Ok so dear 1 . May be if you will be lucky you can chose but I can say it's 98% that you can't chose 2 . Any civil servant isn't allow to marry any foreigner and in some case if you want you have to take permission from government and may be government will not allow... 3 . Yes they can take holidays but you know the reality its not that pretty that much it seems ...... There is a lot cons about this service 🥲

ya it is more becoz of the foreign allowance in different countries, meaning depending on your posting your pay is based, becoz different countries have different lifestyle costs. Also dont go to IFS for money....go for the thrill, the VVIP and the treatment etc
Well IFS may get more starting salary than IAS.....BUT most importantly if anyone is choosing any national services.....his/her main motive of joining the service should be betterment of the country......if salary is the main motive then that's why there is corruption in the whole country....if all the national service people.....or the ones who are desiring to be in the national service thinks for their country....then I think there will be less corruption....and its gonna help our country.....
SO many wrong information provided. 1. During MEA posting IFS are like other civil servants, no blue number plate. 2. Cars are only provided to Ambassador or Deputy Chief of Mission, not to other junior officers. They generally buy cars during their foreign posting, if needed. 3. Yeah, it's true they do not need visa to visit foreign country but only to the country of their posting. They can't use their Diplomatic passport for other usage, like visiting other countries for holidays. Then they have to use ordinary passport.
Correct yourself first IFS officers can go anywhere without visa where india has relations And they can also use their diplomatic passport on vacation holiday with MEA permission Car is also provided to Consul General Even First secretary gets car sometime

That's not true. Ifs officer get car and driver if they get promoted to a consultant general. I know this as I worked for one.

2. Cars are only provided to Ambassador or Deputy Chief of Mission, not to other junior officers. They generally buy cars during their foreign posting, if needed.
3. Yeah, it's true they do not need visa to visit foreign country but only to the country of their posting. They can't use their Diplomatic passport for other usage, like visiting other countries for holidays. Then they have to use ordinary passport.
