Are you going to be doing another update on the Black Goji berry? I also purchased some black Goji berry seed from Baker Creek . I planted the entire pack about two weeks ago and the seedlings are starting to sprout.
Andrew, I'll be posting a Black Goji Berry video in a day or two. They are tricky to get started but a few of them are doing quite well. I planted some in the garden but the rabbits like to eat them thorns and all.. so if you plant some directly in the garden, make sure you put some chicken wire around them until they get big enough. I'll do a quick video soon for you!
TrooHealth Thanks a lot Steven. I’ve come to realize that information on the Black Goji Berry is very limited. And i would like to make a correction on where I purchased the seeds. I purchased the seeds from fair dinkum seeds based in Australia .
Also purchased seed from Baker Creek! Got two plants going now, just an inch or two high. I use gibberellic acid(200 ppm) to speed up germination on my more precious and/or expensive seed. 👍 Hope your plants are growing strong!
Interesting.... I planted my red Goji plants in Hydro. Under 24 hour light and over 1490ppm on nutrients. Its about over a month from the time it sprouted - and it is big! Over 20 inches tall! I would defiantly recommend others to try growing it in hydro, then transition it outside. I don't know if it will produce anytime soon considering it is a very young Goji plant, but I will have it indoors to grow during the winter, that way come spring I will plant it outside to hopefully become established before next winter.
Ive had my goji berries in jiffy pellets under an led since april 11th and theyre still tiny. What kind of soil have you found they like? Theres an absolute lack of info about the black goji.
My Black goji berries have grown but haven't produced a crop yet. This year I should get some and I'll let you know. The red ones taste better when dried for sure.

I have fruit on my plant outside. It gets around 6 hours of direct sun per day, and its 2 years old. It is in mostly sand (3/4 sand, 1/4 soil)
How do you process black goji berries before you eat it? Apparently when eaten raw they're quite awful.
