Hi, Bea & Daniel! Out of mere curiosity (and I have every intention of abiding by their rules haha), how does IRCC monitor an international student’s working hours? Do they require you to submit signed timesheets every week?
Hi bea and daniel! I have a question for daniel.. you have mention that when applying for a job u will back to zero even if your past job experience is related to mktg or managerial position.. why such?
Hey there! Daniel here. It's not always the case, but be prepared for it. The competition here in Canada for marketing/managerial positions is very tough. You would be up against Canadians who already have years of experience. Plus, companies are usually looking for full time workers. Let me know if you have further questions!😊

Hi Jolo! As much as we want to answer your question, we don't have much information or know anyone who took medical related program. Sorry and thanks for watching. :)
I made a comment to this a few weeks ago but apparently my other channel got suspended. I'm a culinary skill student, looking for a part time job, my question to Bea is...do you already have an experience prior to applying to your job as a part time cook at a hotel? I dont have any "kitchen" experience at all. Do you have any advice as how I can get started?
Hi there! Bea here. Welcome back! We were wondering why we couldn't find your comments anymore haha. Yes, I have a little bit of experience. Don't worry, my current friends here don't have any experience but was able top get a kitchen job. You just have to be honest with the employer that you're willing to learn and do your best in the interview to show how passionate you are in the field. My advice would be to build your resume and make an impressive cover letter where you state that you really want to work in the kitchen with no experience and that you're willing to learn. Do take not that this is on a case to case basis though. It differs for everyone. Let me know if you have more questions 😊
@@BeaAndDaniel Thank you so much Bea, I'll go ahead and fix my resume right now. This made me feel better about having no experience at all in the kitchen, hope to run into you guys at campus soon. Take care!
Hi Jeffrey! Thank you for the question. I actually considered applying for a fitness company back then, but I was given an opportunity to work for a B2B company. :)

Hi, please I will like to know the essence of a cover letter? Do you need a cover letter to apply for a part-time job in Canada as an international Student?
Hi there! Awww thank you so much! I think yes, we've been speaking/studying English since prep (6 years old) For me, my internship in the US really helped :)
Your videos are very informative especially to me who has plans to come for the same course there. So would you recommend like when applying for the part time jobs, should we apply online or its better to walk into a restaurant and ask if they are hiring. Also how to know as which restaurant or hotels etc to apply to. Please do reply to my queries and its really important for me.
Hi there! To be honest, you cannot pay your tuition fee with legally working hours unless somebody else is paying for your monthly living expenses (rent, food, commute, etc). Regarding jobs, it might be difficult because of the whole COVID situation, but again, it depends on the work that you want to get. Regarding Canada or Australia, we're not so sure since we've never been to Australia. Best to do more research on that. We love Canada though.😄
Hi Ms Bea, thank u for sharing your experience. It helpss a lot. May I know what school u had attended coz my daugther is a chef. She is planning to study in canada . Is culinary mgt ok for study program. Any suggestion u can share with us is highly appreciated. Thank u
HI! If you have a valid work permit you can probably get a part-time job. Please make sure to read the conditions of your work permit before working to avoid breaking a laws.
Hi your vlogs are really great, helpful and very informative. I just have question about the resume. What if you don't have any work experience about the part time job that you are applying lets say restaurants or fast food or hotel. I was a call center agent before and now a housewife but I am coming to canada this april. Thanks for your response :)
Hi Ched! Based on our computations and our own experiences, it would be hard to do so. Kasi you can only work for 20 hours per week. Let's say you'll earn $15/hour. $15 x 20 x 4 = $1,200/month Average monthly expenses here would be around $800/month $1,200 - $800 = $400/month in savings $400 x 4 months = $1,600 *kasi roughly 4 months before you pay for the next semester* One semester could cost $8,500
Hi Katrina! You can check our video on this topic here: ruclips.net/video/Ah4OVIQKYOE/видео.html Our rent is $2,350 for a 3 bedroom townhouse. For a studio apartment, it would depend on the area. If downtown Toronto, that could easily be $1,500-1800/month
