    basket weave glove pouch
    ASP basket weave velcro closure cuff case

    Nice! Now I literally have my weapon, mags (because of muscle memory), my primary pair of handcuffs (again muscle memory), and my spray on my belt. The rest of my stuff is on my Tac vest that the department finally approved a year ago. Taking all of that weight off of the hips was a game changer.

      We are fighting to go load bearing vest but it’s been shot down continuously.

      @@bitaarmaments8004 Hopefully y’all get them. They are so much better. The compromise that we had to make is a standard vest for uniformity. So the department chose the only approved vest, which has no MOLLE for whatever reason. All of the pouches are sewn on and in the same spot on each vest, but it works.

      @@airborneinfantry23 they should allow personal vests or something, maybe color restrictions to be black vests or low vis. I personally like light weight combat vests like the Crye JPC or AVS harness, and I like how they’re very modular to at least what my needs are.

    • @bitaarmaments8004
      @bitaarmaments8004  Год назад

      I know a lot of us have personal vest typically with rifle plates, because we aren’t issued rifle plates. We aren’t allowed to wear the outer carrier for normal business but so far when things are seeming bad, no one has been disciplined for wearing extra protection.

    Our Dept. Here in Wisconsin if your right handed. Key holder, oc spray, gun holster, handcuffs then glove pouch. Left side mag pouch, gerber, light, baton and radio. If left handed then just the opsit but same order!

      @bitaarmaments8004  Год назад

      It’s probably nice to have it all uniform but the flexibility to put items in your own order for what you want easiest access for seems like a better deal.

    I’ve never understood carrying a knife directly behind the firearm like that. I find the knife is more useful if mounted to the off hand side opposite the firearm.

    • @bitaarmaments8004
      @bitaarmaments8004  2 года назад

      One of my main reasons for the knifes location is if I’m working on retaining my firearm, I’m also retaining my baton and knife.

    Just as a little feedback for the video, the background music should either be really quiet in comparison to the voice or not there at all during a video like this, makes it hard to focus on the information

    Sweet set up and video. I have had a leatherman and Gerber on my duty belts for the last 22 years. Our dept. Don't think it's proper for a law Enforcement officer to have knives on them. My back up is a Colt Commander 1991A1 45 ACP on my right ankle. I use a Sig Sauer P 320 45 ACP as my duty weapon. We started with the Smith and Wesson 4506 back in 1990. I used my Sig Sauer P 220 45 ACP back then when I got on in 1995.

    Hey! Great vid! Can you link me to where you bought that double mag pouch on that small belt at 7:59. Or can you send me yours? We get dept. issued single mag pouch 1/1 design like your double mag, but i have 2 mags and i am not allowed to wear different holders. Issue is i live in Serbia, Europe and our department has a state production that you cant buy from, but your mag pouch is just like one we get, only double - which is what i need. Can you help?

      It’s an old safariland nylon double mag pouch, I’d suspect it was purchased about 20 years ago. I use galls.com, midwayusa.com and brownells.com for a lot of this gear however I’m not sure about international orders.

      Now that we’re in 9mm I carry 69 rounds on my belt. I haven’t invested into more mags yet, I really hate that 9 and .40 mags are so identical but it’s probably coming soon.
      I prefer the adage that my pistol is used to fight my way to my long gun. If you have to go back to your car for ammo, might as well bring something bigger back.

    Is it necessary to have 2 duty belt

    • @bitaarmaments8004
      @bitaarmaments8004  6 месяцев назад

      Not at all. I started the nylon for target practice and let it evolve over the years. The basket weave is what my agency likes, so it’s a mix of agency and what I learned to like from my target belt. Then they became interchangeable so training reflects work.
