This one is one to love. You’re a good man, on video, Sir. I applaud you for taking us through your journey.
Dan, one of my favorite videos that you have done! Love the views, but love the background. A great big thank you to Grizzly Discoveries, and especially Sebo and Cash!
I've often wondered how all this mining stuff works. Quite a process! Thanks, Dan!
Glad to help!

Buying 10 thousand shares Monday. Great video
So much info! Great video. Love seeing professional's doing what they love!
Greetings from the BIG SKY. Good find.
Its nice seeing some of the more official background stuff that happens with these claims. You are in a good position to show both the hobby side and the company side of prospecting and I am as happy to see these types of vids as I am to see the panning vids.
That snake is a species of Checkered Garter snake, looked like a young adult, non-venomous, live bearing meaning they don't lay eggs, they give birth live.
Always informative, educational and entertaining, thanks for letting us share in your adventures, teaching and entertaining us along the way....thanks for all the effort you put in for us.
No effort. Coming from someone that didn't finish High School. Where have I been wrong in anything I have said. I'll debate you anytime.. throw something at me and see how it sticks
@@Paulftate Who are you even talking to man? You're wrong in the first sentence I've ever seen you write. Every video takes effort to make. The only thing you need thrown at you are some psych meds.
@@Paulftate I'm totally confused what you are on about., I'm being complimentary and appreciative and you are wanting to debate? Have a great day further
It speaks as to how effective of a teacher you are that your old students want to go out and spend this time with you.
True geology video, should be more popular. An underrated science. Love these videos
Thank’s Dan. You just made my grey day shine up, and I needed that. Your energy helped and I will get my dog, pan and backpack out for some prospecting tomorrow 🙏🏻.
In Making All Your Choices Wisely *I Wish You "Remain~Happy!" Doing Your*Thing.
Thank Dan Hurd love your videos and all you share with your subscribers and patrons
Thank you so much for this video, Dan. I love geology and your office is the most beautiful place to work. If only I were as fortunate to see first-hand the open areas like that.
Make more videos with these guys! They are a blast!
Thanks Dan, nice one today. But all of you posts are.
I can see the hills where you are with my binoculars. Literally. Bout 15 miles I estimate.
My grandpa used to own that ocean picture stone claim . Still have a piece of it
Why did he sell a claim with such unique mineral deposits?
Dude found an Elk shed? That's great.
Oh yeah!
Thanks Dan one of your best videos yet. keep up the hard work
Thanx Dan! Always makes me happy I watched.
I enjoy learning more about the business behind prospecting and mining. The scenic mountains of BC make a great classroom, too.
Tank you for entertaining me tru my exams ❤
Thanks for all the info and sharing your knowledge and hard work with us! Wow!
Dan. I love knowledge you are spreading it around
This was so cool to see where it all starts...great work guys! Can't wait to find out what y'all got from these samples.
These are some of the best videos to watch and learn from
2:33 was such a nice camera angle, being amongst all the shrubs and bushes felt serene.
I never thought I would be interested in a 'kicking rocks' video but I an enthralled with the process and all the new knowledge I am getting.
Great work Dan, that's some juicy prospecting 👌
Wood hoodoo! A live feed I'm so exited. Hope everyone is having a great day!
Awesome insight into the natural materials process. Thanks you.
Thanks for the content and smiles brother. Good morning to you.
God bless
thank you for sharing the adventure and information 😀
Glad you were out in the field and working with some pros...you are getting an education
@20:33 “Hell hath no fury like a woman’s SKARN for prospecting!!” 😂😂
That was very interesting. Thank you for your time.
Interesting look at the operation
That was a great video Dan . I learned quite a bit. Hard rock mining is no simple thing
But, William... May You Continue To Make All Your Choices Wisely.
Nice job on explaining the whole exploration procedure Dan. I've spent a lot of time in core shacks just like that one. I have a couple of recent vids up on my channel showing those. The one I show is a lithium project, but the core looks very similar to the novice eye.
That was a great video! I watch the whole thing! 😊
thanks never knew that much work goes into making it a mine worth doing
The lupin doesn't really shine in that shot, but I do appreciate the good framing with the balsamroot mentioned previously in the video
Definitely having a great day Dan! Always love seeing your videos and I found a nice chunky piece of gold on my day off too! (Chunky for my creek that usually gives me flour gold)
what an amazingly interesting video, thanks for sharing this with us.
Yep yep, I'm seeing a lot of triangular vectoring. 🤔 The polarity of the magnetite is leaning towards the angle of the dangle.. Well done men! I assume you classified all the leaverite and coprolite? 🧐
😜🙃😎 I wish I had half the knowledge I'm pretending to have much less a smidgen of what Dan knows. Love this channel!
I'd love to see a video of the drilling process as well as turning a site into a full fledged mine.
will do drilling vid this summer
A lot to absorb! Thanks Dan!
Seebo is shockingly knowledgeable ..miss seeing the canadian gold stuff from him..hope he doing well ..same to you Dan the man :)
Thanks so much - I’ll be getting back to making videos one day soon- just insta/ fb lately being so busy in the field - appreciate the kind words and support
I keep learning something new every time I watch your videos there great
Glad to help
That was a great episode!!!
Thanks Dan
Solid video. I enjoy them all, but this one was fun to watch and learn about
Glad you enjoyed it!
Very interesting! Thanks for sharing. 😎
I really learned a lot today. I really never knew the whole process to really see if this is a feasible mine. Thank you. I learned a lot
dan this was a very amazing video i love your prospecting videos thank you
Awsome vid as always amigo. Hope you and the family are doing well sean. Shiny pans mate 🤘🏻👍🏻
Thanks Dan, nice video. Wish I had places like that where I live😢
That's what drives prospecting. Very Interesting video.
Thanks Dan ❤
Lol very entertaining banter!
The days of shaking hands on a deal are far a few but I have made to s of great deals with customers over a hand shake. They were great times. Good video Dan.
I always in joy Dan. Awesome
That mica is so cool!
Great video!
Thank you Dan for sharing another awesome video
Glad you enjoyed it
Omgoodness!! I used to see this stuff hiking in colorado all the time especially in the Thompson canyon and everybody(regular people) kept telling me it was nothing but in my HEART I KNEW it was something!! I still have many chunks of it! Rusty, quartz, crumbly, beautiful stuff!
Nice view.Quite the place to have a smoke also.
Another great video Dan! Although the title was a little misleading. I thought for sure we were going to see you show off 2 oz of gold that you found in one of your samples. But I understand that was from samples that that company had taken the prior-year I believe. Still really enjoyed watching the video thanks again for the very informative entertainment.😊
Ya that is a problem with hard rock sampling and assaying at a lab, the results you can talk about are always from previous trips. We won't get results from this trip until these all get sent off to the lab, later this season.
That sample talked about in the title was collected on the last video with these guys, but in that video we had no idea how rich the sample actually was.
Options are used in economics to reduce risk, as you do in this case.
Selling it blind is risky for boths sides, you can over pay or underpay for whats beneath and finding a fair price is hard.
Options does what it says, you make an agreement on a set of options on purchase or sale of an asset.
This reduces risk on both sides.
In economics its usually used for large trade volumes occuring in different currencies. - removing the risk of the currency falling or going up for both parties by locking in the value at a specific time, also called a forward trade, which is one kind of option.
Looks like the stuff from the Ogle Mountain Mine in Oregon as well.
Thanks again
you always do things properly Dan
i just loved this video!
This was a very very fun and good video Dan. I work as a core driller so this was nice to watch how things work before and after drilling. Nice job and a great video Dan 😊
Thanks 👍
@@Danhurdhat snake is a species of Checkered Garter snake, looked like a young adult maybe, non-venomous, live bearing meaning they don't lay eggs, they give birth live.
Pink elephants? Puuuuuuurfect! 😂
This was a lot of fun. 👍🏻🇺🇲
Awesome video
A lot of interesting information given out here.
Trundling rocks is one of the great pleasures in life!
The intro is basically what me and my friends do in our first Minecraft world.
What a process! I never imagined there was so much that goes into a mine pre-mining.
Loved the long format video!
Very interesting insight into the business of mining
Good men represent honesty honored to meet you on here caretakers of the grizzly Co..and of course you Dan is always great for us all to the love and knowledge you bring really enjoyable to adventure with you guys the dedication you have is awesome as well as proper identification we all love to learn thank you again for this opportunity entertaining to say the least bless you gentleman
Dan it seems like any time you go out with a couple guys you all end up having a blast! Wish I knew more about geology and could join you. 👍
I hate when I get on a Dan Hurd watchathon makes me want to go hunting but I can’t I’m a month away from my surgery
This was a great video Dan.
Thanks
Thanks Dan for sharing this information with us six stars sir
You earned my subscription today
thank you
,thank you for the education, love to know how to file a claim costs etc
You are so Amazing... Thanks for sharing your great info...
Best of Luck to you too..
Thank you so much!
I know where one of the biggest gold veins lay, its a proven honey hole. Its underneath an old 19th century hotel in central California in Gold Rush country. Mining was stopped there in WWII and never started back up. The mine was filled with water to keep tresspassers out. Would love to get my hands on that old mine, de-water it and get back down bringing the shiny stuff up. I will give you a hint: William Randolph Hearst.
Midway has been on my list since 63 I'm convinced from that and other visits that eventually a very big deposit will be found near there one day of course the old mines were very good but there's a source under there feeding all of them porphery I'd guess probably 3 to 5000 ft down drill drill drill drill thought this since early childhood in 60s
Found a quartz vein with tons of sulfides and VG in Red Lake Ontario area, not surprising but fun to say the least.
Enjoying exploring with you Dan, and learning a lot. Impressed by your generosity and commitment to sharing your skill and knowledge set with ALL, but particularly the Next Gen. Good work.
* Question: {Completely divergent & probably far from original! } but did you deliberately style yourself after the cartoon character; Yosemite Sam - or was this entirely coincidental ?!?! 🤣🙃😂😆😄
Did I somehow miss that $5700 rock sample as it never came up Hmmm!
I missed it too..
It was the one Sebo talked about at the end. 70 grams per tonne gold. It was one that already got assayed from the last trip. Unfortunately because the official assays take so long, we can't tell you what the current samples contain, just what the last group contained. That sample, 70 grams per tonne is why we are drilling this year at the midway mine.
Just a thought, if you surveyed the property with a compass, the places where there were iron deposits, would make the compass swing.
Treading A fine line in the last 3 minutes darting around RUclips rules of what you can do on THEIR Site Dan ,,, But Love your work and Zest and Energy and how much you love what you do,,, You Rock!! Get It ?? 😆
Very interesting. How do you find these claims. Do you just go prospecting open ground or buy them from other prodpectors?
the look he gave you when you asked if you will see purple elephants if you eat those mushrooms, hahaaha he was telling the truth and knows from experience
