienne, who sucks, like Amy Schumer, does a great job in keeping her audience entertained.
Opera means labour. Labour dressed up as love or hate, or both, it doesn't matter. It boils down to labour, it's the pain before birth, it's the tedious work of existence, it's a movement that never quite passes anything meaningful. One thing it isn't is high art, unless you're hooked up to the entonox.
I listen to his bin laden line, how they were getting closer and closer everyday, I laugh every single time I hear it, his way your saying things I love
Completely underrated. Better than Dangerfield, Cosby, Barr, Burr, Newhart, Miller, Klein, Winters et Al and all those other cocks that are rated higher than him
You don't realize what an amazing talent it is for one man to hold an audience for over an hour like that
ESPECIALLY British people, they are very awkward, and are not used to REAL comedy!
@@unlokiawhat?
A lot of us do and that’s why we are here! 👍
@@unlokiaknow what a glaikit hoor is?
Rip, Your wonderful brand of humor will not be forgotten
Uh

Jackie Is so funny, so universally totally appealing to an international audience
He is just great! Thank you
You are Jewish, he is jewish.
@@ImGoingSupersonic But the audience is a majority non-Jewish and they are laughing.
Jackie is amazing. His timing is perfect and his delivery is marvelous. My favorite comedian ever. I start laughing even before he starts his show.
Laughter is the best medicine. Watch Jackie and feel better!
Agree.
RIP Jackie, you will always be beloved!
ONE OF THE GREAT COMIC GENIUSES OF OUR TIME ! HIS JEWISH BRONX ACCENT, BODY LANGUAGE AND JOKING ABOUT HIS OWN CULTURE AND HERITAGE IS HILARIOUS !
What are you SHOUTING?
Thanks for memories and make us smile over 60 years 🎖🎖🎖
Thanks for the memories Jackie, RIP
Handled the microphone problem perfectly. Great to see a real pro taking control of the situation.
NICOLE ORZECHOWSKA - thank G-d he has a personality...

Watching my Johnny Carson he cracks me up doing the Ed Sullivan imitation Ed Sullivan almost ruined his career over a stupid misunderstanding
Jackie Mason, he's the best.

I'm a Roman Catholic and I love Jackie Mason's Jewish humour. He's right up there in my favourite top comedians.
I'm an Episcopalian and I agree! I've always loved Jackie!
Anglican here, and still laughing at the truth of God's sense of humour.
I miss Him.......
Ditto. Anglican. The funniest stand up comedian ever
Nobody cares how gay you are.
I'm not a big hero worshipper but Jackie is one of my heros. It is true that laughter is the best medicine and Jackie is my favorite Doctor.
What a gem he is. And who knew he can sing! Great comedian and hazzan.
Everybody.... 😮😂🎉🎉🎉😊

Loved him as a kid and even now in 2021 I keep coming for more.

One of my favorite comedian's. The good old days when you watched real comedians and before this PC bs!
The way he handled the hecklers at the beginning made for an excellent start to the show… What a pro.
Think so?
Just found out about this guy today.... Brilliant
You were amazing I had the pleasure of seeing you in London some years back
During a lengthy workshop session I caught the Jewish husbands sketch. Work stopped for 2 hours on new years eve. And resumed the following day with six of us impoysonatn Jackie.
He was totally infectious. RIP Mr Mason.
Jackie is hilarious, sharp, irreplaceable, unique.
The show was over ten minutes ago, I was ashamed to tell you about it. Great line.
Has there been another comic so good at doing similar routines for years? Jackie never gets old.
Total Procall His material never gets old because frankly it was never new.
That's his natural hair color too. My aunt Bertha buys it... the bottle says 'All Natural Hair Color.'
Jackie Mason, R.I.P. the greatest standup comedian.
💕 adore Jackie. We saw him at the Fox Theater in Detroit. He ‘picked’ on my husband - & my dear hubby adored it! My dearest is now gone for 7 years … but a wonderful memory!
I don't think anyone could hold an audience like Jackie.

Jackie’s impersonations are too funny! Never heard better.
He is brilliant!!!!!!!!!!
He is in the Mount Rushmore of comedians with Jack Benny, Lenny Bruce, George Carlin, Rodney Dangerfield and Don Rickles.
Absolutely right. In addition, he's unique, no one was or ever could be like him. There was only one Jackie Mason, IMO, the best!
Let's not forget AL BROOKS, , DICK SHAWN,WOODY ALLEN
Laughter is the best medicine and Jackie Mason had a PH D in comedy. Great material and great delivery. Bless you Jackie.
Mount Rushmore of Comedy. A little too Jewish, a little too Jewish.
Aging makes one more of who he is: a warm Jewish kid
A Master at his craft. Rest in peace.

Very good comedian, very good, enjoyed him a lot. Intellectual comedian.
Just like a Great Jazz musician, Jackie can improvise with the greatest of ease. And actually listen to hecklers complaints and correct the audio issue too.
