So the main thing is if you only want to be a civil servant because of its sparks and facilities then you should reconsider your thoughts. There are challenges in every civil service. If you just dream about bunglow & cars & other comforts then this job is not for you. Only aspire to be an IAS OFFICER or a IFS OFFICER if you are passionate about that service. Thank you very much for this video. I really loved it.

TF with passion , whoever say they are doing it for the good of society are all lying just give me an example where they do any good for the people. In India a government job is considered a stable job because my grandparent used to be one and they get pension and benefits and from this all people believe that having a government job means job security and social status. Government is earning a lot of money, they charge way too much tax in petrol and gas and earn a lot of money through all type of taxes and then just give you a government job and make you their dog and whenever you try to really bring a change they just suspend you or change your cadre. Everyone wants their good , they don't care what happens to people.

  • @jrs2002

IAS officer during the initial times have power but I do not agree with the definition of bungalow! We all know what are the condition of govt quarters in the normal districts of any Indian state. The area is big with some grass or plants and all (not the showy kind of plants you would expect in some big bungalows) but within that the quarter would be like like any normal looking single storey govt. building (sometimes very old). If you have lived in some big cities or say even in the state capitals in a decent modern flat throughout your life, the IAS quarter in districts won't feel that furnished or modern. Actually that's are how the conditions of most govt. quarters are in India. So definitely those quarters don't fit into my definition of bungalows. However when you get posted abroad as an IFS officer your life would be cosmopolitan and you would reside in the generally posh areas of the capitals or other big cities. Here you wouldn't be given a single quarter but at least a decent 3plus bedroom apartment which would be very furnished and modern, what you would expect from a modern city standards. For me, when it comes to housing, then I would any day prefer to live in a fully furnished modern apartment as per a cosmopolitan standard than the single govt. quarters. And when you are posted in developed countries/ cold countries as IFS, you get really good apartments with european elements like small chandeliers, wooden floors, etc. However the kind of housing that ambassadors or equivalents get is outstanding and fabulous and really fits into the definition of a 'richman's bungalow'!

Foreign service have all aspect:- trade diplomacy, consular division, security division ,nuclear division, environment , trade and commerce, UNITED NATIONS, SECURITY, DEFENSE , health, and monitoring analysis . most of the country has separate intelligence unit .It is said that India is way behind in foreign service with respect to different countries because of nature of recruitment , extremely low number of staff and lack of security division in MEA. @tusharkukrety4626 2 года назад +1

Yes but still with low numbers of diplomats, indian foreign policy is rising towards its peak. The reason for this is the training and professionalism of our diplomats. The part which you told about diversity in work of IFS is 100% correct, it is not known by everyone in details as such subjects are not of vast public disclosure. Many of these required some secrecy so that's why it's not openly discussed and hence people are not aware of the real importance of IFS.

Coming from a very traditional & conservative family, I haven’t been bought up with this “Nuclear Family” ideology. So it is very hard for me to leave my parents behind & work as an IFS officer. My parents are fine with it but I feel guilty. But my main problem is when they reach 70 years & are fully dependent on me, it will be very hard for them to travel with me to different countries (esp if they are on wheel chair), also the food, climate etc. Also if I leave them in the Delhi Residence with a maid, I feel loneliness will torture them (esp if one of my parent passes away). Therefore it is not feasible to carry them with me to the missions abroad, neither will it be easy(for me) to leave them behind alone in Delhi. But I want to be an IFS officer too. I know we have to sacrifice a lot to serve the country but no matter how trivial my reason seems to others, it actually bothers my mind. Hence *”FORCEFULLY”* I have to quit thoughts about IFS & rather join IAS,IRS etc.. so that I can serve the society & take good care of my parents as well. Can anybody inspire me as to why I shouldn’t quit trying for IFS? Can anybody please help to resolve this dilemma of mine?
PS: My father gets good pension too (after he retires). Also I’m a single child.

Hey, I have read somehere that there's a certain scenario that if you are a single child you are able to take your parents with you cause they are considered as emotionally dependent. Even I go through this dilemma being a single child too :) But who knows what future is like and perhaps those countries might have better facilities too and you move every 3 years . I know it won't be that easy for them but who knows what if they actually are in a good health in accordance to their age and they even enjoy travel. Just think you'd be able to make them visit the world too! And I wonder if we'd be happy if we just chose this over other things we aren't that passionate about. Even our parents won't be happy for us quitting our passions due to even thoughts of them. I go through this thoughtevery single day and I guess it is also a part of my day dreaming thing. But for now I think that whatever is to happen will happen who knows what the scenario would be down these years so it's better to focus on our dreams for now , achieve them and then if any problem comes we can do something about it .
Not a *professional tip* but that's how I motivate myself at times🙃

Ifs get mercedes type car when on post of above minister in embassy , accommodation like PM accommodation, about diversity every thing like defence, commerce, economy etc..... every thing comes under embassy and about initial stages ,Ias in initial stage becomes SDM for division but other side IFS head wing like as second secretary he/ she head one or two wing and his / her area on that time hole country not district.. , IFS one of the best services to increase intellectual mind and your area of work is hole world .
So , sir please firstly understand then make video .

The only drawback that I.F.S. have is that your spouse cannot pursue his/her career afterward. Though in IFS you can be posted to delhi till retirement , if you deny going abroad. So in that case IAS will be better.
