i usually use a nylon buckless inner belt to eliminate that issue and put double sided velcro on the actual duty belt inner flap so it doesn't droop or sap while wearing it 👍
@@HarryTyler-m9n Talk to a legal advisor, youtube will not be able to help you. the long answer is: get studying, become a skilled worker, apply for a US skilled worker's visa after 2 years experience in your relevant field, eventually get your green card, once you're permitted to apply for work at the LAPD. The short answer is it's more or less impossible to emigrate to the US without big money or US relatives.
I had to buy all of my gear. I ended up with a 2 piece molle belt since I'm use to it when shooting. I was low on money and found this $50 ish belt and it has been incredible. It still can't believe how well it's held up over the last year and a half of use. But because I went that route I also had to buy all the pouches and stuff individually as well as a shoulder mic. So I bought the cheaper nylon items since I had a nylon belt, including belt keepers as my backup in case the Velcro fails, I've slowly upgraded all the gear over time, and the actual belt is next on my list. I absolutely could've done that by now but for whatever reason I've put that off and spent my money on ammo and guns instead. Done if my co workers went in Amazon and bought this cheap setup with the basket weave look for $20 and it still holds up. So guys, don't think you gotta spend and arm and a leg on the best gear, buy what you can and build it over time.
The police Academy's all over the US use Safariland Sam Brown duty belts with the buckle or the 94 buckless duty belt with nylon and velcro. They come in black basket. weave and high gloss. These are the cattlelack of belts. My setup is this. My backup.belt is all dutyman pouches in basket weave like my Safariland stuff. Dutyman is real.leather with the smell, but it is thiner than Safariland equipment.
Beats with a clip and not a buckle will be much more effective trust me. Lol. Like this video. But just want to add, before anyone starts purchasing anything related to your gear on duty make sure you check your departments uniform and equipment policy. You don’t want to spend a lot of money on quality gear only to find out your department doesn’t allow it. A lot of newer guys do this with good intentions and either get in trouble with policy or wage their money when they find out. And remember many agencies will cover on duty accidents and medical situations but if your uniform or equipment wasn’t in policy they will not cover you.
I went to Duty man in basket weave pouches and an uncle Mikes duty belt for boat detail. Nice and light compared to my Safariland basket weave Sam Brown buckle belt and my Safariland basket weave pouches. That is for squad patrol. No nylon is allowed at our dept. Just leather. Bianchi and Uncle Mike's black or basket weave we can use besides our leather duty belts.
I'm curious since when does a Law enforcement agency let their patrolman carry a single action weapon. Texas Rangers and Arizona Marshalls. All other depts. Want double action?! My dept. Would not let me carry my Marine Corps 1991A1. I couldn't even carry it in security. I had to buy myself a Smith Wesson 4006 in 1992.working armed security. No single actions allowed? I carried my Sig Sauer P 220 in 45 ACP when our Dept.s Smith and Wesson 4506 malfunctioned. We switched to Sig Sauer P 320 in 45 ACP in 2015. You must have a AWESOME POLICE CHIEF! LOL. Awesome video! Your missing your stinger flashlight pouch and glove pouch?!.
So I'm actually thinking about joining the police force. What are some of the more in depth requirements for academy. Anything from grooming to mindset?
One thing inwish is that they'd have like an entire set like instead of buying everything separately why not have a oackage deal where you get it all? Theyd sell way gaster and make more money
Hi my name is Clark. And I love guns so I was wondering if you can do entire video on a deer hunting rifle so I could get know what I’m doing with it I’m out there hunting and I will. I also was if you can do a hunting video of a thank you all dropped comment and I just love your videos.
Why do you have your baton behind the gun? I'm a Swedish security guard and aloud to use a baton in my belt and standards here is that you have the baton where you have your mags and basicly let the baton lay down along your belt if you get what i mean. Easy acces
Being in law enforcement for 25 years.... Dutyman is not that high quality. Good for the academy and security. But don't push it on experienced officers. Once you have real world experience, you will understand.
Plus why on earth would you ever want a button that hard over your mags!? That’s gonna get you killed. Second I don’t even have a cover or button iver my mags they just fit into a pouch tightly but I need to be able to get them quickly. This is not for a working patrol officer
@@brodyrichard263just crappy buttons. If I had to have covered mags, I am using a button and not velcro. Velcro wears out and buttons last longer. Nothing wrong with buttons to secure the flaps. Some departments require flaps. I like snaps to secure flaps on all my gear when I wore a full duty belt. Even for cuffs and other stuff. I liked the hidden snaps but refused to use velcro.
@@PTRRanger951 yeah alot of agencies have to have flaps but mine just almost snap into place with little prongs on each side and I carry three mags. It’s basically a holster for my mags and I can’t remember the name of them at the moment but that’s my preference if I had to choose. They are phenomenal
Pro tip from an old lapd instructor. Offset your inner belt buckle so you don't have two belt buckles stacked on each other.
Thank you for this

agree with this one
I’m from Scotland and have a quick question I would like to join LAPD when I’m older any tips? And how would I go about visas and stuff?

That classic black leather and its shine is just.. *chef’s kiss*
Thank you for your service 👮♂️

I’m using the 5.11 Serra Bravo Duty Belt and I’m satisfied enough with what that does

That duty belt looks 🔥 might just get it for armed security
Do it! Let them know I sent ya!
@skategxd I was just thinking about doing the same thing, looks way more professional than my safelite duty belt for sure.

No glove pouch!!! It is always good to have a clean back and the cuffs in your front. It will save your back in the long run.
i want to be a cop like u
u are a good cop
Johnny Q please have brighter lighting when filming like this please . Thank you
I would get a plastic rotary baton holder. So much easier getting your baton in and out.
wow i also love that leather belt. Wish i could have the same..
I start the academy this year and I have to provide my own belt and boots.

How do you take off the belt buckle
How do these cops run after suspects with all that gear
What size belt do you wear by the dutybelt??
And I also like the military
No flash light holder ?
what about a cop car tour?
Staccato for duty? You’re rich.
What holster do you use?
What about your taser

😐
What size is your belt?
You didn't pass the end thru the second buckle slot
Tell us some cool police stories
JQ so I picked up the highly adjustable Kore duty belt last week and to be honest its leaps ahead of that belt.
Are you brother with Nick off duty?
I do NOT want a stubborn button snap over my mags. No way that’s a good way to get yourself killed
I got 50$ this dude chooses and will forever choose his next paycheck over your rights EVERY TIME
Scenery background too dark
Are you worried you will probably be shot at all
Bro that things weights a ton.. ever hear of molle ?
If you really are a police officer what is your Badge number
You can google his name and see him being sworn in. BUT I don't think he is a cop anymore.
Johnny do you speak Spanish
I'm 13 in real life
"Puts hands on someone" probably a chick that refuses to give you her id because you pull her over for looking "suspicious ".
Trash
X-belt
Esstac and zero9 is far superior.
I want to be a police
You add anymore shiiii on that belt you will be walking a walking brick
